    Great walk through the car Ron. Seems like it has held up really well for 50k miles - obviously it’s been well cared for by the owner. I wasn’t shocked at the price for the service or the tires (having had 4 BMW’s in our household I’m pretty used to these prices). At some point, I may try oil and filter changes myself on my 2.0 Giulia. Not the easiest car to work on but not really hard either.

      I took it to the dealer in the end as i didnt want to fuss with removing the large cover under the engine to access the oil drain plug:
      You can get the oil filter that they used from MOPAR here: www.moparonlineparts.com/sku/4892339ab.html
      Oil Filter is p/n 4892339-AB Cost is only $8.53 in US Dollars
      Oil needs to be 0W30 API SN PLUS rated. For top-up I used: Selenia Digitek Pure Energy - engine oil (SAE 0W-30 fully synthetic). Ordered it on-line as no store near me has this. I understand that Mobil-1 might have something that meets this spec but I have not found it.

    Amazed the US dealers never mention to change the transmission oil at this mileage. Also, the brake fluid might survive until 100K. but if its humid out there, it lasts much less.

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think in most automobiles you would change the tran fluid at 50k but yeah you're right, odd. Maybe I missed it in his previous service.

    • @wozmac771
      @wozmac771 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice of you to reply. Appreciate your acknowledgement. The ZF transmissions have 40K intervals. I am cynical towards certain dealerships, they let the transmission fail due to lack of transmission fluid changes either to make more money from the customer or due to complete ignorance in proper servicing.
