I'm trying to locate an incubator that has the option to switch off for 30 minutes twice a day. Please tell me which model and manufacturer you use that has that component. Thanks

Ive had 3 red bourbon hens hatching babies for the last week 2 in the coop and 1 stayed outside under a bush but inside the pen still. The ones in the coop only hatched 8 babies between them and over a period of a week, they started with 30 eggs the rest rotted, the hen outside finally hatched hers today and so far 10 of 15 eggs have hatched and within a 10 hour window. I just found this really interesting, also I live in Canada and the average morning temp is 4c where I live and still dips down below 0 about 2 times a week right now. What is interesting is how much healthier and fast these chicks are at 1 day old when hatched by mom then an incubator. They have already claimed the entire pen and are sunning themselves on some hay and its only 7c out. Momma is inside taking a break

I'm a survivor sanctuary desperately need your help with theirs. They're losing one a day just about and they are asking for help from people with more knowledge like you. Please have a look at their channel or it might be on Jami's channel which is called From Suits to Boots. I hope you can help these guys out. Cheers 👍

    Makes good sense,
Especially if you live in Oklahoma or Texas.
Do you find it makes a more resilient poult and dose that transfer genetically?

I have 6 babies with my 30 chickens (chicks). I am wondering, do turkey hens need nexting boxes? If so, how big? Do turkey hens share nexting boxes with other hens?

18x18 on the ground is standard. Hay, straw or pine shavings for the bedding.
They are going to go where they want though lol.

I have two 24" x 24" and one 24 x 48" box in my henhouse. Some hens like to nest alone, others will nest together. They also like to come in and take turns laying and let one hen do all the sitting.

It’s because they have their mother to warm them when they get cold. If they don’t have a mother the outcome would be different… most likely
