    What would we do without you?! It’s like you’re reading my mind. Thanks Ben. I’m getting way more sales than FB suggest the ads are generating, and I’m running Ads in specific locations (Aus, Europe etc) so I know the ads are performing well, but the data doesn’t look as strong.

    You are spot on, this whole argument was discussed to me by a Facebook Marketing Expert Manager, but he suggested to create one campaign with one asset with the most you can invest. All the eggs in one "basket".

      @@BenHeath I absolutely agree with you, but my campaigns keep dropping performance, and at this point I’m spending $1,000 per day for one campaign to try to get out of the learning phase. Following marketing experts advice.

    Correct me if im wrong... but if you select a longer attribution setting (such as "7-day click") for the purpose seeing more real data and less modeled data, you inadvertently tell the FB algorithm to optimize for people who take longer the convert, as opposed who those who convert in one day. So depending on your business, it's better to select the attribution setting that best suites your audience's behavior, and simply wait longer for that data to come in.

      @@matthewnovik4050 from what I’m hearing, you will need to set up pixel through google tag manager to help Facebook track conversions better 🥴

    Because I've been facing same issue on my messaging campaign. The data looks a lot lesser than i actually received, and it seems like no a delay but missing.
    Is that normal to see? Should I pause and restart my campaign to solve this issue?

    Is the delay in reporting still a thing in 2024? Like day or more to see results show up in Ads Manager.
    Unless I've set up CAPI incorrectly - highly unlikely as I've tested and retested - I'd say 'yes'. I'm getting leads but none are showing up in ads manager reporting.

    Hi Ben. What do you do when your Ads Manager does not show the Conversions in my Conversions Campaign? Last month it ran great and was showing Conversions from my leads and now this month it does not show up at all? Does your company help individuals such as myself with problems like this? Thank you.

      @@BenHeath I did have a professional like yourself set up the Aggregated Event Measurements so I know it is correct. The Ads Manager read results just fine in August but when I started advertising in Sept. it did not show one conversion in my Ads Manager? Do you know of anyone who can help me get this figured out? Thanks.

    Data delayed aside, I'm seeing inaccurate data from FB ad manager - lesser purchases than actual followed by 2 weeks of zero purchases (which is more than enough to offset the delay) and total purchases are still incorrect. Btw, I have events priority and conversion API setup.

      So even aside from the reporting delay - there is still the lost data from the iOS 14 users - it sounds like that's what you are seeing.

      No because that all takes place in-app - the reporting delay applies primarily to web events.

    When I close my mobile app ad, there're still conversions (in-app purchase) and installations after days. How to explain this phenomenon? How does facebook attribute conversion date? by the purchase date or the date user clicked the ads? Thank you.

      Yes that's right - people can convert after the fact and it show up in your ad account. The default is 7 day attribution.

      @@BenHeath Thanks for your reply. Let's say, if one clicks the ad and installs the app on 1th, Sep. And I close this ad on 2th, Sep. He makes a purchase on 4th, Sep. Facebook will attribute this purchase conversion to 1th, Sep or 4th, Sep? Shouldn't it be counted as 1th, Sep?

      No I wouldn't recommend that - you'll lose a lot of the learning that has already taken place.

    Hi, thanks for the video. If the event is showing in events manager should it also be showing in ads manager, or would there still be a delay even if it's showing in events manager? I have events showing in events manager that came through the same time they happened in shopify, but they're not showing in ads manager yet. Is that normal? Thanks a lot for the help

      You are very welcome :)
      Events will show in Events Manager whether they come from a Facebook ad or not. They will only show up in Ads Manager if they came from a Facebook ad. That could be the reason why - it could also be the reporting delay - if you know the events have come from Facebook ads.

      @@BenHeath Thanks a lot for the reply. It's showing in shopify that the sale came from facebook. I'm guessing that would just be the reporting delay then? Although I did just this minute have another sale that showed up straight away in ads manager correctly. So confusing :O

    Hi Ben,
    Thank you for the video pointing out some important points. If you do want to uninstall and reinstall the pixel, do you mean uninstall and reinstall it from your website (shopify platform in my case)? To uninstall and reinstall do you simply turn off Data Sharing in the Shopify Facebook Channel for a period of time and then turn it back on? Or do I physically need to delete the code from my site (which is more complicated). Is there a video on this way if this is required? Or documentation from Facebook?

      Hi Jan,
      Yes from your website is what I am referring to. I don't a video on it. But often uninstalling the plugin (or removing the Pixel ID from certain platforms) will do it.

    Hi Ben! I’m also experiencing data reporting delay and noticed that as the missing conversions from day 1 show up at around 5th or 6th day, the ad campaign doesn’t perform too well :( Is this normal? And what do you suggest I should do? Thanks.

      It's certainly normal during that time period - you have to discount that timeframe from your analysis.

    Hi Ben Thank you for this great video ! I run thru play campaign and get thousands video views of 75% watch video. But when I want to create custom audience from it, the number of video views is only less from 10 . I've been waiting for 7 days but it still < 7. Is this reporting delay from facebook?

      Facebook doesn't make it available all the time - if you check back, it may well reappear.

    Why not just compare to shopify dashboard results?

      That will give you more accurate data but you want as accurate data as possible to be in your Facebook ad account as that will allow Facebook to optimise your campaign better.
