Proof that he. Robert Pattinson is a great Batman overall. If my Batman can’t comfort a child. He isn’t Batman. He did a great job. I can’t wait for him to inspire me again.
“But if we survive them, they can transform us, they can give us the power to endure and the strength to fight”. The whole point of the Batman mythos summed up. Using terrible things that happen in your life to become stronger and channel it to do something good.
I have to admit, of all the live-action Batman films that have appeared and will appear, Robert Pattison's Batman was the one that most made me feel like I was watching the animated films of Batman Anomated Series and The Batman 2004 were very nostalgic, even though many didn't like them, I loved them. Even though Part 2 has unfortunately been postponed, I'll be eagerly awaiting it and I'm still looking forward to the Penguin series.
Such a brilliant film. This ending monologue is completely impeccable, setting up the next movie while defining what his goals will become as Batman and his transformation to vengeance to hope. A character transformation we haven't seen in any other Batman film (asides from the Lego Batman Movie, naturally). And Matt Reeves' vision of Gotham is perfect, embodying a city hurt by corruption but still trying, paying homage to other interpretations of Gotham and portraying a truly inspired, comic-accurate one. This vision--with the epic cinematography and lighting, and the sick Nirvana music which is so Batman--speak Gotham to me, this is what i picture. The Batman is not just vengeance anymore, he's more.
This is the greatest line of dialogue ever uttered in a live action Batman film. Sums up the character and the message of the movie. Can’t wait for the sequel
That girl grabbing his arm is the greatest moment in Batman cinematic history. It's the depiction of hope that even the best of previous films were lacking.
@ I love the Dark Knight trilogy. I’m a huge fan. I didn’t think anything would even come close to matching it. But it was lacking scenes where Batman showed what he means to the little people, to the rest of the world. When he was saving someone, he was saving Rachel, he was saving Jim, he was saving Jim’s son. All folks that he had a personal connection to in a way. But when Robert Pattinson Batman leads a crowd of strangers out of the arena and starts loading them onto medic choppers, those are special moments, we haven’t seen before.
I love this ending. Even though this is a gritty/realistic Batman they don't keep him as brutal and edgy and his arc is realizing he has to be compassionate and a symbol of hope
MASTERPIECE!!! A completely different type of ending that I didn't see coming. Loved this film!! My favorite Live Action Batman film!!! Can't wait for Penguin and The Batman 2!!!
Love seeing Batman go from someone just focused to someone who the people of Gotham can seek comfort in. To criminals he is vengeance personified and their worst nightmare but to the people of Gotham he is their Dark Knight
love how in htis movie he had his inner monologue just like in the comics. "ignore it. put whats left into it." - batman year one (batman whilst trying to escape from a crumbling building while also being hunted down by the gcpd.)
Its very good. Just not as good as the Dark Knight ending. Gordon and Batman’s speeches at the end of that film are obviously where this film gets its que from. Pattison does the character justice. He was a good choice.
This movie makes penguin so much better because Riddlers destruction is still around and the victims are still suffering through it. Goes to show how much it changed things for the worse before things get better.
“Things will go worse before they get better, and some will seize the chance to grab anything they can.” all we can hope is that this isn’t true for election.
This is my minds eye of BatMan, i dont want Reeve's BatMan in the new DCEU but i need this type of Bat in the new movies because this scene always beings me to tears. Now i might just be saying that because im pretty close to sending myself to the reboot van but this ending stinger and the new Superman trailer give me just enough gas to remember that im doing everything i do for my lady and if that's the conclusion I'm drawing then id say that those two are really helping people; fictional or not.
I desperately hope this movie gets a sequel. This was easily one of my favorite Batman movies and it offers so much character growth that I think a lot of the other stories neglect
Went in with zero expectations for this movie. Came out in awe at a fantastic Batman movie.
