I used to work at a cinema. Clean up after this movie was always a joy. Got to hear this so many times. Was also fun to see the audience stay in their seat....some singing along, some just silently nodding their heads...good times :)
The best thing about this scene is that it's clear that Dewey/the rock band experience softened all their parents into allowing their children to continue to play. Every time I see Zach ripping his solo on his nice Gibson I can't help but think that his stuck-up father finally relented and allowed his son to have a little fun and the kids all became happier people.

I remember watching School of Rock at a public showing with one of my Aunt's Church. I think it was some community engagement thing. It was a long time ago I can't really remember, I was approx 9. I immediately loved this movie, I had already loved rock. But this forever made me love rock. Ever since then, I have also Loved Jack Black. He seems like such a down to Earth, chill guy. He was made for this role though. I am now even a big fan of Tenacious D. Obviously as a kid I didn't really know of them. But I absolutely can quote lines from Pick Of Destiny. I would love to meet Jack, It seems like with him you get what you see. Hell I'd love to go to a show of the D, It would just be a fun time. Jables seems fun. Kage seems chill too. Surprised he wasn't included in the movie somewhere. But also not surprised.
