Hey Ben - is it worthwhile checking in on ads every day or so and turning off the bad performers when you have a conversion campaign with the pixel/conversions API turned on? I tend to wait 10 days before changing things as you recommend. Surely Meta's AI knows when to push/remove budget from the poor performers by this stage without us interfering??
Hi Ben, I want to make sure I understand this correctly. I have some past experience running facebook ads, in 2020, so I understand basic funnel structure and retargeting. However, I have a brand new ads account, for a new page, with no data. This is for a local transportation business with an 8-mile target area. Funnel structure is AD > LANDING PAGE ORDER FORM > CONFIRMATION PAGE (upon submit.) At which point, I compile info from the form and send an invoice to transact business. I have custom conversions setup for the form view content, and for the confirmation page view content- I also have the "submit" button push setup for "Leads." Are you saying that I should, from the get go, set my conversion objective to confirmation page views to teach the AI to snoop out people most likely to complete the form? Or should I stick with a top of funnel conversion (form views) and then retarget click-throughs with a retargeting ad for form completion?
Hey Ben, enjoy the content! Regarding the traffic campaigns. I am using a new ad account (from an agency) but I am still using my old pixel which has maybe 35 conversions under its belt. I had a call with Meta a few days ago and asked for their advice on how to test new products, they indeed suggested running traffic campaigns for 2 weeks first and then create an advantage+ sales campaign. Which according to them is their best learning model for low ticket sales. I would love to hear what you think of this.. because I am literally about to launch 4 campaigns with traffic objective in order to gather data and learn which creatives I shouldn’t use.. I am doing this so I can understand which products I should focus on for the incoming demand due to summer.. Would love to hear your feedback, sorry for the lengthy message 😅
I think a traffic campaign is a great way to gather data of people who will visit your website and then just leave without even seeing what you have to offer. It won’t exactly appeal to people who are in the process of purchasing. I suggest targeting a higher intent objective such as video views, or landing page views
Hey Ben that video is helpful, I've been also following this setup. I'm setting up a lead gen campaign for my solar panel business using instant forms. I'm getting good click numbers, but not many leads are actually filling out the form. I'm showcasing everything upfront in the creatives, figuring highly interested people would convert. Is there anything else I can do to improve the conversion rate on the form itself?
It's hard to give a definite answer, but it's not too hard for you to figure it out yourself. Try A/B testing with 2 cases. With detailed upfront or not. If the difference is not significant, maybe the bottle neck is somewhere else. Testing is the key mate.
Try creating a separate ad that links to a landing page that focuses on their painpoints and benefits, place a pixel on this landing page and create an 'omni-presence' ad campaign that Ben also has a video on. That way, you can nurture people who showed an interest in your offer but didn't necessarily take an action straight away. The omni-presence campaign will slowly build brand recognition with these people and is likely to convert them over a period of time. Alternatively, you could create a free guide for purchasing solar panels eg '5 Things Your Must Do When Looking to Buy Solar Panels' and offer it in exchange for their email and name and then use automated email marketing to do the same as above 'nurture' them towards booking a consultation with you or whatever your first step is.
Hey, I have a product running for a month, I have now tested a CBO with 400€ spend with 3x adsets with flexible ADs, since 4 days the ads are already online and they run really bad, inside are partly winner ads and new ones, another CBO has constant 3-5 roas even partly, is 400€ at the beginning just too much? I can't explain it,
Question! As an ad agency, do you run Facebook ads on your clients ad account or do you run all your clients ads inside your agencies own ad account? How do you suggest an agency piece together those components?
Would you recommend going for warm/hot traffic that's more likely to convert straight away with a new ad account? Or also ok to go for listicles and pre-sale pages, which is way colder traffic? After watching your video I should say it's a good idea to focus on warm traffic in the beginning, isn't it?
Cold means they’ve never heard of you or the business Warm is when they may know you either from an email you sent before or they showed slight interest before
Hey Ben. My product is a digital product and can easily be scaled to the entire of US, UK, AUS etc. this creates a pretty large audience of 200 million + Would you recommend only focusing your location targeting on say a randomly select few of US states rather than the entirety of the US? That way smaller audience sizes will help optimise better then the audience can be scaled..
Not Ben, but in my experience you're better off going global if using sales campaigns. Sometimes you get your best sales from unexpected places (e.g. The Philippines).
don't start with link clicks campaign or engagement, focus on conversions & leads, nothing else. 1. Don’t use open targeting 2. Don’t start with advantage + shopping 3. Reduce number of Variables 4. Start small, scale from there
What would you do with a complete new ad account on a complete new brand? Everyone says purchase as conversion event is the best but we tried it properly and we get CPM's of 30-50€ on all ads and we have open targeting. Even with a more specific interest (Fashion) which has 1.3 billion audience size gives as such high CPM's. Is it possible we have to start lower? Link clicks > View content > ATC > IC > purchase ? Would be great if you could help us.
I would go for purchase, you will see a higher cpm but that’s to be expected because it costs more to advertise to people that are more likely to buy. You can reduce your cpm with a different set up but you’ll most likely increase your cost per purchase, which is more important.
Hi Ben! Very curious to get your thoughts here. How effective do you find your tactic of running detailed Lead campaigns in Learning mode vs. focusing on filling up custom audiences with Thruplays, and then retargeting these audiences with mini educational series of quality content. I have found this to be helpful in order to build momentum on accounts and then adding in an opt-in offer at the end.
Hi Ben, this is probably not the best place to post this question, but here I go. Am I right in thinking that you can't do carousels in Audience Advantage +? Also, If I'm not selling anything online (say for example, a Mack Truck) but want pageviews, aren't pageviews ok? It seems like you don't like pageviews.
is it smart to submit a few safe ads to make sure they don't get rejected by facebook in the beginning, and then to slowly warm up the account? or can you just start testing hypothesis right away?
Is it based on the ad account or the pixel/dataset? Im running many different businesses ads in each ad account. Does this matter? I always figured it was based on the pixel
Great video Ben! I have a question,in the video as example you have 2 audience with their creative inside then what you do when implementing new creatives, you add new creatives inside the existing one ad set or do you create a new one ? ( I test only broad atm)
The history is stored at the ad set level, so if a particular ad concept is working, then you need to iterate on the same concept. And you do that by adding the similar ads in the same ad set, which also helps in dealing with ad fatigue. However, if you're testing an entirely new concept/ad angle, then it's recommended to create a different ABO ad set, and test those new creatives in that.
If data of the learning phase is based on ad sets and each change to a ad sets deleted all the data and resets the learning phase then why does it matter if the ad account has thousands of data?? Where does facebook says they use data of the whole ad account bc all they mentiob is that they use the data of each single ad set for itself (learning phase) !
I would like to ask if I want my customer to chat with me about my product in messenger. What is the best way of selecting campaign and optimize it? Normally, I use engagement and then select message. Is this a correct method? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you

Hey ben. Just curious. Im helping a dating coach in Malaysia to create her first digital product. But I'm curious tho , if the product is " 37 Ways to get the conversation starts when you match! " targeted towards people that uses dating apps. would those ads be okay on facebook ? i understand the restrictions base on the nudity or dating apps related ads that promote the app. but would my ads be okay if my messaging is directed to people that are using the apps that want to get their conversation better .
It's really, really depressing when an ad account / pixel that used to perform well, all of a sudden doesn't even indicate that the ads are showing to people. Maybe they only show to ghosts. ONLY the impression + amount spent go up, nothing else. I mean my ads didn't suddenly become super terrible to the point it doesn't get even a casual like or post save at $10 per ad set, for example. Damn, Facebook is tough. Tough to reach the customer service, tough to get a refund for money that went to the wind, tough to fix issues. Oh well.
Ad accounts don't get restricted because they aren't warmed up, they get restricted when rules are either broken or perceived to have been broken. Yes warming up and ad account is a thing and ad account perform better over time as they learn.
Thank you Ben for all this!!! It´s amazingly important. I have one question: does pausing one ad in a campaign, affect the others performing? Does Meta interpret it as editing and send the campaign to the learning phase? Thank you again
Happy to help :) Yes it can do, but most of the time won't send an ad set back into the learning phase. Either way it's still worth turning off underperforming ads.

exactly and agree on what you shared. But now Meta keep telling people can directly use conversion objectives instead of running step by step to build the audience and machine learning part, are they trying to fool people and earn the easy money instead of helping people grow their business?
Hi. The video suggests to go straight into Conversion objectives instead of Traffic or Clicks. Do you mean Meta also suggests this kind of approach? Do we really need to start first from Awareness, Traffic, etc before choosing Conversion objective?

Since my BM has been restricted so I create new one with new ad account and new Facebook page but I kept my list customers and vídeos vues and instag audience. So does it help the new account to create a looklike compaign to have an idea about my customers instead of going board as first compaign in this new account?
If an account or pixel is trained incorrectly over a year or two, is it a bad idea to just start over with a new account and or pixel?
No, we've done that for clients before :)
@BenHeath thanks for all the tips and useful information.
The targeting strategy applies every time we create a new campaign with a very different product ? For example in a different niche ? Thanks!
Please tell me what should i do Im having very wired issue with my new ad account my ads are not getting into learning phase it just go into active mood its been 3 week 0% spend on learning phase even my business manager is new brand is new and new website and social media profiles i even tried to run ads on that page from my other ad accounts but issue still presist i tried many things like changing location for ads but still not getting into learning phase and sales are 0 im onky running sales campaigns
I just created a brand new fb profile brand new fb page and brand new business manager what measures need to take care before running 1st ad so it won't get banned pls explain and next one is can we directly run leads or sales campaign or should go with awareness campaign
Why my fb ads playing more in outside area then the targeted area ?and i am doing open targeting.
and can you give me idea for small medical clinic how to target right audience sir?
Is link clicks best for sales links that are 3rd party links you can’t track?
Yes I'd say so :)
When I choose only WhatsApp destination in my adset my detailed targeting option not showing can anyone help me ?
Me too
Oh well.
I've been experiencing this for the past 3 weeks now 😢😢
What about warming up your ad account? Isnt that still a thing? just a year ago, I kept getting my account restricted because it wasnt warmed up.
Happy to help :)
Yes it can do, but most of the time won't send an ad set back into the learning phase. Either way it's still worth turning off underperforming ads.
acording to this if I sell women products and then try to sell car products for men in the same website with the same pixel would be a very bad idea?
Yes I wouldn't recommend that.
@@BenHeath What if I use a different pixel for each niche?
Yes you should use a different pixel (you can split your pixel with an app like Omega FB Pixel… etc)
I have created a new ad manager account.
How to best structures campaign in a new ad account?
bruv watch the video lol
Hi Ben! How long do you recommend running the campaign to warm up the new account?
Before starting the conversion sales campaign in broad?
Thank you
Tony
hello
thanks for this Info Ben! Abosulutely helpfull advice for newbies like me, what wou you sugest for new ad accounts should we go targeting or broad?
As he mentioned the best to give Meta direction by using hybrid btw suggestions and detailed targeting, mean advantage audience plus suggestions
Hey Sir!
i was trying to create meta business manager account. and at the very first my account is restricted so clicked on the review request to verify my account but it was not working. i clicked again and again and whenever i am clicking the continue request its just showing that '' This Page Couldn't be loaded '' Kindly tell me the solution what should i do now?
Have you fixed the issue yet ?
You've got good Biceps Ben 💪🏻
You should make workout videos too. 😂

As long as you follow the rules, you should be fine :)
I have been running ads to my Instagram page using my Facebook account but the ad account has been under my personal profile . Would it be wise to crate a new ad account for my page and start running ads there? Would Facebook be able to get the ad data from previous ads on the other ad account.
I was planning to use my customs audiences from people who have booked or who have inquired or have engaged with this new ad account.
Thanks
I had same issue but thomethics helped me it can be so frustrated but thomethics will fix it for you he is a verified Meta agent

Traffic campaigns are good in the beginning to test ad creatives, and weeding-out bad creatives. This in turn will help any leads/sale campaign.
I'm not sure I agree to be honest.
but if i run sales campaign my creative also testing also goes their
Do you have a podcast? If not, you should.
Amazing new update sounds good 😊
hey now i realised that the ad account which a firm gave me has 70 campaigns .last month ad got many calls .but she said no sales .can u give me a tip plz
🙏 Thanks for the video. I have an Ebook to sell. I'm a beginner with very low budget to start and test (5€ per day for 7 days before scaling.) Is it worth starting with 5€ ? And should I use Lead or Traffic? Thanks for your help. 🙏🙏
Nice Content Bro. Much Love
exactly and agree on what you shared.
For the mentorship for beginners is that a paid service ? I’m a beginner on a low budget and I will start my ad campaign for my brand new store
It is yes :)
@@BenHeath how much does it cost ?
Can we use video views and traffic to give meta data
I would not recommend using Traffic except in rare circumstances.
@@BenHeath so you mean I shouldn't use traffic how do I now run from ad may get zero purchases
@@Kayodemotivation watch the video. Also traffic will also get you 0 purchases
Bro how many times u train ur biceps a week huh? (shoulders:(
My ads wouldnt run as conversion ad until i clicked landing page views :/ then it worked. Still no money made yet though
That sounds like a bizarre glitch. I'd try duplicating the campaign and trying again with the better optimisation.
@@BenHeath I watched another one of your videos and found it was because i hadnt set up conversion events etc. so that was very helpful. Sorted now. Hopefully I can bring in some sales.
Thank you Ben
thank you it helped me to understand
But any good account was a new one some day, so it is possible or is it not?
Yeah exactly, that’s the right attitude. Of course it’s possible
Is anyone seeing extremely high CPMs on their campaigns now with their new ad accounts? Even when I go broad I have 100+ dollars per 1000 impressions no matter what interests and targeting I choose, even when I go broad without any interests. And has anyone was able to solve this?
Great video man, thanks!!
Hi Ben, thanks for this. But it would be great if you could back your claims with some data/experiments/real life anecdotes..
thanks for this Info
Whenever i run ad on Facebook my WhatsApp ban
Lols same here
Excellent advice, thanks!
That running analogy is beautiful as someone who's fat and is getting into running hahaha
very useful thank you!
I CAN NOT FOCUS BECAUSE ALL I'M DOING IS LAUGHING.... PLEASE STOP!! UGH lol
Hi, thank you for the amazing contact. Could you please share information about client relationships, documents and reports we must have as a new agency?
Bro honestly just get to the point
If you are having difficulty just like I was mine us fixed @SmartEthics helped me out in fixing it
Why don’t start with LookLike Audience in a new account ?
Most people with a new ad account won't have a source audience you can use to create a lookalike audience.
pure saucee

Who's your editor? And may I hire them? Lol
@Aliofficalcom are you the one that edited this video? If not your comment is very disingenuous and amateur

It's a scam!! So run like a chicken,! Do not reply anymore !
The guidance is very generic. Maybe just a sales video. Video is far too long for general advice.
