For the supplies, there is the primer, and then the paint (is that the chalk paint, and after it dried you added another coat with the dry brush technique?), and then did you not show applying the sealer? Is that just a clear protective coat, and if so does it NOT interfere with the weathered look once the chalk paint is totally dry?

The sealer doesn't affect the chalk paint at all.
