This was such an incredible night - great diversity of settings, you really captured the night! It's wild being able to see such similar formations from the aurora so far apart.
A great video of the display and the way you talked through your thought processes and issues you encountered during the night totally resonates with my experience! You got some lovely examples of the orange aurora, which is when the green and red colours overlay one another. I think the bokeh shots worked really well too, especially the close-up sequence with the gravestones. The bokeh brought out the star colours and it was interesting to be able to compare these to the aurora colour. It also brought out how the constellations look when embedded in an aurora display. The subtle colour graduation of the aurora looked great and was indicative of what was seen by eye. Glad you got to experience the wonderful display! 😃
Thanks for your kind comment, Steve. I do love the oranges - always a nice surprise (and which always cause me to check my colour balance!). It was shame the bokeh shots coincided with *relatively* low activity levels - I've really enjoyed that sort of timelapse in Norway before and hoped to recreate it here!
