    - New quest with Jake
    - Tons of new stuff to do in HQ (80% of this video is demonstrating new features!)
    - Caravans work better
    - Plot crops can be harvested

      Nexus staff tells me the issue might be a problem with one of their CDNs, and suggests anyone still having this issue either try changing their download location (if offered), or to post a report on the nexus forums so their tech staff can take a look at each user's download history to sort out where the issue is.

      Sorry, but HQ is annoying. I loved SS2. Until HQ. is it possible to skip this?

      @@aenzian At present, there's a couple of options. Using the tgm 'god mode' console command lets you ignore all the costs of building, or you could just use the Holotape to 'quest skip' past How to HQ and Commonwealth Rising (although this means missing some dialog/plot). Supposedly another rework ("HQ 3.0" i guess?) is coming Soon tm.

    I've yet to finished to video, but i love the idea of using the "recruitement" weapon rather than making the recruitement dialog the default one. The animation seems immersive and i really like all the custom animations (my favorite is probably using the melee while having the camera :D ). Great job !

      I've been tempted to up the damage for melee on all of Neeher's utility weapons, just to make it extra satisfying to try and get kills with a pencil or a camera.

    I've been installing mods for video games since DOOM I or II, Sim Settlements 2 is by far one of the most best mods ever created for any game or at least my favorite. It takes the barebones system Bethesda provided, one I use to neglect, and fleshes it out with fantastic voice acting and hours of new quests to make the settlement systems a focus of my playthroughs and how I roleplay my characters. It's a technological masterpiece and really shows a deep love for and dedication to Fallout 4; the whole team behind it should be proud of their accomplishment! #SuperPatch

      The same for me. Doom 1 and 2. If you're talking about the original D1/D2. Then I got pretty into map making with Duke Nukem 3D. That map creator was revolutionary.

    @Kinggath, I am weekly amazed by your commitment to bring quality products to this community and your continued support for those products in order to iron out issues and bring things to a logical conclusion. I thank you and everyone else involved in the SS2 project for your work.
    I wonder how you find the time and resources to do all this... Then I look at how much time I've been spending to learn the CK and modding FO4 as a hobby, and it all makes sense! :)

      yes you, jake, dogmeat and nuka cola will fix vault 111 freez themselves and once SC start youll be unfrozen and go to space

      Base in Starfield is modular. You don´t need to build wall, doors and such stuff by your self. But i´m sure they will something like ss in Starfield :D

    This update is incredible! I admit I never played through the questline before but I was intrigued by the prospect of cleaning and managing an hq. There's so much to do and the storyline is really good.

    #superpatch - Love the work everyone on the team has done! Some welcome features and of course great bug fixes. Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I had installed the beta and that was working fine for me. LOVE the recruitment clipboard so we don't have that "Something else" dialog to go through!

    I have been waiting for this #superpatch for so long now, lol... I have restarted my SS2 game at least a dozen times, and keep quitting just before I start HQ up, because I wanted to have this patch in place. That said, I have seen at least one or two new little sidequests or new NPCs or other new content on each and every single one of my playthroughs, so I have really enjoyed starting over and over and over and over again.
    I have had a couple of general layouts for a couple of cities which I find I keep remaking - I just discovered a certain way to do it that really works wonderfully for me and my playstyle and my aesthetics, and I decided a couple of days ago to make one or two of them into cityplans. Of course as soon as I did that and started yet another new save file with the cityplan making mods only, I found that I just couldn't make up my mind exactly how to progress from a level 0 to level 3 plan, and I think it will be that much more difficult than I expected (and I didn't think it would be easy). Still, I am going to give it a go, and hopefully will have a few plans to share soon!
    But again, thanks for the #superpatch! Not sure if I will finish working on my cityplans, or put them on pause until I run through all of Chapter 2 again with the new content, or if I will try to swap back and forth between both!

    Hello Kinggath, it seems you and the really have outdone yourself on this one. This #SUPERPATCH looks amazing,
    I haven't played Fallout 4 or Sim settlements 2 in like 8-9 months due to taking a break waiting for HQ2.0 and
    wanting to play some other games (AC Valhalla, Forza Horizon 4 and the past 6 months or so deeply into Microsoft flight simulator.
    However you really managed to get the timing right with this patch since i now have my regular 4-5 (paid) summer off from work
    which would be a great time to get back into SS2 since being away for so long means lots of mods needs to be updated (or removed).
    With all the new content in this patch I will be busy for a long time. I hope to be able to catch one of your streams sometime but you seems
    to have a thing for streaming in the middle of the night (you streams usually starts around 03.00 my time (CEST)) so when I work I usually
    don't have time to watch (gets up at 05.30 and heads off to work 45 min later) and when I'm off I don't feel like getting up at 05.30 just to watch your stream.

    I was looking for a patch named "Sim Settlements 2 Patch 2.2.0: HQ 2" but it doesn't exist. Then I looked at the Chapter 2 mod I installed, which was released on Sept 9th, and it is version 2.2.2. I guess I have the correct mods now. It was a bit confusing because I thought there was a patch with "HQ 2.0" in the title. ;)

    For some reason, only some of the updates are showing up. For example, I have the option to change the HQ disasters in the holotape, however, none of the extra projects are showing up, the safes are missing, I cannot access the workshop outside and although all the containers do now say "storage" I cannot interact with them whatsoever. Oh, and the new desk isn't showing up in the meeting room.

      Sounds like the files didn't actually update. I've seen mod manager installs fail to overwrite the files. You might need to manually download and extract and overwrite the files yourself. Folks on the forums at simsettlements.com can probably give you some pointers if you're not sure where to put the files.

    Hello Kinggath, i have this trouble that i cant start to clean up the HQ cause there's no other option than "HQ". i thought update the version of SS2 and chapter 2 will fix this but not at all even i rolling back to my save game before "how to HQ". i really need help about this. Thanks!

    with ALL due respect, and in ALL love....you just turned my after work escape into another job. I really do appreciate everything you've done for the game and community...when i could have my settlements automated, with minimal input from me - other than deciding the settlement plan - I was ALL in.

      As with most features in SS2, all of it can be customized. Pretty much everything I showed can be turned off if you like. Ultimately, this will be an optional system for people who like the idea of building up a faction and headquarters.

    at first i was only into SS2 because of the story content, but with chapter and the HQ system, i have another layer of the game that i now enjoy. i honestly think this is the biggest and best on the nexus right now

    Strange the Comm relay does not behave as demonstrated. When I open the Comm Relay all the screen shows is code.

    I have no idea why, but after taking a 6 month hiatus from Fallout 4 I come back and after using LOOT to sort my mods, (after updating them,) the happiness number was frozen at all of my settlements. I tried starting a second playthrough, after sorting the mods again it happened again and I never got notifications about plots updating, (despite the setting being on 'automated' in the holotape,) and the happiness number was again frozen at all of my settlements. At this point I'm even scared to install an update to the mod in fear of it happening again lol

    #Superpatch An Idea I had for waiting for things in the background to finish up, like the hud stats updating or assigning settlers or destroying/reseting plots. An idle animation like a spinning wheel progess bar or a vault boy tinkering away. Idk if it's possible just a thought to make people waiting in locations know there are things finishing up and have a visual that there is progress while waiting for the pop up notification

      Could definitely be done - we have the hooks for it in Workshop Framework to make it much easier to inject progress meters - as seen in the vid when I run the optimize tool.

    I downloaded this so I did not have to micromanage settlements and did not have to build anything.... Loved the story and everything worked great...but I find having to micro manage the HQ tedious. I have to put out fires whilst trying to clean rooms.... I work, I ain't got time for micro managing. Is there a way to skip it all and just have a HQ I can enjoy, without all the energy balancing overly complicated boredom....

      HQ is definitely not for everyone, and you can just ignore it once you get to it. Once we get to Chapter 3, we will a skip mechanism for it. For now, it's effectively the end-game loop until we get to C3.

      @@kinggath thanks for the reply. I have loved the mod and just had a perfect play through. But the how to HQ bit onwards has broken me lol. We live in an era of instant gratification and it has spoilt us. I love the idea of it. I really want to get into it but unfortunately don't have the time, maybe an energy cheat for people who want to go through it all without the time. You are all doing an amazing job. Looking forward to what comes next. By the way there is a fire in my basement that can not be put out.

      @@loysenoreilly3010 Oh I actually have those options baked in already. If you change the setting Override Timers to On, and then go into god mode with tgm. You can basically just spam build everything for free and each takes just a minute or two to complete.

    Even though I haven't played F4 a few years, this is getting the I need to mod it and do an actual playthrough, hopefully sometime in the next few months. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this and possibly Starfield

      (assuming you meant "Conqueror" and not "Conquest", those are different things)
      Not yet, but Chapter 3 will very clearly be about war, so maybe then...

    Thanks for the mod and the video, kinggath. I just broke down and got Fallout 4 on PC from the Steam sale a couple weeks ago and I finally have it in a state (not with CC content on the XBOX) that I can play a big extended quest mods game (Sim Settlements 2, the Bleachers, Tales from the Commonwealth, and South of the Sea). I appreciate what you’ve done. Fallout 4 was always kind of an ultimate game for me and the Sim Settlements additions just made it better.

    Downloaded the patches from Nexus, both are stating problems, "no archive" all saves corrupted so I had to delete. Went to start again but neither SS2 nor chapter 2 will install via Nexus (archive issue)

      The issue seems to not be affecting everyone, which tells me it's like a problem with Nexus's network. I contacted someone I know there, and they suggested everyone with this issue report it to Nexus staff on their forums.

    I guess the mechanics of HQ 2.0 has some bearing on the features that might be introduced in the next Chapter of SimSettlements 2, am I right?

      There's definitely more than a few spots I can say with pretty high certainty that Chapter 3 will bolt even more mechanics into.

      HQ ends up being the focal point for some of the C3 story - so pretty important we have the bugs worked out. That said - for folks who are not interested in HQ - we will have some skip mechanics available as we don't want to make this a gateway to the story - this is supposed to be a fun new sim for folks who want to build out their own faction and HQ.

    Have an idea for sim settlements 2, I'm not really sure how it works cause I haven't downloaded it yet, still playing the first one and conquerer and I love it. The idea is though what if you have like a head council, either special npcs or like just the common settler, but you assign a leader to each section, like defense, power, food, houses, stuff like that, a leader for each section and then through them things get built, just a thought, not a fully flushed out idea

    #Superpatch I had a bug that caused all settlers to be unassignable, this would also affect all your unique settlers and cause the ones who wander from place to place to continue doing so. This would sometimes lead to entire groups just wandering aimlessly on mass from place to place. It turns out this is a bug caused by the Unofficial FO4 patch that triggers an old since patched FO4 bug and may be not playing nicely with SS2s scripts. Though the patch you released will likely not effect what I had I’m thrilled to know a lot of people affected by UFO4Ps scripts will get a good workaround.

    #Superpatch I'm eager to see the new updates in the patch. Mostly I hope the bugfixes clear out the energy problems, the caravan system and the hygiene system in the settlements. It's great that after such a long time Fallout 4 is out this mods is still expanding and alter the game to something new. Great thanks to kinggath and the whole tean for their dedication and constant work.

    Is there somewhere that lets you know what special stat are best for each department? Tried downloading the 2.2 update for SS2 and I'm getting a failed archive message from vortex.

      When you go to assign to a department, the best stat will be listed first for each NPC in that screen.
      Nexus seems to be having issues with their network delivery of files as some people are getting this issue and others aren't. Nexus staff suggested anyone having the issue report it on their forums.

    #SUPERPATCH Something interesting: Having Deacon as my companion, he strips down to his undies while he is in HQ. Every other place I go he wears the appropriate costume (Minuteman Uniform, Lab coat, etc).
    As for Workshop Framework, is there a separate mod for the override? Or do I need to adjust Vortex/Nexusmods setup to force it to being last in the load?

    Add-On creators can create their own disasters, huh? Can't wait for the eventual add-on where, if you've made enemies with the Brotherhood in the main campaign, you have to defend HQ from a rampaging Liberty Prime.
    Okay, on a more serious note, I did have a legit question about this. As I'm sure you're aware, a lot of people use mods such as "Place Everywhere" or "Scrap Everything". Now, I know that "Scrap Everything" can be bad if overused because it can remove things that aren't meant to be removed. I mainly use it to clean up corpses after attacks on a settlement, or to clean up the little things like the loose papers and small debris piles on the floor. (You would think that Fallout characters would think to use a broom at least once in the hundreds of years since the bombs fell) Would using something like that, in this manner, restricted to corpses and optionally debris decal, hurt anything in Sim Settlements? I don't want to remove parts of HQ, but I would like the option to remove the Bloatfly corpses myself or the broken bricks and loose papers on the floor. (I'd imagine the latter being possible to break things by accident, but what about just corpses?) Like I said, I wouldn't be removing HQ components, but the corpses are going to drive me insane. I already hate having to walk by the corpses at the bridge to Sanctuary, those never despawn and even with "Scrap Everything", they're outside the settlement borders and I can't reach them.
    Also, does your optimization tool take vanilla mechanics into account? As far as I'm aware, Sim Settlements plots don't run off of the same storage as normal, so I'm not going to have surplus food and water in my workbench storage if I build additional Agriculture plots. I'm going to need the default crops and everything for that. If I optimize a settlement, will it take leftover settlers and auto-assign them to vanilla resources? Would it be possible to tell it what types of vanilla resources to use first when assigning, so I can either have them focus on food production for my own use or scrap to aid in construction and upgrading my gear?

      We mostly just tell folks to watch out with scrap mods that break precombines, as it decimates performance and makes the navmesh work really poorly.
      My bet would be the optimal assignment tool only accounts for plots, as remote loading other objects can be sketchy. As far as fine tooth control over assignment order, not currently- maybe in the future.

    So, the equip by department option, how does this work with the unique settlers? Can we have an option to exclude the unique settlers? And did you consider Katie the 10 year old nuclear physicist?

      Unique settlers are automatically skipped by that system. Oh yeah, Katie is a little genius isn't she? It's always fun to see what stats different characters have - I find out in-game just like you guys do as the creative folks on the team decide that stuff.

      @@Lordoftheapes79 We had a funny bug during dev of this patch where we were force equipping the fire extinguisher on everyone - it was even it equipping it on robots and infestation insects which would cause the extinguisher to stick out of their... rears. Now I wonder what will happen if someone sends a non-unique child NPC from a mod to HQ....

    ( I'm stupid and I solved it) Hey I love your mods but The flying on the workshop Plus stopped working and it's not mod interference because I tried to installing all other mods besides the one required to make it work and I'm trying to figure it out and it's been hours.

    Love SS 2 for the settlement building and NPC quests and storyline, but got totally burned out upon hitting the brick wall of HQ quests. The quest; Build More Living Quarters, second round, just destroyed any fun and blocked any advancement for me. No way of telling which rooms can be made into living quarters until you're already commited to cleaning/building a room, and no way to recruit extra workers without building the living quarters first. After eight rooms, and not winning the "lottery" with any of them being able to be turned into living quarters I just had to give up on the HQ and seeing any more storyline or unlocks.

      It's basically an addon/expansion pack. The story continues on from 'chapter 1', and more mechanics are added.

      @@Mustang1984 There are "cheat" options in the mod's Holotape to skip quests so you can start from where Chapter 2 starts, but you still *need* Chapter 1 installed as well.

      A whole new sub-game unlocked late into Chapter 2 of SS2. Your 'team' ends up taking over a location and using it as the headquarters of effectively 'our' new faction.

    #SUPERPATCH incredible work, thanks for keeping everything free! The quest and new mechanischs are really the bomb. Imagine if bethesdat would give you more access/info/support regarding the engine/background code.
    I just have one bug with the mod. The mod menu is disabled because my game is v1.10.163 and v1.10.138 is expected. How can i fix this?

      Yes - but usually should wait a day or two to try downloading it as the servers are super slow at making the file downloadable on xbox.
