    Thank you this was great. First time nothing, so I settled down properly to focus and did it very slowly around 8 times. To anyone whose wondering if they are “releasing” it looks different for everyone. E.g. yawning is how I release stuck energy and emotions in my body. For some it’s tears, for some just feels more relaxed, or suddenly a weight feels lifted. However small that is definitely good progress!

      Thank you for this. I did it with no shaking. No nothing. I know I have stored emotions in my hips without doubt, but no response. This helps me pay attention to other ways my body may release. 💜

      What do you mean "trauma" of the hips or other body parts?

    • @Cinnamonster9
      @Cinnamonster9 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @@letsgobrandon4504they mean they want to see more exercises on how to release trauma from the body, in the different parts we store trauma. The hips are a common place, just like the back/shoulders. But there are pressure points and all sorts of stuff like that all over the body. They have massage that focuses on pressure points and trauma release but there is also a lot that we can do ourselves to release trauma thru movement. Bottom line, if we don't really FEEL our emotions as they happen, our body will store the emotions/trauma.

    This is a a form of trauma release exercise. I do not do it for more than 5 to 10 minutes, as advised by my therapist, who was specifically trained for this therapy. I did it under her observation the first time, and she stopped me for breaks after a few minutes interval. She said its meant to provide some relief by releasing trauma/stuck energy, but not meant to gush open a huge can of worms
    She advised against that, as i dont have a mental health professional if that happens. Light release is beneficial. So go easy, and listen to your body.

    When i do this, my legs shake like crazy and my head shakes like crazy too. And it makes sense because ive lots of stress stored in my head and face area because I've facial twitches, teeth grinding etc due to anxiety. Its helping me release energy from my head and face area
    Can i start with one round and increase gradually?

    I figured this was weakness in my adductors. Nope. Turns out I'm just a traumatized mess. 😊😅😂😢😭😭😭 EDIT one month later: TW severe heartbreak, breakup
    Two days ago I literally felt the trauma settling in my hips. I had had my heart ripped out by the love of my life who ended things forever the night before, and in my sobbing I not only came to the point of (medical) shock, but I tensed up so hard from the grief and traumatic pain that as I curled up in the fetal position, my legs were shaking from what amounts to rigor mortis in my hips. I can't even relax any of my muscles now because I'm still so painful, so getting decent sleep has been a nonstarter. Guys pray for me please. I am not okay.

    I did it, but my legs didn't shake all unless I made them shake..is it suppose to happen naturally?

    • @flowwithdee
      @flowwithdee  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It does happen naturally without force but that’s absolutely fine if it didn’t for you! Each of us are unique in our bodily anatomy so we will feel different things ☺️ But perhaps try going as slow as you can while pressing the soles of your feet together a bit more and see how that feels for you 🥰
      Sometimes the release is more emotional than the physical shake, either way well done for giving it a go! you’re doing great friend ❤️

    Hi, Hope you respond,can you tell me if one wants to do normal brisk walk+ pilates workout to be active and reduce weight on thigh stomach,
    With such somatic excersis can I do that? Or should avoid working out? It's been an year I didn't do any workout and I just started with brisk walk +pilates some 12 days ago and I see my thighs are big😢
    What am I doing wrong
    Although I must admit I did some somatic movements this past year without any diet or anything and I lost weight
    Ap should I stop doing the workouts now again?

    • @flowwithdee
      @flowwithdee  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Absolutely! It’s normal for emotions to surface especially if they’ve been repressed for a long time, they will come up as you feel/acknowledge and release them. You’re doing great friend ❤️

  • @baej107

    i think in order to get the full effect with the hip shake, you have to tuck your pelvis while pressure you feet together. to do this, thrust up slightly while keeping your abs tight. it should remove the space between your lower back and the floor, so u can’t slide ur hand under anymore
