We got a Tom and two hens in October at 7mo old and they just started laying a little over a week ago. The eggs look fertilized so we are excited to see if we can hatch them and see how many chicks we can get in a season!

Our lab loved to eat chicken poop and he lived to the ripe old age of 16. Not that we encouraged this. It was a constant battle with him not to eat the poop! Crazy doggie stuff. LOL

We have a bourbon hen that hatched out 14 but only 3 made it. she ran them around like crazy. We have no shortage of hens so we just let nature do its thing.
