Also you need to check Integras and crvs cause there's a lot of interchangeable parts. Like I have crv seats in my coupe(had to swap rails to fit) or the crv clusters fit np
That's a clean looking Honda, especially for the age. What parts would you recommend buying at the junk yard to have on spare? I'm trying to build myself a little inventory of parts that I'll probably need eventually to keep my Honda rolling on the cheap. I was thinking ignition coils, EGR valve, fuel injectors, and I don't know what else to add to the list. Open to suggestions.
Been a while since I saw the Civic and she is still freakin beautiful! Man I wish more people took better care of these cars. It pains me to see them all jacked up on the road.
Junkyard unicorns: The 90 Lx 4dr Civic(big brakes), 92-93 Integra(Brakes and large shaft Cable tranny) and 92-95 Ex or Si Civics(wiring, P28's and sensors). Get them disk brake upgrades, them cable trannys and those OBD1 ECU's I want to find a old 88-89(square cluster) CRX HF gauge cluster, 8k tach that has a 5k Redline. Perfect for a b16, Vtec starts at Redline and shift when the needle pegs out.
Glad to see I'm not the only person who has that exact thought about whom ever wrecked some of these cars. Also kudos for being one of the few people that exercise proper salvage yard edict 👍
Glad to see I'm not the only one that can watch junkyard vids all day. Keep it up man! Its awesome that you enjoy walking the yards and can make content off it
Hey Anthony here in new Hampshire and Maine our junk yards are exactly like yours but here we don't have to pay to get into them we only have to pay for what parts we pull yes it's still pull your own parts here in these two states let's find out what other states still have the pull your own part out of a junkyard still how many true junk yards are still left out there for us gearheads this is a gold mine like Anthony said I rebuilt my entire 2004 Honda Civic EX coupe I had to get an RSX subframe because I went from automatic to standard you know I put a lot of work into this vehicle it's like Anthony said you'll never know what you will find I paid $400 for my Honda Civic has less than 200,000 miles on it and I put about $4,000 into it I'm thinking about doing a case swap soon or a b series hope everyone has fun watching these videos Anthony keep posting kid
The fenced off area is often the "premium yard" which often has an additional entrance fee and has the more valuable cars. Lots of pros working in there so gets hectic...have seen a whole crew come in and strip a fresh car in a few hours
This video has given me many great ideas. 1. Replace the gauge cluster in a 99 CX hatchback for the EX cluster 2. Swap the stock engine for the slightly more powerful d16y8 3. Hopefully find better seats
Don’t forget CRV clusters, they mimic the 99+ SIs and then don’t forget front and rear sway bars and ck doors and back valance for aftermarket speakers
This shit is fun as hell. Going and finding parts for your car, refinishing, and installing... Then people ask how much it was... Legit 120$, pulled and painted. I love it.
Alright I have 3 things to say. Maybe 4. 1-You own a em1 Milano red. Top 3 favorite civics. 2- You own a FREAKING Evo 9 graph white my dream car. One day I’ll own one. 3- I love junkyard videos. You learn about new things and show people what to look for. Very educational. 4- I found a new channel I love with both my favorite platform. Mitsubishi and Honda. Keep them coming. Also this is my first time on your channel.
I used to own a 1998 Civic. It probably had 7 different Civics on it as I source most parts from the junkyard. That’s what I miss about owning an older car. Got a new-ish BMW after and it’s hard to find one at the local yards. According to the guy who runs the yard, our state owned auto insurance company doesn’t write BMWs off that much.
It's not always a good thing to completely close them... if the latch is broken we'll never get it open for the next guy... check the latches when you first walk up. FYI for the etiquette portion.
When this virus clears up, would you want to do some runs up to McCall with some people?? Wondering if we can get some people up there with some nice cars! Take some pics, do some pulls etc etc..
My dad and I would go to these places for parts on all the cars and trucks we had. Way cheaper than buying brand new and it is also a place where you can find cars with stories on them.
Omg I live in upstate NY and our pick and pull junkyard is gigantic! Honda's for days ,all the way up to 2016. I mean mint cars all makes! I just left the yard got a window motor for 2013 max $20 and some headrest for my 05 Lexus ls430 $8! I feel like a kid in a candy store
That's dope I'll have to hit up the lots next time I'm in the area. I live just over the border in La Grande. Could definitely use a few panels for my civic
Hell ya i love jalapy jungle i go there often. One of my favorite places we should meet up some time i got a 1995 honda civic. I am rebuilding the moter Just got done with the long block now got to get the head . rebuilt
You guys are very lucky to have junkyards like this.. In LA area all the junk yards sell the parts peace by peace.. and more expensive then aftermarket parts and almost the same price as dealer prices.. Back 14 years ago there was 1 junk yard like this in the video.. we usto go junk yrd diving but it was all still expensive.. you guys get stuff for free basicly.. out here it cost as much as dealer prices on stuff.. maybe 10-15% less if your lucky! I really hate living in LA and the citys!
Think you should do a junk yard turbo build for the civic. Nothing crazy just small turbo on 5psi. With everything from junkyard but maybe not the manifold.
I love pick and pull junkyards, I got myself 2 new taillights a new radio bezel a new shift knob and a wiper linkage and motor all for like 90 bucks which is less then one taillight online. Its like a candy store
We got this in adeliade, Australia, called u pull it $2 entrance and pick and pull off your own parts and they cheaper than normal over the counter wreckers not as many hondas though Difference is less cars but they layed out in maker (e.g Honda, Ford, Daihatsu)
Rule of thumb, if a car is in the junk yard and is wrecked, the drive train is most likely good, if the car isn't wrecked, it's probably in the junk yard cause of a mechanical problem
Seeing that red prelude made me sad! My black manual 5th gen prelude w/ black interior was just totaled on Monday while it was sitting in front of my house, those are great cars!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY it is a bit rough yeah! Sad to see such a clean Prelude go but it looks like I may have a mazdaspeed protege lined up! :) I really dig your civic, it is super clean!
I found a 38 revolver in Connecticut while i was working on a house i went for a walk in the local junk yard as i ate a sandwich for lunch ...i picked out a 1984 Cadillac fleedwood and got inside to eat in back seat and also roll up a nice junknyard blunt to get high and go back to work ....(my boss is a stoner too) and i dropped some shit in my pants and instincts i look in glove box from back seat to find the nices gun i have ever seen it had engraving on it and was super chromed out ...i still have it and love it ...do look arond the normal areas that driver has access to from seat ...
Interesting mod you missed, There was a first gen crv in the video. Always check to see if they have a manual gauge cluster. They are a direct replacement for the ek civic and have an orange background instead of blue.
Love going to the junk yard in kern county and tulare county CA , never know what part your gonna find for whos car doesnt even have to be yours , maybe dave at work had his seat torn from keys , happy birthday dave lol

As an owner of a black 00 Civic coupe, I just love your content! I keep mine clean like yrs😎👊🏼
Sweet!!
I like to go to the junkyard with my dad, i like to pretend im driving the cars

@Natalie Hot wow that sucks, do you live way out in the country or something?
Also you need to check Integras and crvs cause there's a lot of interchangeable parts. Like I have crv seats in my coupe(had to swap rails to fit) or the crv clusters fit np
gotta do your research to make sure but sometimes prelude seats fit in EGs and EKs as well, got some 5th gen prelude seats in my ek/ej6 sedan!
Yeah also mk1 crv clocks direct swap for ek civic look nicer too
That's a clean looking Honda, especially for the age.

Underrated channel, love seeing that red beast
Thanks for watching man
I try to do junkyard runs but where I live a Honda Civic won’t last a day lmao
I will need to do that soon
Because young static gets everything
That wouldn't be near Philly would it? Lol people are stripping Hondas before they hit the ground in the junkyard
Tyler Ortiz truth lol, only one or two civics every two or 3 weeks come through, and the whole of South Florida comes after it
😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
Ive been waiting forever for a junkyard vlog 😍
More junk yard vlogs please! Love your videos and this is an interesting side I’d like to see more of!
Thanks for the feedback!
So clean always love seeing your civic keep up the videos man 👊🏽

I found an original SI EK grill for $50 on a junkyard. Needed a little fixing and that's it. I love how it looks on my EK Sedan!😎💪
That would be a score for sure

I do. It’s always fun and somewhat relaxing
This was fun. I hope you do more of these. It’s always worth a dollar to get junk in the trunk.
I’ll bring Dane with me next time
It’s always cool watching videos like this especially when I have pulled parts off that orange eclipse

Don’t forget CRV clusters, they mimic the 99+ SIs and then don’t forget front and rear sway bars and ck doors and back valance for aftermarket speakers
Junkyards are gold mines. I found many gems for a 87 firebird. Sold it, miss it. Now my 99 Honda ex coupe project. Great video and thank you.
You're lucky they let you film on their premises. Around here (NC/SC), they won't allow it.
Eric Xiong at mine in NC they don’t care, but it’s also a pretty small town
Who said he asked? 🤔 🤣

Hey Anthony, just fyi if you go to the jalopy jungle website you can look up any car and it will show you what rows theyre in
94-97 Honda Accord uses the exact same U clips, I used them for my gen 6 oem front lip.
For a minute watching your video here,
Thought you were Chris Fix 😂😁

I like these types of videos. I've been looking for an oem 97-2001 honda crv spoiler for almost 2 years now with no luck
Love this video, brings me back to walking around with my dad. Except you're not yelling at me and I'm not crying.
The yard on the other side of the electric fence is barger mattson. Also a junkyard but they pull all the parts.

your honda is probably the cleanest 2000s honda i’ve ever seen
