Bro, NEVER EVER CLIMB UNDER A CAR AND KICK ANYTHING! Especially when it's sitting on some crude support system... lol you kick the TOP of the tire from the outside.
You ruined somebody’s plans. Those wheels were definitely put under there intentionally for someone that was going to come back later for them. Rookie move on their part, I’d take the wheels and hide them across the yard in a old random work van or something. Nice find 😂😂
@@JohnWank-gg6fy if I couldn’t afford the whole set at the time, I’d buy just one. I definitely wouldn’t stash the rest of them under the car though, those wheels would be all scattered clear across the yard in random cars trunks and SUVs. None of those other wheels would be anywhere near that fit anymore lol
I did that once with taillights🤣🤣 put em in a trunk that had a broken latch that I popped open and then closed it, came back and popped it open again💀💪🏽🤘🏽
I did the same thing to source some Acura TL starfish wheels for my 1st gen Odyssey. It took 3 junkyard trips to get a complete set. I used Duplicate-color bronze wheel paint. A little pricey but it turned out great. I skipped the clear coat as I was happy with the satin finish (plus I just wanted to get it done). Capped off with black center caps with a chrome “H” and new chrome lugs. Looks great and gets a lot of positive comments
I thought maybe these HFP wheels you found might be cheap on Ebay. But HOLY CRAP! They are not! No wonder you're hunting junkyards and Marketplace. I hope you find the fourth wheel soon. I'd send you one if I had it
It would definitely increase the car size look The black side skirts and lip just blend into the road and shadows so they just look like a huge gap. Used to have a car with horrible scratched lip and side skirts years ago. I used plastifico black to hide all the damage, but then it looked like I put a 2” lift on the car. The flat black just makes the trim almost disappear and makes it look like a much bigger gap than it really is.
so since i am a honda boy turned miata owner i figured i would comment. the nb you found is specifically my year color and trim, silver facelift LS trim with tan interior, exactly how i bought my car. those wheels would be great on your ek, they are 4x100 and 16’s and a lot of honda guys run them. they are called “nb twists” they only came on 2001-2005 (facelift) models and the steering wheel thats nardi that specific one only came on the facelift cars, the 1999-00 cars came with a boring base model steering wheel or a different nardi one that had the nardi logo on the airbag and not the rim of the wheel like on the 01-05 facelift cars
also i just wanna say in the 7 years ive been a car enthusiast and going around to all my local pick and pull junkyards ive NEVER seen ANY miata. thats crazy you guys in other states have the privilege of finding them. an acura integra in a yard here would be stripped and chopped up literally 1 hour into being brought into a yard. you can never find anything good where im at
Those rims were a come up for sure. Also GOD DAAAAMN my man is building my dream garage. S30, S130, Z31. If you get a z32 and z33, you have my dream garage, lol.
I knew before you even threw the hint up that the strut brace was from an 8 😅 I must be getting a little too familiar with being under the hood. Always love that maplestory intro music. Nostalgic
Love your dedication, man, and by the way, it's not recommended to spray paint next to cars as the spray paint from the can can easily be carried by air to your car and ruin its paint
those wheels look really good on your car that was a factory location for the miata battery , ive used a few different miata wheels on some of my past civics , some needed spacers like the 14" 1st gen miata wheels on a eg hatch
Just did all 9 ep's straight, well done man, at first i wasn't getting what you where trying to do, but now im hooked, looking forward to more finds, also, rip out the carpet and the headliner, cheap replacements on eBay and craigslist
I looked into those wheels a little bit, and they actually go for a decent bit of money, about $215 EACH. But if you keep checking junkyards I'm sure you can find at least one more to complete the set, they look GREAT (perfect color choice for the car as well)
the nardi wheel in those generations are stock, im looking for one currently as i have an NA, and the stock NA steering wheels are ugly. but the 3 spoke wheel WITH a airbag are very clean and sought after if you care about your life, but also want your wheel to look good.
Yeah buddy... You have a new mission ahead... Find that last wheel. They look great on the car. I only found your channel a couple of months ago, but I get hyped when you drop a new video in this series... Thank you for making these, they are very entertaining to watch. 👍👍
Are you new to the car world or modified car world? The fact you didn't know about nardi steering wheels blew me away. Not just popular overseas one of the most popular in the states. Top 3 for sure with momo and sparco.
@@blahber222 no gatekeeping. If that's how I read the comment you automatically assume negative in life. It was a serious question. Gatekeeping is not telling others about something good or cool to keep it "special" for the in the know.
You can use a deck of cards to put around the wheel by sliding them between the tire and wheel then throwing some painters tape on the tire then spray saves a little time
You got no clue how much I love these videos man! Been here since the first episode, watching every second without skipping. Thank you so much for making these longer. Stay safe
Love your videos man 😊 I don’t wanna bi*ch about things but please don’t kick the wheel while being under the car… you can kick it from the side as well and it will come off 😅
I like all of the maplestory tracks in your videos 😁 Thats a 3rd gen prelude btw 8889 to be exact. I have a 9091 4ws. The 2nd gen prelude looks very similar Those HFP oem optional wheels are a sweet score. Well worth the 70$ you paid for each you should beable to buy a 4th wheel but will probably cost as much as you paid for those 3 together
Loving this series. I'm in the Dallas area, what junk yards do you recommend? I wanna swap the interior of my 2012 CRV from gray to tan but have never done something like this before
when you spray, keep spraying and moving with motion, the spray pattern gets really bad when you "start-stop-start-stop" if that makes sense. also i would advice in using like a etching epoxy primer because wheels take a lot of beating from small rocks and stuff, easy to chip the paint without a good primer. id say you get 1 season without primer, and 4-5 with primer. They will chip, just waaaay slower.
Even if its just 3 its still a good find and price that you got it for, they also have a 5 lug version too, i have them for my 8th gen si and they cone as 18's. They're a bit pricey for being oem wheels compared to aftermarket but i like the look of them
Hey there, just came across your channel, thank you for keeping the 280zx alive, I used to have 1975 280Z, man loved that car, but just liked you I've many Hondas, Acura, Toyota and many others, keep doing of what you do, people will enjoy your channel.
So glad people still build these. The amount of parts that interchange is so nice. I was always hunting for manual CRV Clusters hunting for parts to make LsV and b20v's. Honda guys always got so much hate but they are such fun to modify and they can produce enough power to scare you 😅 #JDMyo
Little tip for knowing if a wheel will fit your car if you look at the back of the wheel somewhere in the back (sometime it is in the front) it will say what the bolt pattern is for example all 4 lug ford wheels are 4x108 (4 is how many lug holes there are and the 108 is the size) and there is also the wheel offset (how far it sticks out) next to it aswell
Loving the progress on this! Very encouraging to finish up my current projects. Pro tip for the rims. Get a clear coat rated for rims or even the 2k clear paint. Those will protect the wheels better from brake dust and chemical wear. I used the krylon clear coat on some interior parts I painted black and the high contact areas are already wearing down. Worked great on my oven door handle for the last 4 years but not on my car
I just picked up a set of drag dr27, Mugen m7 reps, for $100 on clearance from a place in southern Cali that sells old display wheels. Should check them out for cheap wheels. Craigers headers
There was one 5 spoke wheel with some dish i would have taken them if it's buddies was there as well. i guess you can call it on top of the pile closest to you
I love this premise. Keep up the great work. I used the junkyard to rebuild my 996 by using boxster parts because they’re the exact same thing as the front of my 996 beside the facelift lights, fenders and bumper

Quick tip: DO NOT GET UNDER THE CAR! Just kick it from the outside and you'll be good.
Exactly what I was thinking. If that rim holding up the back goes...yikes.
came looking for this and found it! that was so incredibly sketchy looking from his perspective...
Good old mule kick will always do it
Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, crazy how some people have no survival instincts!!!
Fun fact: NA and NB miatas come with the battery in the truck from the factory!
Ah beat me to it
You can tell I’ve never messed with a Miata! Lol! That’s cool to find out!
Damn I came here to say that too. I had an OG na Miata back in the day.
Idk about the nab but my na the battery is not in that pocket. It has a bracket it sits on.
beat me to it
PS hello from the miata community
Hope you find the 4th wheel, they came out great.
Heck yeah. HFP ftw 😊
Some genius probably hid it to come back and get all 4 😂

Great find & work on those wheels! Definitely keep the 3rd (even as a backup for the fronts) and find a 4th wheel.
I love hfp wheels from that era. What an awesome addition to the junkyard build!!! Gotta find that 4th one though
I bet the 4th wheel is at the junkyard, check all around the car a few rows out on each side of it, I’ve found multiple sets like that
Looks good bro I think painting the lips and side skirts to the color of the car would give off a lower look! Almost like a body kit
It would definitely increase the car size look
The black side skirts and lip just blend into the road and shadows so they just look like a huge gap.
Used to have a car with horrible scratched lip and side skirts years ago. I used plastifico black to hide all the damage, but then it looked like I put a 2” lift on the car. The flat black just makes the trim almost disappear and makes it look like a much bigger gap than it really is.
