How To Replace Transmission Filter 99-04 Grand Cherokee - Transmission Filter Replacement. We are going to replace the transmission filter on a 2004 Grand Cherokee with the 4speed transmission. The pans bolts are torqued to 13 lb/ft and the filter bolts are torque to 35 lb/in. The fluid that is called for is ATF+4 and this one took 4.5 quarts. Parts and Tool links are listed below.
