I always imagined the 2nd film like this. Jack is picking up pictures of the school of rock and remembering all the battle of the bands they won. He talks to Ned about them and they both miss everyone. It all came to an end because No Vacancy finally won. After their loss, Freddy blamed Zack for his 'lack of style in guitar'. Lawrence blamed Katie for being 'out of sync'. All the singers blamed each other for not getting to the right tone and they all break up. Years later they finally find each other and come back (for the band, because they are still good despite all the Years or to settle differences that needed settling a long time ago) They work on it together and realise something. Despite all the Years. They still rock and they can still KICK SOME ASS. No Vacancy hears that School of Rock are coming back together so when the band celebrates their reunion in a bar. No Vacany find their instruments and destroys them. All hope is lost and Jack feels sad and walks in the streets late at night thinking the School of Rock will never get back together. Ned runs up to him. Jack replies "Dude it's over, u were right. We can blame it all on bad luck, but in the end maybe we weren't just that good" Ned takes him somewhere. A mansion. Jack is really confused and coming down the stairs is Sarah Silverman. She says she wants to fund the band and their instruments. Jack thanks her and everyone rocks on again. They get to battle of the bands. No Vacancy thought they won but they get shocked because School of Rock return after years. They put on a kick ass show and win once again. They go to their favourite bar and once again celebrate with a picture being taken with the caption; You can't stop the School of Rock Jack picks up this picture and smiles with Ned. Jack visits the garage they were all practicing in alone and gives one last "Long way to the top" The end.

You can tell Jack loves playing with them. He has definitely invited over the drummer, guitarist, and bassist for private sessions. The chemistry is crazy!
+ChadWithaJ It's also cool see that they still got it (for the most part). Rather solid performance and the song is rather good. That movie is such a good tribute for rock. I've since seeing he movie back then dubbed Jack Black as the ambassador/herald of rock and roll.

The keyboardist is back in a dark corner. Not easy to get a good shot of him unless Jack Black gets out of the way. Even when he is seen (in another video from this same performance), it's so dark he can't be seen well. You may also have missed the fact that Miranda Cosgrove was in there -- she's in such deep shadows that you can barely see her. She's behind "Zack", on the left side. Only so much you can do in a club setting using only the club's lighting. Been there.
I seriously wish they would make a sequel, they'd all be in college or maybe just graduated at different places, they aren't interested at first, or maybe have lost their interest in music or something... then reunite because of something, then they'd go on a show and rock HARDER! Oh and actually win this time. That would be a kickass movie.

Dewey wakes up one day, looks at a photo of Ned and Patty on their wedding day, and then looks at himself in the mirror and realizing what a "loser" he still is....He puts on an old recording of one of the bands songs and has a revelation.... "I gotta get the band back together!" He calls up Ned and tells him his new revelation and gets shot down and told it's a ridiculous idea and that it will never work... but Dewey proves them wrong and contacts the rest of the band... all of the band has moved on with their lives (aside from Summer who is a very successful manager for No Vacancy who has reached ultimate stardom) and are hesitant at first to join but eventually get talked into one by one.... eventually putting on the greatest rock show of all time, dethroning No Vacancy..... BOOM! MINDBLOW!!!

I owe so much to this cast and this movie. It taught me to follow my dreams and not be held up by the pressure that exists within our public school system and societal standards of the ideal person. It's thanks to this film and this amazing group of musicians and actors that I made the choice to pursue music and do what I love as a career and I could not be happier. I don't know if Jack or any of the other actors or writers of the film are going to see this but if any of them are reading this I want to say thank you. This was a very influential film in my life and I hate to think where I'd be if it weren't for them putting their art and talents into the world

I think they are laughing because he starts "finger points' a bit late with the drums, they finally fall in next part together though :) So good to see that !
It feels weird simply because I grew up with these kids and idolized them as a kid and wanted to be JUST like them. They all grew up to have what seems to be... pretty normal lives (aside from Miranda Cosgrove) and... you know I think if it were anybody else I would feel disappointed that they didn't reach ultimate stardom and thrive in the limelight, but I actually like it this way, it gives me that perspective (which I probably should have gathered long ago) that they were normal kids like me, and I may not have gotten to star in a movie or grew up to be a musician... but that doesn't mean I'm a failure of a person..... I repeat what I said though I'm waiting for a sequel.
This is the only movie that made a reunion where the cast played a role spot on and stunningly inspired the kids who grew up and watched this to falll in love with music at the same time motivated others to pursue it.......... how reminiscing............... yet all am asking is a Goddamm sequel!!!!!
+Sam Brown I have a few friends that hangout with him they all say he is a genuinely nice guy. One of them just chilled on a couch talking about movies for an hour.
+CodyMcCormick I have heard that he and Kyle are some of the funniest and most down to earth people ever. I think that's why Jack has lasted as long as he has. It's not just that he's funny. People like working with him.
Aww, Jack Black gave him both solos. This is so sweet. I can't believe the 10-year reunion was 7 years ago now!? The 20 year anniversary will be coming up in 3 years??
This is why I love Jack Black/Tenacious D. Because during the Tenacious D concert, even sound engineer gets a credit and even light engineer has it's own solo. :) And they have song about Roadies. I love that they are not forgoting about people that care about them. You know, in this field your work is often seen only when you do something wrong. But nobody gives you no attention when everything is okay (generally speaking). And even techs are people too. :)
You can tell everyone was having SO MUCH fun by the way they smile, like im so touched by that, imagine everyone still be able to gather after 10 years and do some really cool show together, like nothing has ever changed at all, they are connected to each other and their 10-year-relationship is truly GOAL

This made me smile. Such good memories. :)
Could you please change that profile picture? It's a massive fuckin f bomb spoiler to the face.
William Kelley Not really lol. That series is super predictable
Ze Germanz Still a spoiler to people that are going to watch it.
Fucking dorks ^^^
MrAricks2485 Uh, what?
RIP Kevin Clark. The school of rock drummer sadly passed away this morning 🥺
The bass player and the blonde singer are fit!!
Andrew Wells sorry, are you warm? 😂
Indeed, you are correct. Especially the formerly toothy blond singer who is now all grown up. WHEW!
There thicccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc
holy shit i loved School of rock seeing this is mind blowing
You can say that again
holy shit i loved School of rock seeing this is mind blowing
This is the only movie that made a reunion where the cast played a role spot on and stunningly inspired the kids who grew up and watched this to falll in love with music at the same time motivated others to pursue it.......... how reminiscing...............
yet all am asking is a Goddamm sequel!!!!!
Why can't I like this a million more times?
185 people got no reason and got no rhyme. LOL
They can soon do a twenty year reunion. I feel so old
Im waiting
Except for the drummer. He got runned over while riding his bicycle.
I don’t think they will do a 20 year reunion after the passing of Kevin Clark the drummer
Rest in peace Kevin, thanks for being a huge part of my childhood. So heartbreaking, he was my little childhood crush as well 🥺💔
2:03 look at the drummer

Attention Class, Today's Assignment is....

"Would you tell Picasso to sell one of his guitars?"
Hendrix played this guitar.
Rest in peace Freddy jones/Kevin Clark, you inspired me to drum when I was a child
I wonder if Jack Black is as cool as I imagine him to be from seeing his hilarious movies songs all that cool stuff
He had to be.
+CodyMcCormick Bs
I know this comment is 2 years old but I just wanted to say that I've heard he's a fantastic man in person. I've seen his band live and he was great
How am I just now finding out this video exists?
Yeah I was now years old when I found out the reunion was a thing
Bshhs
Jd
ME TOO
Aww, Jack Black gave him both solos.
10 year re-union for this iconic 10 year re-union? 😱
You can tell everyone was having SO MUCH fun by the way they smile, like im so touched by that, imagine everyone still be able to gather after 10 years and do some really cool show together, like nothing has ever changed at all, they are connected to each other and their 10-year-relationship is truly GOAL
I thought it ten years ago and I still think that the bass player is hot
she is beautiful
We all have the same thoughts
She was like, 10 O.o
this is like a fine wine it got better with age
How did I just see this for the first time!!!
man, Howard Wolowitz can play!
You got it, mate! I thought what the heck is Howard Wolowitz doing in this reunion :-D
It a good to see them all grown up. That drummer is Killing it. Amazing.
