Love the cabinet. I like distressed if its distressed from being old. I think im not. A distress fan anymore cause i have seen so much of it. Not trying to be negative. I sometimes use a kitchen sponge to paint wire.

I have this style furniture in my bedroom and my desk has those same doors.I can't watch you ruin this with paint.I heart breaks each time I see old furniture painted cause it can never be brought back to original wood tone.

One trick when painting grates like that, if you spray paint them first, both sides, then you can do the white later.
Don't like the distressed part, but love the white color and black handles.
