Very kind, Richard - thank you. It’s Saturday morning here, so that means in about 15 minutes I’ll be sitting down with a delicious coffee to watch your video!! Favourite time of the week!
Amazing images Paul. I'm so thrilled you got your dream shit of the Aurora and windmill. I hope you get your lens fixed soon and get out and about shooting with it. There are such beautiful foreground subjects where you live. The 50mm timelapse was so sharp and crisp, what a splendid evening you had. Thank you again for a wonderful video.
Thanks Lee - really appreciated. Unfortunately not all the good foregrounds are in my doorstep - I regularly make 2 hour trips each way to get to the coast to and into the dark skies of Norfolk - worth it though!
Your commitment pays off for you Paul. Plus you tend to get better weather than down here in Cornwall too 😉. Ps sorry about the clouds from the southwest it was probably us 😂
Awesome Paul, so happy to hear you got amongst some aurora. I also managed to capture the Aurora Australis (southern lights) on the 19th Sept - possibly the same solar event. Stay tuned for my video in a few weeks (I can't turn them round as quick as you 😂).
So glad you caught it too, Greg! There was a 1-2-3 punch from the events earlier this week, so good opportunities for a lot of people! Look forward to seeing your video when it’s ready (I’m quite erratic in my timings!! This one just happened to be swift).
Another great video Paul. I love the windmill in the foreground and that timelapse at the end was very nice indeed. Well done mate.

Excellent Paul😀 Great aurora image with the windmill. Loved the timelapse too! Looking forward to the next video mate👍 Clear skies!
Thanks Simon - appreciated. 👍
Thanks for sharing the adventure again! Really enjoyed it. So cool you unexpectedly got your dream shot!
Thanks Jeroen - still chuffed with how the night turned out!
@@nightscapejournals I can totally imagine that 😀

Nice video! It's great when a photography plan comes together and you get your shot!
Thanks Scott - appreciated.
It's a great foreground, and at least the clouds were nice enough to leave a gap for those rays to sit in!
Thanks James - if they’d arrived 10 minutes earlier I would have missed the big stuff completely, so at least I caught something!
I just stand in the road 😂 I do like the restraint in the final image. Great foreground!!
Plenty of roadworks round here at the moment, so I could have pilfered a few diversion signs and had the place to myself! Thanks Paul - appreciated.

That´s great Paul! Waiting to go out soon myself, just go a new (used) lens to try out. A Samyang XP 35 mm f/1.2. Should be a night time beast!
Wow, I cannot wait to hear how you get on with that! f/1.2 🤤🤤🤤🤤
@@nightscapejournals initial tests indicate that it´s sharp enough at f/1.2 for filmning, at f/1.8 for timelapse and at f/2.5 for prints :)
