Paul, the quality of your video journals is improving with every offering. After the hustle and bustle of the week I love nothing better than to sit still on a Sat/Sun and watch your Astro offerings. Bon voyage on the next trip. Look forward to it as always. Dave
Excellent images to round off an enjoyable film! The time and effort you put into these (especially the intros) really shows through in the finished result
Wow Paul, another epic adventure! Your videography is superb mate! Watch out James Cameron!! Stunning location and awesome images, the Timelapse’s at beginning are especially good! Great music choice too, really adds power to the story 👍 love the MW images! Great work Paul! Clear skies!
Beautiful astro journal, thank you Paul. I'm so pleased Cornwall gave you clear skies and thank you for showing my homeland off to everyone and doing it justice. I love all your images but especially love your startrails image. Your Orion image came out wonderfully well considering the clouds. I hope you and your family enjoyed your time here in Cornwall and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. All the best and thank you again.
Thanks so much, Lee. As you know, I love it down there and it never disappoints!! I also like the star trails image - it’s such a lovely place to perch and watch the night go by! All the best and thanks for the support. 👍
Right its official. I no longer have to do TH-cam, I can just lay in bed watching your videos Paul! lol - Another really enjoyable 30mins of time spent with you and the stars!
well that was well worth the wait mate...stunning images at the reveal & I especially love the startrails image...looks like you`ve found the secret sauce 👏👌
Thanks so much, Pete - really kind of you. As you know, I’ve been massively inspired by your star trails images - not quite up to that level yet but I really enjoy making them!! Thanks for the support 🫡.
Cornwall looks great at night and you got some fantastic shots there. Love the H-Alpha in Orion that came out good after all!! Blending the red into the RGB image can't be easy either! I hope to get star trails as well as you captured them too! Excellent work Paul. :)
Thanks Geraint - very kind of you. I'm definitely still finding my feet with H-Alpha editing - each image I learn more! Appreciate the support and hope you've had some clear skies recently too.
Fabulous stuff Paul ! The cinematic intro was worth the entry fee on its own. You've clearly put a huge amount of work into this video and deserve a lot more recognition. I was trying to work out when you filmed this, then I saw your very clever shot of Orion above the finger post. Love it. Many thanks for sharing.
I guess it must of been the Bruce Forsyth pose that didn't get photographed. superb video and photographs, really taking it up a level. Cornwall is a truly special place and holds a lot of special memories with life long friends. Sennen Cove especially, I remember surfing there at sunset when a pod of dolphins showed up and gave us a lesson. We gave up and just watched in awe. To keep the spiritual theme of that night going we then went on for a food fight at a meadowy in Penzance, where I had my nose broken by a roasted chicken leg. thanks for bringing back some incredible memories.
I think that's the best line in a comment I've ever had!! 🍗🍗🤣🤣 I absolutely love Sennen Cove - glad it has some great memories for you too. Brucie didn't make the cut - you're right!
Awesome mate! Some great shots there! And you even managed to get a quality Orion image like you wanted, great work mate. There's nothing worse than when clouds start to roll in during an astro trip! Haha! Glad you managed to get the final image still matey
Wow, Cornwall looks like a real gem of a place! A very enjoyable experience following you, as always! I really have to search for some areas with nice foregrounds, like you have here! 🙂
Paul, what a fantastic adventure! And every single image is fantastic and the Orion shot worked out prerfectly - while you were talking about the clouds and that you might not get it, I was aleady thinking it could be an excuse to come back one day :D. Really enjoyed watching it.
Fantastic work Paul. I live in Pz and spend a lot of time in the places you visited. Such a lot involved in astro photography and I admire your skill. Will subscribe.
Thanks Peter - really appreciate that. I’m very envious of the places you have (relatively) on your doorstep - I think I could spend every clear night exploring and still not cover the half of it! Thanks for subscribing. 😊
Paul, I live in Tacoma, WA, USA. It is a lot like the UK except wetter. We have Puget Sound which is a lot like what I see in your photos. I have been to the UK years ago and it felt like home. I had to to see Stonehenge twice to get photos of it. I loved it there. We ave a replica of Stonehenge in the south of Washington along the Columbia River. It is as a complete replica would have looked like. It is a monument to WW1 Soldiers who died in the war from Klickitat County, Wa. I have been to both. Washington State is a lot like the UK. WE have a great Soccer team (Football) in Seattle. The climate is the same. I thought the UK was rather dry. Lol. ❤
Thanks for your comment, Bill - fascinating. I used to visit Seattle quite a bit and always enjoyed it, but never managed to get further afield into the more rural parts of the state or elsewhere in the PSW. Definitely somewhere I'd like to revisit though, more slowly this time!
Now you made me want to go to Cornwall. The tourist department should pay you! What a beautiful video and ofcourse pictures. I really love the production value your videos are getting. So much variation in video material and thoughtfully processed. Absolutely stunning! Shame on that mic at the end though. Stuff will always happen, right? 😅
I strongly suspect you’d love Cornwall! Thanks, Jeroen - really appreciated. Very much user error on the microphones (failed to charge the transmitter properly) 🤦♂️. Thankfully I had the shotgun as backup but it doesn’t like the wind! Appreciate the support.
Great video as always Paul, and a great place to take them from love Cornwall, on your time lapse of orion did you have the Halpa in your train, because you could see Bernard's loop in it then.
Thanks so much, Bill. The Orion timelapse was actually taken with an unmodified Canon 6D but quite a fast lens. I was surprised too that Barnard's Loop was detectable! I would love to have done it with the modified 6D, but I needed that for shooting the main tracked image. Need more cameras!!
What an amazing night out Paul, with some stunning images resulting. What do you use for you Ha imaging Paul, is it a drop in filter or modified camera?

Really appreciate the encouragement, James - thank you. I enjoy making them and they’re a nice memory of enjoyable nights out (my kind of night out!).

Thanks buddy. I was definitely happy with the Orion image in the end. I’ve learned to be relaxed about the clouds and roll with the punches!! 🤣🤣
Fantastic video, was a pleasure to meet you :)
Cheers, John - likewise!
Another gem. Some excellent locations, foreground first! :)
Thanks Paul - 100% agree on foregrounds!

Superb Paul, loving your work, great compositions. Cornwall looks fab and somewhere I need to visit with the tracker, 👍
Thank you, Christopher - those dark skies definitely enjoy being tracked! Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much, Greg. I’ve got a clip in filter for h-a, which works with the Astro-modified 6D.
Great shots, well, done, love orion shot, what ha filter do you use? I'll have to take a trip down there
Usually do all my sky shots 1st, fg after, i don't trust the weather, lol
