Got to respect a man who not only hooks his own drone but then sets up the final shot across a lake, puts the canoe on his head, walks off to then paddle back for it. Just for us.
The music you play as you’re setting up your campsite to rest for the night, gives us a perfect feeling of being alone and being one with nature. It’s the perfect intro when you’re ending your day.
What sets Xander apart from other nature / camping channels is he is legitimately hilarious. And he knows he's funny so the comedic relief is always at the perfect time. The snapping turtle weenie joke was top tier
Its gotta be realistic camping equipments for me , I've seen people bringing $25000 worth of equipment for camping and it feels less cozy and relaxing . . . . And of course his really good photography/video skills xD
I know this has been stated time and time again, and I'm sure it's even been said on this video already as well, but the amount of effort Xander puts into placing a camera somewhere just to leave it for quite some distance just to have to come back is astounding. Absolutely commendable work that he is putting in and all for the pure enjoyment for those of us watching. We see you Xander!
I love how you make every video unique while maintaining the same DNA. I love seeing how much effort you put into every video and I LOVE seeing how much you enjoy doing what you're doing, keep doing it because I love watching it😂. A smile doesn't leave my face from the second the video starts till the very end. Thank you Xander!
Always the best therapy to go sleeping: watching Xander surviving in Canada and making good video content from the beauty of nature ! keep on going Xander, you're the best! Greetings from Belgium
Awesome video, Xander! Thanks for putting all the effort into taking us along and making us part of the adventure. Glad you're back in Canada. It's such a beautiful place.
Patches, no!! Always remember, we will. Speaking of those forest fires in Canada, the smoke from them has made the skies in central Kentucky look hazy the last couple weeks. Hopefully you all will get plenty of rain soon. Stay safe bro ✌️🏕
Dude I love these longer videos. When I load up a new vid and I see it around the 30 minute mark I'm just like "Oh yeah baby, thats the good stuff". Hope your drone was fixable! The dedication to that last shot too, paddle all the way across leaving the camera behind to get that shot, then have to paddle back for it in the rain, the effort and dedication does not go unnoticed, and is very much appreciated.
Ive been out in the wild more all cuz of this guy a fellow canadain so glad to see how youve grown in skills and confidence. Proud of you xander keep on brother.
We are grateful you gave us the opportunity to spend it with you! I’m sure you will take every chance to enjoy your your beautiful, sleek boat 🛶. Nice color too!
That last day might not have been the best but I would still call it a success. You had "food" in your belly, didn't lose the drone, and didn't get hurt... thats a success in my book.
When I heard about the fires in Ontario, I couldn't help but think of you and Jon @lostlakes, my two favorite wilderness channels. Always happy to see your videos. Thanks!
Xander, I used to work in a fishing store for years. Go and buy some small "mini jigs" with a split shot above it and simply bounce the rod tip as you reel in I guarantee you'll catch more trout than with a spoon or spinner in those places you go to. Show me some video if you do try that out. Nice episode this week.👍Looking forward to the next one. Cheers, M.W.😊
That is such a gorgeous spot. Hey if you ever want to come to the west coast let a guy know! Vancouver Islander born and raised! Also try trolling in the canoe next time with a fly, and don't forget to set that hook.
Hey man I wish I could go camping with as little as you do lol. I’m a lot older so I have to bring a tad bit more lol I like that you safe the rain deer stuff. Good lesson. Also your new boat is awesome man. Can’t wait to see you soon on another video
Oh lovely trip been waiting for your next adventure. You push yourself in more ways than anybody. I know and it is always fun to see you come out on top. Be blessed take good care of yourself and God director path.
Watching your videos is like a new movie release, I get so hyped. It is so fun to watch you challenge yourself and feel like I'm learning stuff along the way. Your the reason I've gotten into backpacking recently and this video is awesome!
Thank God you bought a new canoe! I'm very happy for you Xander because I've been leary about your blue one! I didn't think it was in good enough shape for you to use anymore. Thank you for another awesome and wonderful video! I couldn't deal with all of those bugs being in my face. Have a great Summer! 😊😊😊😊. Michael
Your expressive and creative energy make some of the very best outdoor videos ever made. It’s been a sublime experience to watch your evolution and increased mastery of your plethora of cameras.
One light small thing I always bring with me when camping is Knorr Chicken Bullion cubes , they are a life saver . Chicken lichen , mushroom soup . delicious !
Man alot of love from iran 🥂🍾 You and your amazing adventures bring us an interesting perspective on how to enjoy camping and how to enioy nature while being a friend of it. And gives us the opportunity to see a different part of the world while we try to get in touch with nature in our own way.🍁
Hi Xander! Your videos give me so much calmness and love to watch these in the evenings! The cineography and the soft music makes is so calm and easy to watch. I have watched thru all of your videos with the crazy adventures. I really love the ones where u do the gourme food cookings. The waterpowered chicken on a stick and the burgers and stuff all looks so amazing. Would love some more big outdoor food cooking
I did NOT mean to hit the thumbs down!! Love the new canoe, Xander. Looking forward to new adventures this year. Put a stringer in your tackle box to keep your catch fresh until you’re ready to cook. My experience in Alaska, more so with Grayling, fish can get musty tasting if they sit too long. Thanks for taking us along!
I really do appreciate the knowledge and understanding of our current fire guidelines! So many people camping right now are still having fires and it’s so dangerous to do
Thank you sir, for uploading the video again. Always love your videos sir. Because your video is postive and doesn't have negative thing. Keep up the good work and never stop doing positive things. Rock on
Up that hill look so fresh, what a fresh air, peaceful, quiet... me... sitting there.... I wish i had Doraemon’s magic pocket.... Thanks for making the video Xander, keep up the great and positive work👍🏼👍🏼

I don't think that you've ever been on the show "Alone". If not, I think that you'd be a great addition to the show. Love your content and channel. Amazing work!
Great sound for the video goes with what your doing, Beautiful spot to camp out awesome Brook Trout Fishing and yes that haze from the wildfires can be pretty sickning depending which way the wind blows . Love the new canoe what an awesome purchase. Wonderful videography and drone footage of the area as always . lol cant blame ya for spitting that moss out , Thanks for bring us with you. Ontario
Congrats on your new canoe. After catchin you on a trip with John I've been watchin your content. You crack me up. Such a great personality. Sad about the fires up there. Been seeing footage on the news about it here in NW FL. Until next time, take care.
I have seen you many times when you go fishing with Ted and Jim and just watched this video and enjoyed it very very much. Thank you for very entertaining content . I look forward to watching your other videos as I subscribed today .
Nice video Xander! To increase your odds at catching more fish, you could have ad on a grub/insect on your spinner. Also make sure you're hands are not full of " muskol " ( deet ) before touching your lure. Fish have a good sense of smell. Have a great summer
Hey dude, been a little under the weather and didn't catch this video for a couple days. Love the new canoe. Patches has been great but you deserve a new one. Your content is the best and we don't want you drowning in one of those white water trips. Keep safe my friend!!
What beautiful spot to show off your beauty canoe! I love the color. Thanks for sharing what you do. Sorry about your drone. That would've been a cool shot. Good catch!😊

Absolutely agree with this!!! Nobody does solo backpacking catch and cooks better than Xander. I wish there were more!
I 100 percent agree with you
"I like when you can eat an animal like corn on the cob" is hilarious. Great video as always Xander!
