To this day I can't choose between Forest Gump and O' Brother Where Art Thou as my favorite movie. It's just such a great movie. Real integrity, amazing actors, amazing comedy and drama, and they go off on these random tangents, but tie it perfectly back into the story. Scarily astute political observation. One politician refuses to change his outrageous and clearly unpopular political views, even in the face of his own ruin. The other politician has no political views, he just capitalizes on cultural sensations and mob mentality. This movie got layers on top of layers, y'all.
@@willnack5315 Yep. Even though the KKK was at its strongest in this movie's setting (Depression- era South), they still operated in as much secrecy as possible and their members didn't openly admit to being a part of it. Even in that environment, a political candidate openly admitting to being a member of it would be ruined.

Intolerable Cruelty is a great movie with George Clooney in it, it’s light hearted and funny. Also Burn After Reading is another movie where he has a more comedic role, I think he should do more roles like that. Brad Pitt also, He was hilarious in Burn after reading.

"Is you is or is you ain't my Constituency?" The timeless question of all politicians! Soggy Bottom Boys the best and most descriptive name for a bluegrass band!
Lol not even constituency it was "constincency"😅
To this day I can't choose between Forest Gump and O' Brother Where Art Thou as my favorite movie. It's just such a great movie. Real integrity, amazing actors, amazing comedy and drama, and they go off on these random tangents, but tie it perfectly back into the story. The cow on a cotton mill was probably the funniest version of that because it just seemed like nonsense in the beginning, but at the end it was just so profound and you knew it was coming, but it STILL surprised you. Absolutely amazing
Green mile?
Why choose?
Forrest Gump is fucking terrible
Is Forrest Gump bonafide? Then you have your answer.
Oh Brother…
Clooney’s best role ever!!! 😂😂😂
Scarily astute political observation. One politician refuses to change his outrageous and clearly unpopular political views, even in the face of his own ruin. The other politician has no political views, he just capitalizes on cultural sensations and mob mentality. This movie got layers on top of layers, y'all.
Perfectly sums up the average politician right around the world.
It also shows that anyone who sides with an organization like the KKK will always lose, ALWAYS!
A man of the people
@@willnack5315 Yep.
Even though the KKK was at its strongest in this movie's setting (Depression- era South), they still operated in as much secrecy as possible and their members didn't openly admit to being a part of it. Even in that environment, a political candidate openly admitting to being a member of it would be ruined.
Wow Corey, Way to bring the room down🤨😅
After 22 years who still loves this film and keeps coming back looking up clips
October 2024 😊
This film is absolutely fabulous! George Clooney looked like he had a ball making it! 😂
This movie was my introduction to bluegrass. Loved it ever since.
Same. 💯
im black and love the music and the movie.. My favorite. Ive watched it over 25 times.

R.I.P. Charles Durning, such a great character actor.
I can only imagine how much fun it must have been there during the filming of this. what a riot. 😆😄🤣😀
This is Coen Bros best movie ever, an all time classic.
I couldn't say that it is their Best Ever - but it sure is a good one! 😉😊
My wife and I have turned "Do not seek the tray-sure! It's a bushwhack!" into a favorite family phrase. Fantastic movie.
For my family it's discussion of who has a hateful grudge against the Soggy Bottom Boys.
we also have adopted "do not..seek..the treasure!!" and "we're in a tight spot!", and "we was fixin to fornicate" lol
Ours is "I'm fixing to R U N N O F T"
Yeah, don't watch Princess Bride, there are about a hundred in there.
"I do not think that word means what you think it means"
"Hello, my name is Inego Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die"
"That's not very sporting"
etc
Of course you have to see the movie to appreciate it. If you haven't I VERY much recommend it. Our family is always referencing lines from that movie and my mother in law said she'd never seen it so we brought it over. She loved it. I said we could watch it again sometime and she said, "how 'bout now". :-)
And yes, the line you referenced there is a beauty, especially if you can even remotely manage the impersonation. I haven't seen the movie in years, and I could still picture him delivering that line as if I'd seen it yesterday.
@@sarahbethkeith375 I thought of another that we have included: "He's bonified," but we've made it personal, "I'm bonified."
Ain't it great how music can bring everyone together
"folks don't mind they's integrated"
good music unites everyone :)
I love that dance George Clooney did 😅
This movie will forever be a classic to me.
MY GODDDD! this is great
I love final chords. After 40 years in various ensembles, choirs and bands I have experienced a lot of them. But this final chord definitely belongs in the "goosebumps" category. Great is too weak to describe. Heavenly?. You are amazing
Big respects to the band who doesnt miss a beat and just keeps going
"In the jailhouse now, fellers. Neighborhood of B."
Edit
This song is very much needed tonight...I feel so lost...just hearing this blessed me with a smile...please pray for me my over whelming sadness is hard
I hope you are doing okay.❤
One of the best movies of all time. It is outrageous that it was panned for an Oscar at the time
Hello 👋 Leslie. How are you doing? Hope you’re fine. I am Mark Clifford and I'm from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl.
What do Oscar's reflect ? Not the average person
@@markclifford1857 Not a "girl" and definitely not "country". 🇨🇦
@@davidwarburton1213 That you need to ask....
I'm not a fan of country style music, but I definitely think this song is fantastic
I've learned not to limit yourself to genres. Follow artists instead
This ain’t country, it’s Bluegrass! Give it a shot!
Country runs the gambit from pop to gospel so it can be very different in genre.
@@xarexare2 True...the line has blurred for quite some time now. And it's all good music,
Try the rest of the soundtrack, it is all gold.
My favorite George Clooney movie. I can't believe he did a movie so fun. I didn't think he had it in him. He's such a serious actor.
😂😂😂He was in Rosanne and Return of the Killer Tomatoes 🍅, he’s always had comic timing.
Yea. Batman and Robin was oscar worthy.
Did you not see Burning after Reading?
Intolerable Cruelty is a great movie with George Clooney in it, it’s light hearted and funny. Also Burn After Reading is another movie where he has a more comedic role, I think he should do more roles like that. Brad Pitt also, He was hilarious in Burn after reading.
This was the first George Clooney movie i ever saw so seeing George all serious in other movies looks off to me lol
I watched this movie last night for the first time and I loved it so much.
The look the boys do before they start singing definitely says something: "Uh...what are all these people so excited about?!" LOL! They had no idea their song had become a hit and had no idea they had become famous!
That's how it happens u don't its going to be a hit till ppl relate to it or just like the music
lol I love the look Clooney gives
Thanks, Lieutenant Obvious. Soon-to-be-promoted.
Nah you got it wrong, George Clooney looks back at them like they are geniuses for bringing up the song without those two I bet he wouldn't have sang it since he wanted to be undercover
I have watched this movie so many times, the cast is amazing.
This movie transcends all races, and cultural differences.
Kudos to the Coen Brothers 👏
Title of movie

A top notch movie with the best of music & acting. We have since lost a good number of these folks since then but they and these beautiful gems will remain beloved & remembered be for ever.
Hello 👋 Renee. How are you doing? Hope you’re fine. I am Mark Clifford and I'm from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl.
I love this song love the video as well nice memories. How are you Renee?
Without a doubt, the most funny, uplifting, exhilarating and sweet scenes of human interaction in the movies. God love the Coen Brothers and this outstanding cast, script, producers and anyone who loves this movie.
His grandmother Rosemary Clooney is definitely one of the best singers of the 20th Century. George made a statement "Unfortunately he didn't inherit not one note from her" 😂. Love the music in this movie. George did a great job lip singing. 💕
...How did I never realize they were related? Every time I turn around, I learn more and more about the nepotism in Hollywood.
@@wordforger True 😂. Especially since she,s definitely as famous as grandson George. If mention that Blue,s Sound of her's. Well I,m 61 and Rosemary was huge on the music scene when she was in White Christmas with Bing Crosby,Danny Kaye, and Vera Allen . What big Movie stars in that movie. By the way it was the only movie Rosemary was in. She refused to act anymore. She said I,m a singer it,s where my heart is. Which is a shame because she was wonderful and held her own in that movie.
@@wordforger I dunno if it's necessarily nepotism. Performers tend to breed performers, it's in the blood.

Most Beautiful Scene after when the water came to save them!!!!
for the younger or just not knowledgable here the log they carried in was a railroad track beam - this is where the term RUN YOU OUT ON A RAIL comes from
We need this across the United States. We would wipe out Half of America.
I had heard the term, but this was the first time I had ever seen someone "run out on a rail". Well done!
Wooden fence rail usually, not railroad track beam
@Wasn't Me Every single instance of this I could find says "What does the saying, “Run him out of town on a rail” mean?
In colonial times, people who were thought too loyal to Britain, or too outspoken against independence, or crown tax collectors, were sometimes tarred, feathered, and tied to a wooden fence rail and carried out of town."
@Wasn't Me Lol. You're one to talk.
One of the best movies ever !!! Superb casting, timeless music, and a fine tribute to a piece of vanished Americana . Thanks to the Coen brothers for an excellent production ! A special mention for the actor George Clooney who made the lead role unforgettable !!!
HERE is The Savior
YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified for our sins, NOT jesus, and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Semitic Scroll:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moses wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"

HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH” sir, that’s what HalleluYAH means and from the Isa Scroll (The Original Isaiah)
Isaiah 42:8
"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
Isaiah 43:11
I, I am YAH, and there is no other Savior but Me.
Isaiah 45:5
I am YaH, and there is none else.
Lots of history and a southern way of life
I remember when my dad first shown me this movie. I did not expect a story comparable to the Odyssey.
I see what you did there.
Ok I guess comparable is sort of a synonym for the same as..
Good musical sense....Americana
I was in high school.. when bro started yodeling.. I lmao but it was so awesome
That’s what the story of the movie was based on, Homer’s Odyssey
Was watching this with my dad. When Charles Durning got up on stage I thought dad was gonna keel over from laughing. Man that was a long time ago.
Hahaha..Charles Durning! Gotta love him; such a great actor. I love the part in the restaurant - "Moral fiber?!? I invented Moral Fiber!"
They were like, "You killed the vibe bro. You've gotta go." All kidding aside, I love this movie and it's soundtrack.
Man, Charles Durning coming up on stage dancing is one of the funniest moments of the movie. Being a Charles fan, i actually thought he was hilarious in the whole movie with his short temper and quick southern insults.
Me too! I thought he was fantastic.
He stole the movie for me.
He was always great in anything. I loved him in The Muppet Movie back in the day.
Charles Durning a été un vétéran de la 2nde guerre mondiale ayant obtenu entre autre la Purple Heart.
Pappie O'Daniel is amazing

I heard this song at Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm and I gotta say it was truly a magical moment.
The infamous JEFFERY CLARĶ perfectly plays the part of the woodbe governor candidate, railed out, to be tared and feathered. History repeating itself.
Classic production. Countless views. Timeless
I got banned from twitter for saying certain politicians should be tarred and feathered and rode out of town on a rail.
