Thank you Soo much for sharing this video of how to do the fluffy banquet. You explain step by step how you do it. I want to make one myself since I saw another video but it looks kind of complicated. You explain every step clearly. Hopefully whenever I got money I'm gonna get some yarn. What about how many yarn I need for a queen size bed?
Thank you soooo much, I’m making a blanket and this was so helpful ❤
I'm so glad it was helpful!!!
This is a great tutorial - planning to try and make these as Christmas gifts! Quick question - if you want to get fancy and change colors do you just knot your two colors together and keep going? And just hide the tail formed by the knot somehow?
Vielen Dank , super gezeigt.
I can not manage to get the second row going 😭😭 my brain isn’t comprehending
Same i always get sooooo stressed with this stuff 😭😭😭😭 im still on the first slip knot thing and its been an hour or 2 😭😭😭😭😭😭 maybe i shouldn’t be doing this as someone with ADHD…
Hi! Sorry for my late response! I have been having some health issues! Anyway let me see if I can help you get past this point! Would you be interested in hoping on a live and see if we can get it figured out?
You can do it! ADHD is challenging, both my sons have been diagnosed! Maybe I could schedule a live for everyone to come and ask questions in real time!
The same way you start it the loop at the top you put the string where the o push the string through the loop holes nothing changes until after the 5 or the 6 row instead of pushing the string back push the string forward to you so you get a different pattern and the the l blanket don’t curl up on you and easy to miss the loop if that make sense and you have instructions on the wrapper on the yarn as well if you didn’t know it’s easier this way then using the sticks and yarn
Would love to see the entire video.
It’s hard to do the blanket for me dose the blanket take a day to make because I’m a kid so I have no patience!!! But the blanket looks great and I want one for me so.😅
Lol! I can make one in just a couple hours so a day or so is definitely possible!
Full video please! Thank you!
Thank you veerrryy muchh!!!!!!!!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for helping me make my own blanket but did I miss something? What are we supposed to do with th tail part is it supposed to be there? Thanks anyway I love making chunky knit blankets now all thanks to this video that I started off from 🙂
Yay! I'm so glad it was helpful! You can weave the tail into the body of the blanket! I have a full tutorial video that you could skip to the ending to see how i do it :)
Thank you 😁
thank you, so much!!!
My pleasure!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Do you have a place where I can look how many yards it’s needed to make a chunky blanket? I would love to learn to make one for my daughter’s birthday.
Thank u so much
You are very welcome!
I have a question I ran out of yarn and any advice on how I am able to finish it without buying another bulk??? Please advise me
are you using the middle or the top loop? Some of them show you use the middle loop that’s why I want to know it’s confusing so let me know which one you are using the top loop middle loop or the bottom everyone needs to know cause everyone show a different. Thank you.
When I start my first row after the initial foundation chain I work into the top of the chain, or top of the loop. I have seen some people start into the back bump/middle loop, and that absolutely works as well, I think it is really just a personal preference. Hope that helps!
I have the same kind of yarn sep for it's pink white purple
You should definitely try a throw!
Hi I’m watching ur video and I’m trying to figure out y as the higher I go up the blanket looks like it’s starting to flare out, am I doing something wrong
Yes full tutorial :)
You can find a full tutorial here... th-cam.com/video/Tb9pNWkgGJo/w-d-xo.html
Good teacher
Thank you! 😃
I’m not a lady but thanks for the info
Lol...sorry :) I was thinking specifically of the ladies that attended my class! I hope the info was helpful!
How long do you need to make it for a blanket ?
I make my beginning chain about 40" long and make rows until it's about 60" long.
Hello could this pattern and technique be used to make a cardigan?
I definitely think a cardigan is possible! There might be a pattern out there already if you search Pinterest or Etsy! It sounds like a super cozy project. I might be able to create a pattern myself.
Tysm! You got a new subscriber!
Yay! Thank you 😊
How much yarn and how chunky is it supposed to be?
How many do we need to chain for blanket? Will be my first try at this
I actually uploaded a full tutorial with all the details!
It's a jumbo #7 yarn and I use about 5 skeins of Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss for a throw
Why is mine so tight and its twisting???
mine too
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Have you used a lumen to make these blankets?
I'm not quite sure what you mean. These blankets are made with just your hands!
how do u wash your blankets can they go in the washer
Your yarn label should have care instructions listed on it, but typically, I wash in cold on gentle cycle and lay flat to dry.
Peut on faire pareil avec une laine plus fine ?
I’ve seen videos where they flip over each row. Have you seen that.
No, I have not! That would definitely change the look...could be cool.
Is it normal that it start curling up?
You will definitely notice curling especially at the beginning but that should work itself out as you progress. Did it flatten out for you as you continued working?
What size and type of yarn do I use?
I use Hobby Lobby's Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss which is a #7 Jumbo yarn :)
I just got one of these but part of the middle came undone. Does anyone know how to fix it so i do not have to take it apart 😞 im not sure how to add a picture
I really need to see what happened in order to give you good advice!
@bluedoorbarncrochet I appreciate that you could maybe help. How can I get a picture to you?
It won't let me add a photo on here 😞 so just tell me how to get in touch and I can take a better photo after work around 7pm eastern time 😞
You could message me on instagram:)
@@bluedoorbarncrochet sounds good. Is it the same username??
I dont know what im doing wrong. This will be the 6th half done blanket im going to rip out! Some how it get wider as i go.
Hmmmm...it will definitely get wider than the first foundation row as that row is typically tighter. I wonder if it's more than just that?
I need to do my blanket standing or sitting at my kitchen island so the entire width is flat like the video. If I try and do it on the couch I get mixed up, adding a loop at the end of each row or a loop comes undone and I don’t notice
@@ivegotthis8301 I definitely prefer to sit at my table! I can't imagine what chaos would ensue if i tried to make one on the couch...lol
How can I change the color mid way or add in another skein after I finish the first one?
Hi! I have a video on that! th-cam.com/video/LeL86G9TQAI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dV8DzPDkM2h2PfB4
Got it! ❤
Yay! I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier today! What was happening, you figured it out? Let me know if i can still help.
I need to know how to make this
? The video has just told you!
Am I going to have to waist all my yarn to make a blanket for me?😢
I mean I would because they are soooooo cozy! Lol!
Depends on how big of a blanket you’re trying to make!
Ladys ... :0
As soon as she said hey ladies I stooped the video. A little sexist
This video was made specifically as a follow-up to one of my in person classes with only ladies in attendance. I was addressing them directly, and honesty didn't think it would even get other viewers. It was never meant to offend, and perhaps you could dial down your sensitivity a bit.
Ok sorry
Can you go slower please ma am
Hi! You might want to check out my full tutorial and see if tha helps! If not let me know and we can get it figured out!

It’s like making a horse shoe knot first to start it then grab it from the middle and pull to get another knot 🪢 like that continue grabbing it from the middle and pull it supposed to look like that knot but the knot gone look like a braid then you know u doing it right if that make sense to you then after you make your row to 5th row or 6 row instead of going back pull it from the front to get a different pattern and so it won’t curl up on you, but if you go from the back way it will curly up on you but you make miss loops because you will pull the knots tighter is why it won’t stay flat or straight just a curl up funny looking tight shape
