Totally forgot about this, but if you want some irl lore of the mothman my editor @repulsiveartichoke has done a video on him which I highly recommend you check out. Were We Warned About Everything? - The History Of The Mothman. th-cam.com/video/x3LQ3Asy9ao/w-d-xo.html
The problem with Dunwich is that it's very close to Tenpenny Tower, where you can attain a Ghoul Mask, making a run through Dunwich a piece of cake, thus conserving ammo completely.
The first time I found this building in Fallout 3 I had just got done playing Oblivion for 4 hours lol, found the obelisk and had to make sure that I didn’t still have the oblivion disc in.
A small thing about the statues: Nate points out how these are everywhere even in orevious titles and that bethesda may have just reharshed the models, but he is wrong, the statues used for the "Dunwich mistery" are different, not only all of them have weird headpieces that any other human-resembling statue lacks, but the eyes are cut in the middle, these statues may be or may be influenced by the ones madeby the ancient civilization found by the guy in Fo4
Dammit, I have had a script like this in the works for a while now 😂😂😂 can’t do it now, will look like I’ve copied this! Maybe I can rewrite it a bit. Won’t be out for months anyway. In any case, this was great fun to watch. Fantastic video, loved it.
Don’t worry about it mate, you can still publish it just fine. There’s hundreds of videos like this out there. There’s actually one that’s like….4 hours? It’s by someone, either some guy named Oxford or something, and another by someone named EpicNate I believe?
Excellent video. 1 extremely smal nitpick is that i wish you said the names of the notes you featured. In 76 you can put notes in a vendor and its be cool to have all the eldritch notes as part of a mothman camp
When I first encountered this building it was my second play through of Fallout 3 I nearly ran out of ammo for every weapon I was carrying because I was not expecting supernatural horror mutant creatures&creations or raiders yes then about a month or two later I was going through my books and seen the HP Lovecraft book called the Dunwich Horror it took me only a second to connect the title of the book to the building
Obadia not wheelchair bound if u hit him with the mezzmatron he gets up. Or if you hit him he attacks ya. he also can be found wandering around the house. When the player not there.
This is Bethesda we're talking about. It's far more likely that he is intended to be wheelchair bound and him being able to walk around is just typical Bethesda shenanigans
@@EpsilonCobra Well no... I don't have hardware capable of running the game. But even then, as far as I know, that mass of roots and vines at the bottom of the lucky hole is something else entirely.

Not only different. The holotape logs, the visions, the altar? Let alone Point Lookout's link back to the Dunwitch Building.
"Alhazzared! Gyatt! GYATT!"
Ghouls love the Gyatt
@Krydonis the recent memes just have gotten to me 😅

Playing this when I was ten years old had a huge impact; love your analysis!
With the table top game expansion (?) Focusing on the supernatural aspect makes me hope they work more with it
Dunwich is love. Dunwich is life.
i did explore this one...unintentionlly
"they say radiation, i say aliens"
Bask in Atom's Glow, and you will understand.
Pickmans model is my favorite Lovecraft story
I loved getting to revisit it for this

76's clown lore needs more coverage!
Right?! I definitely will have him in the supernatural video

I know what I’m doing next time I’m on fallout 3

You're probably not wrong, it is Bethesda
I think an SCP beneath the building
200 years to an eons old entity isnt even considered a powernap XD
the supernatural parts of fallout are really interesting a video would be cool
What if you go there with the ghoul mask?
Peice of cake lol
I'm suprised we haven't seen any Dunwich stuff in 76 yet... I wonder if we'll get a Point Lookout expedition one of these days in 76
Same I’d love to get more to it
There are literary tons of dunwich related stuff. Have you seen the interloper?

So whale's became Grablars?
Sauce for mothman
I like to think he’s a ketchup guy personally
