Thank you this was great. First time nothing, so I settled down properly to focus and did it very slowly around 8 times. To anyone whose wondering if they are “releasing” it looks different for everyone. E.g. yawning is how I release stuck energy and emotions in my body. For some it’s tears, for some just feels more relaxed, or suddenly a weight feels lifted. However small that is definitely good progress!
Thank you for this. I did it with no shaking. No nothing. I know I have stored emotions in my hips without doubt, but no response. This helps me pay attention to other ways my body may release. 💜
@@letsgobrandon4504they mean they want to see more exercises on how to release trauma from the body, in the different parts we store trauma. The hips are a common place, just like the back/shoulders. But there are pressure points and all sorts of stuff like that all over the body. They have massage that focuses on pressure points and trauma release but there is also a lot that we can do ourselves to release trauma thru movement. Bottom line, if we don't really FEEL our emotions as they happen, our body will store the emotions/trauma.
This is a a form of trauma release exercise. I do not do it for more than 5 to 10 minutes, as advised by my therapist, who was specifically trained for this therapy. I did it under her observation the first time, and she stopped me for breaks after a few minutes interval. She said its meant to provide some relief by releasing trauma/stuck energy, but not meant to gush open a huge can of worms She advised against that, as i dont have a mental health professional if that happens. Light release is beneficial. So go easy, and listen to your body.
I admit I was skeptical but this did actually help me release some trauma from my hips. I’ve decided to do this every morning until I’m fully healed ☮️💙🌼

This is insane, literally tried it for the first time this morning for about 20 minutes and I feel so much better in my lower back, and I didn’t shake or cry but I felt a little happier then before. I started noticing a lot of lower back incomodity and just general back problems as well as with my neck and this just made me feel so much better, this is crazy. Thank you for the content!

Loved this!! I have been trying to open my hips for a couple of years now & I think this is the answer!! My legs did shake a lot & then the more & more I did it over a course of three minutes I felt less shaking & my hips feel a lot better! Going to keep doing this often.💓
I did it several times and at one point I stopped halfway to let my legs continue with shaking. After a while my whole body was shaking. It was not scary and felt really relaxing. I feel calm now afterwards. Thank you
Wanted to start my comment off by saying thank you!!!! I will be adding this to my daily stretches. I weight lift and experience a lot of that trauma left over in my hips. This stretch helped me tremendously. I felt a feeling of pure relaxation after! It feels like my body thanked me.

Thanks for this. Once I start shaking I like to put my feet flat with bent knees a little wider than hip distance apart and then bring my knees slowly to touch. More variety in the shakes. 😊

As you keep working are your legs supposed to get stronger and not shake a lot? Does that release trauma built up? I'm confused on how this works. And if it does release trauma how long does it last to feel in the present?
OH. MY GOODNESS. That was trippy!! I didn't feel any emotion (probably because I'm emotionally constipated lol) BUT... I did this about 5 times (slowly bringing my knees together). First time, legs were a little shaky. After that, it was like sitting on a washing machine on spin cycle 😂 Crazy! Now let's see if I can walk lol.

Lean into the feelings. Try "tea with my shadow" exercises to get the ball rolling, and then see if somatic exercises can do the rest. I learned that your body will not release what your soul is still burdened with.

I once did this as group excercise. The instructor told us to breath out loud through the mouth (with sound like aaa) and bring your legs slowly together and then apart. It should get harder with time and takes like 5-20min. Until you start crying, well at least I did. I hope this information helps😊
Tried this and my legs, inner thighs and hip flexor shook and jibbed almost uncontrollably! Was weird but felt kinda nice. Do you have to wait til shaking stops? Or just continue moving leg as they shake?
I will try this tonight but I suspect my left IT band won’t thank me for it. It seems all jacked up these past months. Continually on at the TFL muscle and a pulling ache at the top of my shin just below the left knee cap. 😬

Absolutely! We each process in different ways and rates, you might shake the first time with no emotional response. The next time you might shake less or not at all but have an emotional release 🥰 there’s no right or wrong way my sweetie ❤️
Hello. Did it today and my whole lower body till the abdomen was shaking like crazy. It went on for almost 30 mins. I got scared and stopped it as my body was not just shaking but also jumping a bit. Kindly guide if its normal or so. Thanks.

Turns out I'm just a traumatized mess. 😊😅😂😢😭😭😭 EDIT one month later: TW severe heartbreak, breakup Two days ago I literally felt the trauma settling in my hips. I had had my heart ripped out by the love of my life who ended things forever the night before, and in my sobbing I not only came to the point of (medical) shock, but I tensed up so hard from the grief and traumatic pain that as I curled up in the fetal position, my legs were shaking from what amounts to rigor mortis in my hips. I can't even relax any of my muscles now because I'm still so painful, so getting decent sleep has been a nonstarter. Guys pray for me please. I am not okay.

Hi, Hope you respond,can you tell me if one wants to do normal brisk walk+ pilates workout to be active and reduce weight on thigh stomach, With such somatic excersis can I do that? Or should avoid working out? It's been an year I didn't do any workout and I just started with brisk walk +pilates some 12 days ago and I see my thighs are big😢 What am I doing wrong Although I must admit I did some somatic movements this past year without any diet or anything and I lost weight Ap should I stop doing the workouts now again?
Absolutely! It’s normal for emotions to surface especially if they’ve been repressed for a long time, they will come up as you feel/acknowledge and release them. You’re doing great friend ❤️

i think in order to get the full effect with the hip shake, you have to tuck your pelvis while pressure you feet together. to do this, thrust up slightly while keeping your abs tight. it should remove the space between your lower back and the floor, so u can’t slide ur hand under anymore

This has helped me. I could feel letting go 😢. Did it as many times as possible and I started having goosebumps and feel heaviness in my chest

Maybe bring your feet more toward you and do it very slowly. It can start to shake after up to 10 times as well

Just tried it n found my legs shaking little with without even me realising tears rolled out of my eyes
It did not work when my feet were together only worked when moved my feet a part had a lot of shaking but a big headache after that don’t know why

No, the muscles should not shake when so relaxed, its because of trauma, body is afraid to be relaxed, so the psoas goes crazy

Yep, completely normal. It can go all the way to your head. You're always in control & can stop it any time by lowering & straightening out your legs

Im sure as many as you would like your body will tell you when its enough
TRE practitioners recommend 3-5 times a week no more than 15-20 mins per session (google TRE if you don’t know what it is :) )

I did it the first time they were shaking terribly, then on thr next day i feel no more . Is it because its released and i dont hold anymore there.

i think in order to get the full effect with the hip shake, you have to tuck your pelvis while pressure you feet together. to do this, thrust up slightly while keeping your abs tight. it should remove the space between your lower back and the floor, so u can’t slide ur hand under anymore
