awwwwws you haven't done the other paths yet :( I saw this first as an anime I this it was called Fate/Stay Night unlimited blade works. So its very interesting to see what the other paths were. Much rather this than FF I know all the FF stories by heart. Keep up the awesome :P

Actually it killed him five times over, Archer killed him 6 times in 6 unique separate ways, Toshaka killed him one time and that only leaves four resurections stacked on Berserker. Still awesome tho.

One mistake 18:44. The sword Saber keeps sealed is Excalibur. She wields Caliburn later in her scuffle with Berser-Car.

No man actually, the Manga called "Battle Royal" adapted from the book "Battle Royal" is the original Battle Royal , it's the first time when the term were used. It's even got the zone like the games.

I hear Fate has several unused routes like the standalone Sakura and llya routes (Heaven's Feel was a combo of both), Caster route, Mashu/Sheilder route and Shinji route. These would have been called Fate Other Night

It's a great twist that way. The clues are all there, but because you don't have any idea that you should be looking for it, you don't see it until it's pointed out.

I think it's worth mentioning that after Rider is defeated and Shirou let's Shinji go (or rather Shirou ignores Shinji because Saber is far more important to him and Shinji runs away crying), Shinji is killed by Iliya and Berserker.

well ilya and berserker were looking for them and the only other servants were lancer, caster and gil.

Unity Research rin didn’t get naked she just acted very homoerotic
The sex scenes were included since at the time, Type-Moon thought the game would sell better with them. There's a reason why in all future adaptations (as well as the PSP port), they were all replaced.

only error i noticed is when Saber first uses her NP. She doesn't have Caliburn at this point in her life since it was broken and replaced with Excalibur, and she only has access to it after Shirou starts using Projection towards the end of the story. Otherwise, awesome recap

I see the differences from the game and the Anime 2006 adaptation but I believe most of it was adapted well in the anime. I've noticed the anime took a few plot points from the other routes. I'm guessing studio Deen thought it was gonna be the only Fate/ anime, so they just decided to make an amalgamation of all three routes but mostly being the Fates route.

Great recap mate! I do have to point some things out though. For people who still want to read the VN I recommend Fate/Stay Night [Realta Nua] - Ultimate Edition. Just make sure to turn off the sex scenes in Fate & UBW but have them on in Heaven's Feel!

What would the 2006 Anime adaptation be like if Studio Deen had known there was gonna be a 24-25 episode anime adaptation for Unlimited Blade Work and a movie trilogy adaptation of Heaven's Feel before they decided to anime the Fate(ish) route?
It would make the series way more accessible. I hope Ufotable just does the Fate route when they're done with HF, so people can finally experience it all in anime format.
Uh-oh spoilers, it is never said in the Fate route who Rider is. You only know that in Heaven's Feel.
And that at 28:36 is wrong. Shirou projected a different weapon that Saber used to completely block Ea's blast. Still good stuff.

Vincent Kelley When you replay the game, you can skip any parts you've already seen. So, you can skip the prologue on repeat plays and just jump to Shirou's part

I must admit I've never fully understood the difference between Caliburn and Excallibur
As far as I am aware, Caliburn is the name used for the Sword in the Stone/Sword of Choosing in Fate. Excalibur was a gift from the lady of the lake.
However I have also heard Caliburn as an interchangeable name for Excalibur, so who knows what is really right at this point.
@@thecatfromspace72 In the real legend, the Sword in the Stone has no name. Caliburn and Excalibur are not only the same sword, but they might as well be the same word at that.
