Definitely with you there. I watched it at an IMAX screen. Although I absolutely love this movie, I didn't fully enjoy the cinema experience though. About 10 mins in I told a rough looking guy two seats away from me to quieten down as was constantly yacking to his GF at the side of me. He didn't apologise, but I could feel an uneasiness in the air around him that he wasn't too happy about me. I spent the remaining 3 hours trying my damndest to enjoy a movie I'd been massively looking forward too, and worrying whether I was gonna be involved in some fisticuffs at the end of the movie for showing this guy up in front of his GF. Fortunately, he left at the end without issue, but it was still an uneasy watch for the wrong reasons haha Both this and TDK, should be shown in cinemas as a double bill at least once a year ad infinitum do that each passing generation know how proper films should look.
One complaint I CAN'T get behind is that "the movie is too long." What I love about this movie so much is that there are no *open ended questions the movie missed, no weak characters the movie had, and no reality where we felt certain characters didn't get enough screen time!* If this movie was any shorter we would ALL have complaints about where it lacked. But BECAUSE they took those extra 30 minutes (which I was so happy about), there are no open ended questions left. We feel FULFILLED watching the movie! Matt Reeves wanted to tell his story, so why not LET him tell his story? We as Batman fans go to see extra scenes WITH Batman. What is there to complain about?

The movie is too long because Batman needs to walk all the time and ask about riddles because he's not that smart. You say there where no weak characters? The Penguin is pointless and irrelevant to the plot, Gordon is only for exposition dialogue. The movie is stupid and really bad written copy of Seven and Zodiac.
All movies? You need to broaden your horizons. Start with watching something other than standard Hollywood films. The Substance, for example, is EXTREMELY stylistic. But also has a great story, performances, effects. Did you go watch it? I’m betting not.
My favorite Batman scene from any of the movies is when vengeance dies, and Batman is symbolically reborn, almost like a baptism through the death of vengeance. It's such a powerful scene, especially with the red flare and all.
it was so naive. Firstly, it ruins the premise of neo-noir movie where it should end on a bitter note and show that humanity is flawed. Second thing: it comes like out of nowhere. There is no problem in comics that Batman is a symbol of vengeance and nothing wrong with that, but they showed in the movie him changing and helping citiziens like some kind of fireman. That's not Batman from the comics. Generally the movie is too naive to be considered neo-noir or a serious take, not with Bruce Wayne writing a diary like a 15yo that he's not hiding in the shadows but he is the shadows. ROTFL
I see "The Batman" and I click. We can joke but this for me was one of best movies i have seen in decade. Nothing topped the atmosphere, cinematography and audio of this movie. Totally didnt expect it would be that good, watched it 2 times now and gotta say it is most likely one of best Batman movies ever. I love Dark knight trilogy but man this movie is such a diamond people will respect it over next few decades. Can't wait for the sequel! Also was sad to see Matt Reeves cancelled "Arkham" TV series project. Cant wait to see whats next after Penguin.
I like the detail that you mentioned about bruce not being able to look at riddler until he realized that he didn't know that he was batman, and then he was able to look at him again. It's like all of his confidence is conjured up when he is batman but as soon as you take that away he becomes a kid. Really good take and nice video!
One of the things I found interesting is the amount of times Batman asks a question throughout the movie. And the fact that he ultimately loses at the end while taking alot of damage due to his inexperience. It made me realize how much the other movies portray him as an unstoppable force that never makes mistakes. I also like how Bruce Wayne is actually the alter ego in this interpretation.
One of the best parts in the movie is when he jumps of the top of the police precinct and he botches the landing bad ASF 😂😂😂 you better believe he upgraded that flying squirrel pack to a cape that he can glide with real practice. Just a awesome movie he is not perfect at all he is so green it's way more realistic and the city was spot on!!!...

I fangirled so hard when the Batmobile shook the theatre, its sheer intensity and its menacing presence obscured in darkness just to fill that void with its raging fire was so fucking awesome.
This is one of my favourite films of recent times, I remember seeing it in cinemas for the first time and for some reason just being in awe at the scene with the red flare. In such a gritty film the use of colour is much more impactful imo.
The scene where he rises up after beating up the first thug is amazing also the Riddler was super funny hes supposed to be creepy but I laugh so hard when he goes off
It's being loved more and more now ever since the release of The Penguin (which in itself is genuinely such a phenomenal show and is in contention for best show of 2024) which made people appreciate it so much more
I was mocked endlessly for telling people in advance how good this was going to be. The director's work on "Let Me In" told me that this movie was going to be an incredibly visceral Batman film. People mocked me for saying Robert Pattinson was going to be a great Batman... but he had already proven himself to me MUCH more than his twilight role with films like 'Good Time', 'High Life' and 'The Lighthouse'. It felt like the WB animated series. The impossible was made possible. In order to ground Batman in reality, it had to be shown that Bruce is essentially Batshit crazy. Pattinson looked absolutely unhinged in the Batsuit with the dead eyes he gave in his performance.
I used to trash this movie, I thought it was vastly overrated when it came out in theaters. I was the same as you, only now I had the feeling i needed to revisit this film. It is simple not a film for theaters, it deserves a more intimate experience at the darkness of your own room, headphones on 100%. Thank you for encapsulating all of that.
Saw this movie in imax. When I walked into the theater, they told me that the ac is broken, 90 degrees in there, so I can get a refund if I want. Walked in and the theater was packed. Everybody was hot and sweaty but it was worth it.
Sounds terrible .. Being stuck in a hot theater watching that movie. It was painful enough and I saw it at home with my vodka and water. Movie was so boring.

I’m convinced it was raining all over the globe the week the Batman was released. Walking out of the Batman in the rain completely shitfaced was one of the the best evenings of my life
16:40 is such an incredible part that i think alot of us missed and makes Carmine's final scene have even more weight and just overall impactful. Bruce being recognized with no consequences as carmine dies with his secret is just so cool
This movie came out at the lowest point in my life and genuinely kept me going. Batman was my childhood hero and his speech about hope in this movie, combined with him rescuing everyone in the flood, motivated me to keep going. I'll cherish this film because of that.
This comment hits me perfectly as Garfield perfectly played "my" Spider-Man, especially the bridge scene, as much as Pattinson was "my" Batman. Both actors perfectly portrayed my mental image of their respective characters!
I've watched this movie about 7 times since its release, I loved it the first time i watched it and will always love it, I think one of the biggest reasons for its success is because it makes Batman seem like a realistic character, like if you could get enough money and enough training, YOU could actually be Batman. The cherry on top is their decision to make Bruce Wayne this depressed emo kid, which honestly just made him more relatable to a lot of young males, and it brought about a lot of memes. So the fact that Batman is someone you think you could be and Bruce Wayne is someone you already are, it justs hits home and feels extremely personal. Oh and the casting of Zoe Kravitz was spot on, as far as the male gaze goes
I dont care about batman, but i watched this one recently and i'm obsessed, its easily now one of my favourite films.. such a deep emotional film with great character development, POV shots and awesome scenes like the bat-mobile for example ..
I didn’t expect this to be something I’d thrown on the tv often just to have something in the background. It’s blown my mind how the more you engage w this story/mystery/conspiracy, the more you’re rewarded. The attention to detail in creating this world is astounding, and reading Paul Dano’s Riddler comic as well as watching the Penguin HBO show, just enriches your appreciation for the world Reeves has created. I have zero interest in this Batman joining a wider DC movie universe; keep it in house with a tight lid, this thing is gold by itself.
Christopher nolans the dark night, is an action crime thriller featuring batman and the joker. The batman 2022 is a Batman movie that we never knew we didn't get it until we saw it. In my opinion, the batman is the best superhero movie ever made. It can never get a sequel, and it will still be Perfect
Completely agree. My favorite superhero of all time is Daredevil. My favorite comic book cinema of all time is the Daredevil series, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Batman. Nothing will ever top them, probably. The Penguin is phenomenal though and i can't wait for The Batman Part II.
I know how this movie is already a masterpiece, but the fact that the penguin spinoff is as good as it is blows my mind. Like it’s not perfect but oh my is it probably one of the better tv shows I have seen come out in recent years.
The fact that batman actually gets hits from punches, weapons and guns and bullets, you feel the impact on his body and then he still keeps fighting and tanks it like a chad is what made it so great for me.

When I first saw gone girl I thought the halfway point was the end and then I checked there was an entire second half of a movie left and I was shocked when Amy did her monologue. Crazy movie. Batman is Sick 👍.

The Batman is a comic book masterpiece that captured the world of Batman perfectly. I love how tortured Robert Pattinson's Batman is. People forget that Bruce is a tortured character. The playboy billionaire thing is just an act. For the first time in live action we see the real Bruce Wayne. Also I love that Batman actually develops as a character in this movie. Usually in the movies Bruce Wayne gets all the development and Batman is just a background character. I love that Batman is front and center the entire movie. This movie is fantastic.
You're being pretty bias considering how Christian Bale did a good job of showing how much of a tortured character Bruce Wayne is in Batman Begins and how through the league of shadows he finds purpose.

Just look at the numbers: - The Batman: $772 million (should've hit $1 billion) - Dune Part 2: $714 million (deserved $1.2+ billion) - The LOTR Experience - John Wick 4: $440 million (should've made atleast $700 million) But these movies are pulling in the big bucks: - Jurassic World Dominion: $1 billion - Doctor Strange 2: $955 million - Deadpool and Wolverine: $1.33 billion - Inside Out 2: $1.69 billion (Crazy isn't that?) - Spiderman No Way Home: $1.91 billion So, we might rarely get these amazing movies for mature audiences in the future.
Those last 5 movies you listed are all nostalgia bait movies as-well except maybe inside out 2 since idk I haven't seen it. Goes to show that a lot of people don't even want to take a chance on a great movie which is outside their comfort zone, which is funny because those first 3 movies are not exactly not mainstream either, they are just on the better side of what blockbusters should be in terms of quality.
these movies are kinda like an investment, the batman universe that will be created will bring more money in the future, flashy movies just get hyped by the monkeys and bring more money to the table but have no future value. think how much rewatchability the batman has in comparison to spiderman homecoming for example.

What bothers me most about the fans is that some REFUSE to give this movie credit simply because they're scared it'll be liked more than the Nolan trilogy, and that is just sad. This movie to me captures the true essence of the Batman the best. Sure the movie isn't a superhero peice like TDK, and it isn't as fantastical as the Keaton films, but this movies truly feels like the Arkham games.

Agree. Nolan's Batman was my favorite until I saw "The Batman." Not just my favorite comic-book hero movie, but one of my favorite movies in general. THAT'S how good it is.
This movie is a visual masterpiece. It’s my favorite comic book movie, ever. You can think the dark knight is a better movie or has a better story, but when it comes to immersion, cinematography, fight scenes, and pretty much everything about the visuals, this movie is like a hydrogen bomb while the dark knight is like a coughing baby. Gotham actually feels like Gotham. And now that the penguin is out and fucking amazing, this world is only getting better

It’s aging very well I know it’s not perfect but it’s damn close and it’s a sleeper hit it gets better the more you watch it.The cinematography is excellent and aesthetically pleasing, the acting and the character development is genius especially Robert Pattison’s performance and the world building of Gotham is excellent. The films weaknesses are clearly studio interference but I’m sure they will let Matt Reeves cook for the sequel.
I think the thing that made this movie was Robert Pattinsons commitment to wearing the batsuit. All the footage of Bruce Wayne we saw in the trailers truly were the only times, aside from maybe like one or two scenes, where he was actually Bruce Wayne. The majority of the time he was wearing that cape and cowl. He truly melted into that character. Even in this movie, the true identity of Bruce has always been debated on “who is the REAL mask” and I don’t think that would’ve sold if he didn’t wear the suit as much as he did.
Prince of Gotham during the day and Dark Knight during the night. Bruce Wayne “sleeps” during night while Batman “sleeps” during the day. Batman is the blanket that helps Bruce Wayne “sleep” at night.
I love this movie so much because of all the attention to detail on top of this already well executed concept. The Riddlers glasses were inspired by one of the first ever movie adaptations of the Riddler. The Batmobile itself was designed by render artist ashthorp, who previously worked on brutalist (vehicle) designs that perfectly fit the gotham aesthetic. It all just ties in together so well
I’ve watched the Batman like 10 times. And every time I enjoy it and to me it’s the best Batman movie. Yes even better than the dark knight simply because they portray a realistic Batman. The penguin series locked that in for me and I can’t what for the Batman part 2
Bravo for this video. The Batman is not just an amazing superhero/noire detective film, but it’s just pure beautiful cinema. Reeves & co really put their soul into not just this film, but the universe they’re building around it. Makes me even more excited we’ll probably be getting AT LEAST one trilogy.
Michael Keaton is my Batman, for the nostalgia and I grew up on his and Tim Burton's vision. I really enjoyed Christian Bale's take on the Legend with Christopher Nolan. When I first heard that Robert was going to play Bruce/Batman I knew as an actor that he could handle it, just wasn't 100% sure about his size, but he definitely "knocked it out the park"the world building and character's is top tier and the visuals and the sounds especially the little subtle sounds. Overall awesome "year 2" Batman, where you can see that Bruce is 100% invested in being Batman more than being the playboy millionaire Bruce.... just was awesome seeing this story unfold.

I really didn't like the Batman when I first saw it I didn't understand it I thought Batman was scrawny and it was just long for no reason and little by little I would see things on TH-cam that gave it a little clarity here and there, but when Colin Farrell's, the penguin came out, it changed everything then I understood but you the creator of this content unlike everyone else you really get it and you explain it to lay people that didn't go to film school that don't always get movies. a lot of us watch movies and we think of movie is good or we think movies bad but we never really understand the movie. I'm thinking that some movies if you truly understand them, movies that you thought were really good movies if you really knew what the movie was about you might think the movie's crap, vice versa a movie that you thought was really really bad you didn't understand it a lot of times and when you start to understand it or once it's explained and you go back and watch it again then you get this aha moment where the light comes on in your brain. same thing with books you read a book when you were younger you didn't really understand it you were like this is crap but then as you get older or you read a synopsis of it and you go back and reread it you're like well this is brilliant. anyway I'm just saying that this video and this movie is so well done I can't thank you enough I am watching this on October 24th 2004 and it made my whole night like I am so entertained but more importantly I am enlightened I feel like I'm in on something now, thank you

Just started the video, and the coincidence is insane: i watched the batman when it came out, hadn’t seen it again until a few days ago, when I realized “wow I did not get this the first time around”
It's my fav Batman film 🎥 even over Nolans. It's the look and tone I have been waiting years for. And the MCU to me now is average. Because this is a work of art!

What an incredible video! If I could point out just one misconception (encouraged by the movie's own marketing), it would be calling what's left of Bruce Wayne Batman. I would call him The Vengeance, referencing the clapper board used during filming and how he sees himself(Obviously you got it buuut i think it would be a nice tweak to the text). It's only at the end of the movie that we see the character realize that he needs to be much more if he wants to have any positive impact (learning Spanish is the first step, I would say hahaha).
My only issues with this movie was the pacing of certain scenes and the transitions that felt kind of choppy, but other than that it’s the best pure batman film ever
I thought pacing was great IMO for what this movie was trying to be, only problem movie had was last 15-20 minutes. I don't think that part was necessary at all.

I saw this the day it came out in Melbourne, Australia and for some reason there was only 3 people in the cinema including myself. At the end of the film the old bloke at the back stands up and shouts “that was bloody good wasn’t it?!”. Great movie. All round. My favorite part though is definitely Colin Farrel is Penguin. Absolutely stole the show.

I watched in standard and imax and hands down the sound in imax was miles better, seats were vibrating to the revs and the sound hit your chest

My favorite Batman scene from any of the movies is when vengeance dies, and Batman is symbolically reborn, almost like a baptism through the death of vengeance. It's such a powerful scene, especially with the red flare and all.

it was so naive. Firstly, it ruins the premise of neo-noir movie where it should end on a bitter note and show that humanity is flawed. Second thing: it comes like out of nowhere. There is no problem in comics that Batman is a symbol of vengeance and nothing wrong with that, but they showed in the movie him changing and helping citiziens like some kind of fireman. That's not Batman from the comics. Generally the movie is too naive to be considered neo-noir or a serious take, not with Bruce Wayne writing a diary like a 15yo that he's not hiding in the shadows but he is the shadows. ROTFL

We can joke but this for me was one of best movies i have seen in decade. Nothing topped the atmosphere, cinematography and audio of this movie.

I like the detail that you mentioned about bruce not being able to look at riddler until he realized that he didn't know that he was batman, and then he was able to look at him again. It's like all of his confidence is conjured up when he is batman but as soon as you take that away he becomes a kid. Really good take and nice video!
That's a terrible interpretation of that incident.
One of the things I found interesting is the amount of times Batman asks a question throughout the movie. And the fact that he ultimately loses at the end while taking alot of damage due to his inexperience. It made me realize how much the other movies portray him as an unstoppable force that never makes mistakes. I also like how Bruce Wayne is actually the alter ego in this interpretation.
He's not inexperienced, though. He's been fighting crime for 2 years. He's just not a veteran.
One of the best parts in the movie is when he jumps of the top of the police precinct and he botches the landing bad ASF 😂😂😂 you better believe he upgraded that flying squirrel pack to a cape that he can glide with real practice. Just a awesome movie he is not perfect at all he is so green it's way more realistic and the city was spot on!!!...

Bruce Wayne being the mask and Batman being the true identity is, like... the whole point. And Bruce is not an alter ego in this movie. Batman hasn't developed the Bruce Wayne persona yet. At the funeral, he basically just acts like Batman but without the suit. He doesn't even cower when everyone else does. He's not good at acting human yet.

I fangirled so hard when the Batmobile shook the theatre, its sheer intensity and its menacing presence obscured in darkness just to fill that void with its raging fire was so fucking awesome.
This is one of my favourite films of recent times, I remember seeing it in cinemas for the first time and for some reason just being in awe at the scene with the red flare. In such a gritty film the use of colour is much more impactful imo.
The scene where he rises up after beating up the first thug is amazing also the Riddler was super funny hes supposed to be creepy but I laugh so hard when he goes off

It’s a mediocre film. Probably right in the middle of all the Batman films.
I was mocked endlessly for telling people in advance how good this was going to be. The director's work on "Let Me In" told me that this movie was going to be an incredibly visceral Batman film. People mocked me for saying Robert Pattinson was going to be a great Batman... but he had already proven himself to me MUCH more than his twilight role with films like 'Good Time', 'High Life' and 'The Lighthouse'. It felt like the WB animated series. The impossible was made possible. In order to ground Batman in reality, it had to be shown that Bruce is essentially Batshit crazy. Pattinson looked absolutely unhinged in the Batsuit with the dead eyes he gave in his performance.

I used to trash this movie, I thought it was vastly overrated when it came out in theaters. I was the same as you, only now I had the feeling i needed to revisit this film. It is simple not a film for theaters, it deserves a more intimate experience at the darkness of your own room, headphones on 100%. Thank you for encapsulating all of that.

Saw this movie in imax. When I walked into the theater, they told me that the ac is broken, 90 degrees in there, so I can get a refund if I want. Walked in and the theater was packed. Everybody was hot and sweaty but it was worth it.

This movie came out at the lowest point in my life and genuinely kept me going. Batman was my childhood hero and his speech about hope in this movie, combined with him rescuing everyone in the flood, motivated me to keep going. I'll cherish this film because of that.
Andrew Garfield is the only Spider-Man you can see through the mask. I.E the bridge scene in TASM. Great vid bro. The best Batman I've ever seen.

I've watched this movie about 7 times since its release, I loved it the first time i watched it and will always love it, I think one of the biggest reasons for its success is because it makes Batman seem like a realistic character, like if you could get enough money and enough training, YOU could actually be Batman. The cherry on top is their decision to make Bruce Wayne this depressed emo kid, which honestly just made him more relatable to a lot of young males, and it brought about a lot of memes. So the fact that Batman is someone you think you could be and Bruce Wayne is someone you already are, it justs hits home and feels extremely personal. Oh and the casting of Zoe Kravitz was spot on, as far as the male gaze goes

I dont care about batman, but i watched this one recently and i'm obsessed, its easily now one of my favourite films.. such a deep emotional film with great character development, POV shots and awesome scenes like the bat-mobile for example ..
I didn’t expect this to be something I’d thrown on the tv often just to have something in the background. It’s blown my mind how the more you engage w this story/mystery/conspiracy, the more you’re rewarded. The attention to detail in creating this world is astounding, and reading Paul Dano’s Riddler comic as well as watching the Penguin HBO show, just enriches your appreciation for the world Reeves has created. I have zero interest in this Batman joining a wider DC movie universe; keep it in house with a tight lid, this thing is gold by itself.

Completely agree. My favorite superhero of all time is Daredevil. My favorite comic book cinema of all time is the Daredevil series, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Batman. Nothing will ever top them, probably. The Penguin is phenomenal though and i can't wait for The Batman Part II.
I know how this movie is already a masterpiece, but the fact that the penguin spinoff is as good as it is blows my mind. Like it’s not perfect but oh my is it probably one of the better tv shows I have seen come out in recent years.
The fact that batman actually gets hits from punches, weapons and guns and bullets, you feel the impact on his body and then he still keeps fighting and tanks it like a chad is what made it so great for me.

The Batman is a comic book masterpiece that captured the world of Batman perfectly. I love how tortured Robert Pattinson's Batman is. People forget that Bruce is a tortured character. The playboy billionaire thing is just an act. For the first time in live action we see the real Bruce Wayne. Also I love that Batman actually develops as a character in this movie. Usually in the movies Bruce Wayne gets all the development and Batman is just a background character. I love that Batman is front and center the entire movie. This movie is fantastic.
You're being pretty bias considering how Christian Bale did a good job of showing how much of a tortured character Bruce Wayne is in Batman Begins and how through the league of shadows he finds purpose.

The Batman was an incredibly immersive and visually stunning movie, the most realistic I've seen in theaters. The 2D experience was better than even the 3D of Avatar: The Way of Water. Movies like The Batman, John Wick Chapter 4, and Dune Part 2 are rare because they target mature audiences and make less money compared to mainstream blockbusters.
Just look at the numbers:
- The Batman: $772 million (should've hit $1 billion)
- Dune Part 2: $714 million (deserved $1.2+ billion) - The LOTR Experience
- John Wick 4: $440 million (should've made atleast $700 million)
But these movies are pulling in the big bucks:
- Jurassic World Dominion: $1 billion
- Doctor Strange 2: $955 million
- Deadpool and Wolverine: $1.33 billion
- Inside Out 2: $1.69 billion (Crazy isn't that?)
- Spiderman No Way Home: $1.91 billion
So, we might rarely get these amazing movies for mature audiences in the future.
Those last 5 movies you listed are all nostalgia bait movies as-well except maybe inside out 2 since idk I haven't seen it. Goes to show that a lot of people don't even want to take a chance on a great movie which is outside their comfort zone, which is funny because those first 3 movies are not exactly not mainstream either, they are just on the better side of what blockbusters should be in terms of quality.
these movies are kinda like an investment, the batman universe that will be created will bring more money in the future, flashy movies just get hyped by the monkeys and bring more money to the table but have no future value. think how much rewatchability the batman has in comparison to spiderman homecoming for example.

What bothers me most about the fans is that some REFUSE to give this movie credit simply because they're scared it'll be liked more than the Nolan trilogy, and that is just sad. This movie to me captures the true essence of the Batman the best. Sure the movie isn't a superhero peice like TDK, and it isn't as fantastical as the Keaton films, but this movies truly feels like the Arkham games.

This movie is a visual masterpiece. It’s my favorite comic book movie, ever. You can think the dark knight is a better movie or has a better story, but when it comes to immersion, cinematography, fight scenes, and pretty much everything about the visuals, this movie is like a hydrogen bomb while the dark knight is like a coughing baby. Gotham actually feels like Gotham. And now that the penguin is out and fucking amazing, this world is only getting better

It’s aging very well I know it’s not perfect but it’s damn close and it’s a sleeper hit it gets better the more you watch it.The cinematography is excellent and aesthetically pleasing, the acting and the character development is genius especially Robert Pattison’s performance and the world building of Gotham is excellent.
The films weaknesses are clearly studio interference but I’m sure they will let Matt Reeves cook for the sequel.
I think the thing that made this movie was Robert Pattinsons commitment to wearing the batsuit. All the footage of Bruce Wayne we saw in the trailers truly were the only times, aside from maybe like one or two scenes, where he was actually Bruce Wayne. The majority of the time he was wearing that cape and cowl. He truly melted into that character. Even in this movie, the true identity of Bruce has always been debated on “who is the REAL mask” and I don’t think that would’ve sold if he didn’t wear the suit as much as he did.
Prince of Gotham during the day and Dark Knight during the night. Bruce Wayne “sleeps” during night while Batman “sleeps” during the day. Batman is the blanket that helps Bruce Wayne “sleep” at night.

The Riddlers glasses were inspired by one of the first ever movie adaptations of the Riddler. The Batmobile itself was designed by render artist ashthorp, who previously worked on brutalist (vehicle) designs that perfectly fit the gotham aesthetic. It all just ties in together so well

Reeves & co really put their soul into not just this film, but the universe they’re building around it. Makes me even more excited we’ll probably be getting AT LEAST one trilogy.

Michael Keaton is my Batman, for the nostalgia and I grew up on his and Tim Burton's vision. I really enjoyed Christian Bale's take on the Legend with Christopher Nolan. When I first heard that Robert was going to play Bruce/Batman I knew as an actor that he could handle it, just wasn't 100% sure about his size, but he definitely "knocked it out the park"the world building and character's is top tier and the visuals and the sounds especially the little subtle sounds. Overall awesome "year 2" Batman, where you can see that Bruce is 100% invested in being Batman more than being the playboy millionaire Bruce.... just was awesome seeing this story unfold.

I really didn't like the Batman when I first saw it I didn't understand it I thought Batman was scrawny and it was just long for no reason and little by little I would see things on TH-cam that gave it a little clarity here and there, but when Colin Farrell's, the penguin came out, it changed everything then I understood but you the creator of this content unlike everyone else you really get it and you explain it to lay people that didn't go to film school that don't always get movies. a lot of us watch movies and we think of movie is good or we think movies bad but we never really understand the movie. I'm thinking that some movies if you truly understand them, movies that you thought were really good movies if you really knew what the movie was about you might think the movie's crap, vice versa a movie that you thought was really really bad you didn't understand it a lot of times and when you start to understand it or once it's explained and you go back and watch it again then you get this aha moment where the light comes on in your brain. same thing with books you read a book when you were younger you didn't really understand it you were like this is crap but then as you get older or you read a synopsis of it and you go back and reread it you're like well this is brilliant. anyway I'm just saying that this video and this movie is so well done I can't thank you enough I am watching this on October 24th 2004 and it made my whole night like I am so entertained but more importantly I am enlightened I feel like I'm in on something now, thank you

What an incredible video! If I could point out just one misconception (encouraged by the movie's own marketing), it would be calling what's left of Bruce Wayne Batman. I would call him The Vengeance, referencing the clapper board used during filming and how he sees himself(Obviously you got it buuut i think it would be a nice tweak to the text). It's only at the end of the movie that we see the character realize that he needs to be much more if he wants to have any positive impact (learning Spanish is the first step, I would say hahaha).

My only issues with this movie was the pacing of certain scenes and the transitions that felt kind of choppy, but other than that it’s the best pure batman film ever
I thought pacing was great IMO for what this movie was trying to be, only problem movie had was last 15-20 minutes. I don't think that part was necessary at all.

I saw this the day it came out in Melbourne, Australia and for some reason there was only 3 people in the cinema including myself. At the end of the film the old bloke at the back stands up and shouts “that was bloody good wasn’t it?!”.
