I still have mine but Omega has seen better days. Battle damage from a Decepticon Attack when I was younger so he is pretty beat up. Ratchet and WheelJack are dead so noone there to repair him.
I miss when cullen’s optimus prime talked more normally and didn’t try to add gravitas to every line. I think the more well-rounded personality rather than the stoic, mindful leader made him more relatable and easier to root for. In many aspects I feel like the bay films and later hasbro split primes personality between optimus and bumblebee instead of making him more 3 dimensional
Omega was always the Transformer I related to the most. A big robot who didn't really fit anywhere so he was always alone away from others. Someone who although was a "Do the right thing" guy, but deep down was a brokenhearted soul who was let down by his friends. I guess I just felt for the guy.
In a way, but that stigma of being "The Last line of Defence" that usually comes with being a very large and formidable warrior means he is often more relatable to Metroplex than the average Autobot. It's a kind of stigma both the big guys share, and most of the smaller Autobots don't realize this, but Omega does tend to take it in his stride most of the time. It does make him grim and impersonal though.
What I wouldn't give to still have my toy collections. Back in the day I had almost every He-Man action figure. All of the G1 Transformers, and a ton of TMNT figures and vehicles. The 1 collection I managed to hold onto is my 90's X-MEN action figures. I have about 87 of them. They're all opened and played with, but I did manage to not lose the lil weapons. Also, I have a Sentinel, the X-Wing and the 2 vehicles that came out with the original set.

I always wanted to see Omega vs Trypticon during season 3 of Generation one. I think it would have been so cool seeing an autobot other than Metroplex face-off against him. :-)

I thought he was cool in the original, and always cheered when he showed up. But Animated made me connect and care about the character in a way I never had before. His relationship with Ratchet just really touched me, and he went from being "cool powerhouse" to a true favorite.
I always though the cause of Omega’s explosion was the experimental rocket fuel he was using. My favourite part of him, was how he messes with the constructions until they merge, he wants to fight by himself against them at their strongest. Unlike them who sneak attacked him but still couldn’t win.
As a kid, I used to stay up at night waiting for shooting stars in order to wish for this toy. Over 30 years, with student loans paid and some spare money, I finally got the WFC edition to fulfill that wish. Worth every penny. Then I thought he needed friends, then enemies. And 4 months later I'm like $1K down in figures and just got a desk and a couple Detolfs.

In the cartoon, Devastator manhandled Omega into the robosmasher and knocked Omega the fuck out. Devastator is a super robot, Omega is an old Guardian who's race has been about completely wiped out by ancient tiny less powerful tranformers.
There were a few other massive Transformers that debuted after Omega Supreme... Metroplex, Tripticon, Fortress Maximus... but none of them had the relatability, charm and history of good old Omega. Unlike the others, he was never a base with robot form, but an Autobot with a base form.

I am so glad I held out long enough for the Transformers Siege War for Cybertron Titan class Omega Supreme! Do you have a link to those old Transformers scripts, like Key to Vector Sigma? Omega was always one of my favorites. I wish they had done more with him in G1 season 2, had him go a few more rounds with Devastator and maybe take on Bruticus.
I think Omega and Devastator should have had more battles in season 2 and in season 3. I think the combiners should have been used more in general and Omega should have at one point fought others like Predaking. How cool would that have been? :-)
I still have parts of G1 Omega Supreme but there were so many parts I lost some. The rocket legs broke but the one thing I have that isn't broken is the actual tank. It still works to this day.
I loved the twist in Animated about Omega Supreme. I understand why you didn't mention this as you normally don't talk about third party or customs, but someone (sorry idk the name of the guy) made a custom Animated Omega Supreme that transformed and actually sold it, it was quite expensive and I never got it, I know you probably heard of it but I think it's insane one guy made it and I wanted to bring that up.

Ignoring the Constructicon origin continuity issue, I assume that the team of six construction caste Cybertronians were not actually called Constructi- *cons* until *after* their reprogramming. If they weren't members of the Decepticon political faction, it doesn't make much sense that they would be designated as a Decepticon team. 7:55 is it just me, or does he look like the Thundertank (if it had a cannon)?
Before my love for the combiner groups and characters like Fortress Maximus, and Unicron, Omega Supreme was my first favorite otriginal big Autobot. Thought his origin in the cartoon was so cool adding a backstory to his rivalry with the Constructicons.
You know what that actually makes more sense like you said he smaller then titan but at same time when toy releases it’s gonna be some what near tryipicon’s height so I say the might as well be selling a titan sized omega supreme.
Titans are much larger in fiction. Omega should be the same height as a Combiner in robot mode but this new toy will scale well against Combiner Wars Devastator.
I had one of those Blue versions when I was a kid 6 or 7 years old. It was at least 3 years before Transformers was released. I had no idea what it did. It was a tank on a track with Rocketship. I didn't know it formed a robot. I think my Mother threw it out rather quickly.

Omega Supreme was always my favorite Transformer. I loved him so much till today, that when I was 7 years old, I named the Electricity Tower in the entrance to my city Omega Supreme. So for 30 years now whenever I'm returning to my city in the interurban buses and I need to say where I am to my family to pick me in their cars, or when my family tells each one of us on the phone that they are at the entrance to the city - we allways say that we are near The Omega, or passed The Omega. Even though the middle brother was only 3 years old when the series was on tv, and the young brother was just born - they called it since then The Omega. That's how his character was so important to me all my life :-)

Great video. I have always stuck with the G1 cartoon storyline for Omega, but some of those comics seem interesting. I might have to check them out finally. By the way, I've never had the transformation sound effect happen like that when I played with Omega Supreme. You sir, are a true master.

I do think later combiner teams, Metroplex, and Fortress took away from Omega’s specialty. Fortress outright stole Omega’s position and I’m never going to forgive the writers.
Nifty character, and the Titan-Class version is my favourite incarnation so far. As for the Energon version, I've head-canoned him into the suitably pretentious-sounding "Epsilon Praetorius," as an auxiliary to Metroplex, acting as a "dockside" transport and tactical combo of ship, defense turret, crane, and road-train. The whole shebang is overseen by the Headmaster, Epsilon, who runs not only the dock facilities, but also the Autobots' logistics and daily operations of the city.
0:16 SketFire When my son was little, he LOVED Omega Supreme. So much so that he declared February 15th as Omega Supreme's birthday. I was undergoing chemo and looked awful. He was really stressed out and all so darnit, we melade a cake, got candles, had the hats and decorations and had a birthday party for Omega Supreme. It was fun and it helped improve morale.

Ive always liked Omega Supreme, it shows the Autobots can have immense firepower too, they're not always the underdogs

I wished omega supreme appeared in the transformers animated toyline
Why Omega always on the verge of self destruction and prone to a couple of shots taking him down in G1?
Omega Supreme was always my favorite Transformer. I loved him so much till today, that when I was 7 years old, I named the Electricity Tower in the entrance to my city Omega Supreme. So for 30 years now whenever I'm returning to my city in the interurban buses and I need to say where I am to my family to pick me in their cars, or when my family tells each one of us on the phone that they are at the entrance to the city - we allways say that we are near The Omega, or passed The Omega. Even though the middle brother was only 3 years old when the series was on tv, and the young brother was just born - they called it since then The Omega. That's how his character was so important to me all my life :-)

Omega serpream should have been in the titans return toyline. That way he would of had a head master.
I had Omega Supreme in Christmas 86(greatest Christmas ever because I got the NES video game as well) and I will say this, if you lose even one piece of Omega, you will not have Omega Supreme

I think Unicron and The Swarm from G2 comics are the only entities in Transformers with a higher kill count.
He does. Only the Headmaster's, Target Masters and Power Masters survived. Oh, and Ratchet too.

Great video. I have always stuck with the G1 cartoon storyline for Omega, but some of those comics seem interesting. I might have to check them out finally. By the way, I've never had the transformation sound effect happen like that when I played with Omega Supreme. You sir, are a true master.

I do think later combiner teams, Metroplex, and Fortress took away from Omega’s specialty. Fortress outright stole Omega’s position and I’m never going to forgive the writers.
Nifty character, and the Titan-Class version is my favourite incarnation so far.
As for the Energon version, I've head-canoned him into the suitably pretentious-sounding "Epsilon Praetorius," as an auxiliary to Metroplex, acting as a "dockside" transport and tactical combo of ship, defense turret, crane, and road-train. The whole shebang is overseen by the Headmaster, Epsilon, who runs not only the dock facilities, but also the Autobots' logistics and daily operations of the city.

When my son was little, he LOVED Omega Supreme. So much so that he declared February 15th as Omega Supreme's birthday. I was undergoing chemo and looked awful. He was really stressed out and all so darnit, we melade a cake, got candles, had the hats and decorations and had a birthday party for Omega Supreme. It was fun and it helped improve morale.
Omega Supreme actually got rescued by his fellow Autobots in the WFC Autobot campaign. Too bad he went into stasis before FOC.
Back when the original toyline was out,the Omega Supreme one was a status symbol to own.Few kids had $100.00 plus tax to buy it.
