"Measure twice, cut once" is a carpenter saying. Basically you can't uncut something so you want to make sure your measurement is accurate for your first cut.

The really interesting thing is that if you think about it, Amity is actually right in everything she says. Willow is cheating in her assignment, and she doesn't deserve the accolades she gets when Amity worked hard for her position. The entire reason we're inclined to root against her is just because of her attitude toward it all. And unlike some other cases I could name, that actually is deliberate on the writers' part and you can be assured the show is going to build on it.
Amity also is closed off at the start of the series because her parents are so controlling and she is forced to hang around people she doesn't like. But after Luz shows up and starts causing mayhem before being nice to her, she starts to let her walls down and be more of herself. She also still uses her alpha bitch tendencies to help her friends.

I mean if you don't wanna push someone to lashing out or cheating harassing them for years is kind of a bad strategy, yeah Amity earned her position but she was still a dick.

Luz is Dominican-American, and yes, she is every Fantasy/SF fan ever.

9:08 that's Tiny Nose, she's the show's creator, Dana Terrace's in-series and personal avatar whom she also voices 😉.
Eda is such a departure from the usual "unwilling mentor" type: usually those kinds of characters are very gruff and overall unhelpful, and in a lot of cases a part of there arc is learning to appreciate/relearn how to care about other people. Eda already does appreciate/care about what she has (see King) and she does genuinely does teach Luz some pretty important stuff (both directly and indirectly) fairly readily. Sure she might be a bit stand-offish, she's actually pretty jovial to be around, if a bit insensitive. Eda's probably my second favorite behind Luz.
Also the fact that Eda shows absolutely no hesitation walking in what she knows is a trap for someone she has only known for a little less than a day really shows how Eda is overall a decent person: she's got no obligation to Luz beyond saying that she would teach her magic, and she completely forgot about that the next day. Eda's got a lot of issues, but being a good person ain't one of them.

Lol I got sucked into this fandom watching 'Little Miss Perfect' (a song that the fandom practically stole and used for Lumity animatics), then I hopped onto the Lumity train while barely knowing this show and got to know it significantly better than I did beforehand and decided to stay in this fandiom.
I heard about this show so I watched it and I fell in love with it

nah this show is amazing and well written since the beginning, the romance is nice and a plus, but that’s not the only great thing from this show. Also Luz is a dominican-american protagonist on disney channel, this show isn’t only quality but it’s also making history.

So rewatching the willow episode iv come to the realization that although amitys kinda nasty in her attitude like the rest of the episode she was basically straight up gaslit. Like she was right. Willow was cheating and it just drove her up a wall.
