- You guys thought I was done with this series, but I got another one! Today we're gonna try and beat Sonic Adventure 2 using Eggman! We found alot of eggciting tricks we can use, and we were able to pull off some stuff that I'd never think he could do!

Honestly the eggman prision break in feels like eggman utilizing his brain to get in.

Eggman in prison lane turns Sonic Adventure 2 into a puzzle game. A game befitting of a man with 300 iq.

On Eggman and low gravity... The way jumping works in this game is that, after you jump, you get some extra upwards acceleration each frame until a character-specific number of frames have passed or you let go of the jump button. Gravity is only slightly lower in low gravity (at least for non-mech characters), but this extra acceleration is the same, leading to it boosting jump height by a fair bit more. For the speed and treasure-hunting characters, this timer lasts 60 frames.
For mechless Eggman, this timer is zero frames. Holding the jump button does absolutely nothing. I think he does actually have lower gravity, but the result is that he only jumps slightly higher than normal.

Apparently Eggman's ability is throwing Omochao.
Omochao is a robot so him using Omochao makes total sense

Dude I wish I recorded the chat reactions, people were going crazy in the live chat! I was so excited, I had no idea any of that was possible, and I've never even seen anyone else attempt it. I only knew omochao slingshot was possible from trying it with Sonic, but I had no idea Eggman could even do it, let alone so many times.

3:50 The game doesn't care about your action, it only looks at if you hit multiple, specific triggers which have a spherical hitbox and if you hit the second trigger within a certain amount of time you get points for them. I used to have a video explaining that but I never finished it whoops

For some reason the pit floor in prison lane is solid as eggman, you can just jump down there and run to the end
I think Eggman was upside down on the Final Chase opening because the game launches the character by a spring to the rail to start the level, seeing as he doesn't hit the rail he continues in his launched state.

I’d like to imagine the in-canon explanation of Eggman’s break-in is a combination of him walking up to the GUN robots and activating their self-destruct sequences, as well as hacking a random Omochao into destroying the obstacles in his way.

I think a good challenge would be The treasure hunt levels but you have to find the emerald pieces backwards with regular radar
I would have never guessed that Omochao were hiding this level of destructive power. What's even crazier is that it has nothing to do with the mod, it's just his natural ability working as Sonic Team intended!

@@EpicDuskk You actually want to hit the pulley again as it reaches the top, then hold towards the area it usually leads, hitting it at the highest point and doing so most of the time will get up there

Could have been maybe planned for him to be playable outside the garden or something. Or maybe they just did it for fun. Back then devs put more time into actual gameplay stuff. Wouldnt be surprised if they gave him an animation just in case they wanted to make him playable outside of the garden.
They also made it so Metal Sonic and Chaos 0 cant drown, even though you'd never see it in normal gameplay.

Do you know what its called? I haven't seen that one. Unless you're referring to the mod that puts SA2 levels in SA1, which i've streamed, but my recording got glitched so I haven't made the video yet.
I would give the link I have saved, but TH-cam deletes comments with links sadly. It's a mod on Gamebanana, the physics swap mod is what it's called. There's one for SA2 that'll let you change the physics to either SA1 or Heroes. I recommend trying it out.
