    Oof - not sure how I ended up with September 17th on the title card, my gut reaction was that Adobe After Effects was failing to save changes again - but the patch name is correct, so this was just a brain fart.

      The game is crashing every time I'm trying to go from the main room to the hallway with all the smaller rooms in the HQ please fix

      Also please find a way to make mods smaller or have everything from chapter one so we can have other mods since Fallout 4 has a smaller downloading space

    I was dreading the settlement system in my current playthrough, having never tried SS1. So glad I stuck it out for SS2. It really is as Jake said: just keep working on it, and it'll make sense. The depth the entire system brings to the table is worthy of a stand-alone game of its own.

    Thanks again to you and the team for your dedication to this mod. I keep starting new playthroughs to enjoy the story over and over again. I even held off this time with building up settlements until I could do city plans properly and then used city plan contest entries exclusively. Some amazing work done by the community, I wish I had the time to do it. Definitely like the changes to the default settings, especially disease. I had to turn off incapacitation because it was breaking my caravans. Glad you decided to #bandaid it. Morden13 on SS2 forums.

    I watched the bugfix stream and it underscored the amount of effort the modding community puts in just to be sure that an NPC can walk across a room and press a button. It really makes me appreciate all my mods not just Sim Settlements so thank you for that added value. Also,#Bandaid.

    I love sim settlements, you guys have done an amazing job with this mod! So much so in fact you’ve inspired me to pursue game design and mod making of my own! Maybe in the future once I get my system fully built an studio set up I can work with you guys on some mods! #bandaid

    @kinggath Thank you so much for this amazing mod, keep up the good work.
    I'm a returning player to fallout 4 and this is my first time trying a sim settlement mod, it's all been great up until I got to the "Who Can ASAM?" quest, where it got stuck there and it won't progress past that point. After I've assigned the new settlers on the quest to an empty settlement location. I cleared and waited for them to get there, and when they did arrive, nothing happened. I tried so many things, but nothing seems to work. Assigned a mayor and had them start building using the city planner but nothing got it to progress past that point.

    Been enjoying the mod, only issue though is I'm trying to talk to the Ron in his office during Jake disappearance quest but he's stuck on the opening line

    I forgot when it exactly happened but somehow Aiden just started following me everywhere. I can't dismiss him to the HQ or anywhere or really speak to him outside of the HQ but in the HQ the dialogue is normal.

    I found that the raider respon at concord and I think this is something that should not stay for all the settlers there were dead as soon I got near

    #Bandaid Enjoying SS2, especially the gunners providing armor upgrades for my settlers. Also like how they bunch up at start of a raid. Great mini-nuke bait😉. Possible thought tor a quest, surprised Bethesda didn’t include it: get a set of steak knives from Vault-Tec headquarters for the Vault Tec Representative and give them to him. He won them after all by getting to the future the hard way.

    I love the mod it’s great. But one issue that I’m not sure if it’s a mod issue but I’m not able to assign new settlers to plots, move any of them to different settlements, or recruit named named settlers after doing their quest. #bandaid

    I'm hoping chapter 3 is coming soon and if it's a quest that has a couple interesting concepts like the first 2 would be great.
    I hope the chapter 3 will be a war simulation type of settlements building as you use the settlements to provide material to HQ and the amount of settlements under your control directly affect your overall milita.
    Like if they actually had this type of thing with the minutemen of the main story but it's much more interesting that you could play risk against a invading gunner blitz and possibly a bunch of betrayal from certain settlements which were underperforming by certain metrics. The story would write itself and also give a reason to recapture settlements that people had previously. I'd think it would be cool to have a bandit type system for caravans in which the gunners suck resources from caravan lines which you neglect and would cause the gunners to develop faster or more aggressive.
    Even if you defeat the gunners this mechanism could cause an after effect of semi repeatable content in the endgame as there going to be reminents of a defeated force which is going to continue to fight even in a war zone where their leadership has receives a forced lead injection and entered a state of permanent sleep.

    11:26 - Does this imply, if I set someone as an occupant now (after downloading & installing 2.3.0), their special stats will increase? Or is it by design the owner is the only one to level up?

      All occupants of a Training plot should've been getting stat levelups for a long time - that was fixed way back in like 1.1.5 or something. Unless it broke again?

    Thank you for SS2 and all the work you guys do on it. I do have a small issue in my current save(may fix it with the current patch), but I'm not able to select building plots, at least residential. When I go into the ASAM and Select Building Plan(for instance I want to change from a single-person home to multi-person), all I see is **Random**. Is this a known bug? #bandaid

      It sometimes happens after you change your load order. If you launch the City Manager Holotape, go to Tools > Advanced > Reset Building Plan Cache - after a few minutes, your building plan options should be restored.

    Someone help me out please?
    I'm super stuck with the HQ management....
    The quest has me create more loving quarters but can't find it. When trying to have some workers clean certain places, I keep getting "No options were sent to be selected from." What does that mean????
    And, despite having a supply route, I'm still having inadequate materials. Someone help please, I'm really enjoying the mod however I'm hitting a brick wall here.

    @kinggath The WSFW version number needs fixed on Nexus. Mod Manager keeps telling me the version I have is newer than the one on the Nexus.

    Hey kinggath check this out, i was watching one of your vids the other day and you had said unifying your vision for the project was difficult.. well there is good news.. not sure if you can use this for every aspect of the mod, but Edge has this new feature called "workspace" and it makes it easy to unify a project in just the way you were talking about you needed.. hope this helps man.. keep up the good work.

    My game has an issue that I've been unable to #bandaid - Jake's disappeared! I'm supposed to be getting some photos of his glorious self, and seriously cannot find him either through the map (doing 'show on map' for the quest) or using the console (I'm on PC). I can get an ID for him using 'help jake 4 npc_', but when I try and use the moveto command with that ID, I get an error... Is my game broken? I'm still running across unique settlers, so that's progressing, but without Jake, what am I to do???

    Just started SS2 love the parallel questline, so far from what I have seen, I would almost say it's better writing than the main questline. The idea of making the Gunners an actual fleshed out faction is a common sense approach to a neglected presence in the commonwealth. I mean in the original game they say the Gunners are organised and coordinated, SS2 breathed life into it. I can't wait to finish the quests and see where it goes.

    I am up to the part where Jake and the township have disappeared.
    The only bug thing that has happened is the underflesh texture pokes out of my characters face around her mouth and nose. Only using the basic mods to work ss2 and that's it. If I go back to older saves its not there... not sure what happened. But I'm happy to ignore it just to finish the questline.

    I'm not sure if it's intended, but I managed to get Sanctuary to have 30 people with a communications plot. While it was fun at first I noticed that most of the settlers would just stand around idle 😁 Now my mission is to slowly move the excess to HQ. I wonder if I can get a Vit-o-Matic report of all settlers so I can select a settler to go after and send them to HQ? This way I don't have to fire the Vit-o-Matic at every person 😃
    Otherwise, I'm excited to hear the RoTC plans are getting some love 💕 I love using them. I seem to run into an issue where the build limit required for level 3 causes my rig to CTD if I go in the area. First it was Hangman's Alley. In the new playthrough it's Greygarden 😁 Even with Workshop Framework's settlement reset tool I'm not able to make the area safe.

    If your taking any ideas for the next chapter or Chapter 4 I thought maybe having the mechanist help take down the Gunners with her robot team would be awesome! And that would give us more quests with the mechanist or someone of the same caliber plus seeing Jake's reaction to seeing The Mechanist would be cool too. Maybe we could make upgrades to M.A.L.A?

    I... am a #bandaid. But I hope this is the last quick fix update before #Christmas so that we can have a big #present in a few weeks. I know that #SS2 is one of the big reasons that so many of us are still playing Fallout 4, among all the other cool mods out there, and they all cumulate into one heck of an experience, sweetening an already sweet game. For #Chapter3, I'm hoping to be blown away by all the content that got pushed off from Ch 2, as I was expecting to have to rescue a certain wise cracking mid-westerner with an armed force, and to defend all my settlements with even more armed force. I want a big James Bond movie finish if this is indeed it for Ch 3.

    On the Xbox BETHESDA added a new making patch it with this mod no longer works curious if the going to be repaired, I really enjoyed best modon Sim Settlements 2: Chapter 2 is it going to be patched

    You know im like the only guy that's gonna ask you those questions because I don't see anyone else asking them, so yes, how does sim Settlements plays with the Nuka World raiders or Far Harbor settlements and can i download both Conquest and Sim Settlements and will you continue the Conquest mod like how Sim Settlements continues?

    #bandaid. I am going through my umpteenth playthrough because so far I have NEVER been able to finish Chapter 2 before the crashes are so frequent, they make the game unplayable. Fingers crossed I can get through this one!

    Anyway you could make it so that any settlers can become a city leader? I'm trying out SS1 and it's annoying to only be able to use Preston rn when I have like 10 settlements

      Already can. Just go into Build Mode and 'assign' anyone you like to the Desk like you would any other object.

    Is sim settlements still in Xbox? I can't find it, I downloaded sim settlements lite and I can't get it to activate, nothing in the meusuem either. I'd rather play with sim 1 then sim 2

      Usually you need to click the Favorite button on this page in order for it to show up on your Xbox: mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4012168
      Xbox will only return 100 results and there are several hundred mods with sim settlements in their search terms, but once you have it favorited, it will be in a Favorites section on your Mods screen.

      It should help, since the expected population count is one of the values City Plans look at for whether they are eligible to "level up".

    I actually started a game on easy, because despite the 1200 hours of fallout 4, Ive never set foot in Nuka World, or Far Harbor.

      Nuka World is pretty forgettable unless you really like the idea of "What if Disneyland was built by Coca Cola" and/or really want some cringeworthy "be the bad guy now" attempts at writing, but Far Harbor has some of the best atmosphere I've ever felt in an FPS of this type. Stomping around in the Fog never gets old for me.

      Dude far harbor is awesome 100% worth playing, nuka world is meh though.

      @@yawgmothhiryuu you know you can complete Nuka world with the Raiders just to see how the story goes on till you speak to Shanks to enslave your Settlements right?Then just say no and kill them all, talk to the trader's, open up the park and just explore the place and complete all the side missions that remains in the dlc.

    Any way you can fix the stealing from the player issue?
    If the settlement isn't going to give resources for free to the player, they shouldn't be taking from them by default

      That's actually a setting you can turn off. It's called "Pay Costs From Workbench" and is under the Costs section of the MCM or holotape menu.

      I'm fine with there being a maintenance, however I disagree with it being a PLAYER paid. When its a "Settlement requirement"
      If they aiming for "self sufficient" taking from others shouldn't be a thing.
      It would be like pickpocketing the Mayor of a city for funds. It just doesn't make sense.
      I just don't see why I should be punished for others progress.
      I understand its an "option" that I can change, I just can't follow the Logic behind it being in the first place.
      And with that having it be set as default ON.
      Also your list of options is starting to get out of hand, and the descriptions are lacking.
      I would ask that maybe get someone to review them and put them in a ordered way or maybe make a PDF explaining to what the options do?

      ​@@Patrickf5087 When just starting out, its very convenient to have construction pull from the workbench, as the first handful of buildings do come from the player's pocket until industrial production is built up a bit. During initial testing of SS2, most people found it very obnoxious that they had to manually donate things early on when they knew the resources were already in their workbench, which is how we came about this setting in the first place.
      Maintenance costs coming out of the workbench I agree should be off by default, the two (construction costs and maintenance costs) are currently sharing that setting though, I'll add to my list to separate them in a future update.

      I'm asking for logic not hacks. I see no logical reason as to why the play must be the one to PAY for a settlement that is "self sufficient"
      I mean unless your definition of "self sufficient" is taking welfare from someone else, then we don't have anything to talk about

    #BandAid I still, at 3500 hours+, play in easy mode. Just easier on my part so I can have fun with the game and not die all the time.
