      Thanks, Bryan, considering it was outside, and I hadn't used these particular makes of materials before it came out really well. Cheers, buddy 👍

      Hi James, Yeah, they are good gun's, it took a little while to get used to it, which isn't always a good sign, but in this case, it was, it's a shame the price in most regions has gone up a lot since Sagola were taken over.

      Hi Dean, You still over there 😂, sounds like you're enjoying it, mate, make the most of it as winter is on its way 🫣, always a funny time to go away, seems like you leave in Summer and return in Autumn over a few weeks, cheers mate 👍

    Hi Pete, great job on the tank mate it came out looking better than factory the Sagola did a fantastic job on the base and the clear went on nice and wet considering the conditions you were painting in, there is no way you would get me out there painting in that heat I have enough problems doing it in the UK🥵😅
    First try with the Astro this morning and I have to say I love that gun, it laid the clear perfectly, I used it on full fluid and it took me by surprise as it's a fast gun😁I hope to upload the videos later🤔🤞
    Thanks Pete, loved the video🤓👍

      Hi John, Yes, the Sagola is a good gun, although it took a while to get used to it 😀
      Good to hear you like the gun. That was the one recommended to me for the best clear finish , and that was from 2 people who have all 3, cheers mate 👍

      Hi Pete, so yet again my comment to you has been taken down, there must be certain key words (brand names🤔) that the algorithms pick up on, either that or the comment system is FUBAR🤣maybe I'm just getting senile and didn't post at all🤷‍♂ can't remember what I put now 🤭
      I do like the Sagola guns even though I haven't used one you can tell they are pretty good, it's a shame they are more pricey now.
      I really like the Astro so far it just feels better made compared to the DV1 and GTI ProLite copies, it's interesting that you were recommended this gun as I watched a couple of videos that recommended the Orange Astro gun, we all have different ideas about the best one I guess, ok mate lets hope this comment stays put🙄😅
      Cheers Pete👍

      Hi John, Obviously, I have no idea what is taken down as I can't see anything they do.
      I know when I used to put a video up, there would often be spam put up by people or bots, but that's all stopped, so I guess maybe it's a little too sensitive.
      Yeah, the one you have was recommended as the best for clear coat 👍

    It sounds like a tekna pro but looks like it sprays finer.
    Always wanted to try a sagola but after 20 years a bad car wreck ended my career
    I went from using a jet 90 to a jet 92 to a devillbiss plus to a devilbiss tekna coper series to iwatas super nova gold cap and that was my all time favorite till the shop changed to a thick slow drying clear so I had to switch again to a lph400 orange cap for a overall gun and a silver cap for clear.

      Hi Buddy, sorry to hear about your accident, in an instant our life can change.
      Sounds like you're gone through a few guns. Funny enough, I was using the gold cap Supernova yesterday. It's been a while since I have, but it lays solvent basecoat really well. It was a pleasure to use, cheers, mate, look after yourself 👍

      @@peteshobbies5383 I loved it for base and especially for clear,it sprayed the clear we used so good I could damn near do it blind folded and it would come out good.
      But I didn't like it for really thick slow drying clears.
      I was upset because I had a gold cap and 2 silver cap super novas and the green cap but I didn't like any of them as much as the 1.3 gold cap with a 2 to 1 clear we were using.
      It sprays glassurit and probase and pog good too but it hated lesonal clear.

      I will see about getting the orange cap as well.. what size tip are you using with your orange cap?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think the Titania is a very good all-around cap. Normally, I say 1.2 XL to most people who ask as it's good for base and clear.
      My favorite is the 1.3 XL DVR Clear for clear coat. It's a lovely gun to use but is quite fast, so it's not suitable for painters that like a slower gun.
      There is also the Titania Pro cap, which again is slightly different

    Hey Pete, beautiful finish on that tank. As mentioned on a previous comment I was going to sell my 3300 GTO 1.8mm HVLP and replace it with an AZ4. Well, I listed it but haven't found a buyer so far, I might just end up keeping it and getting a 1.3 or 1.4 tip instead of getting the mini gun and hoping that is ok for small projects. Do you think I will need to get the Tech cap as well or just stick with HVLP. I noticed you have a smaller cup on yours, what gun is that off, do you happen to know what part number it is?

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jeremy, The tech cap is faster than the HVLP and uses a little less air, but both the HVLP and Tech can provide great finishes.
      The cup was from a mini xtreme and is 500ml, so it is only slightly smaller than the 650ml that comes with a 3300. The part number is 56418080

    Your joking right Pete. I live in Phoenix, AZ. I'll show you what heat is. Average outdoor highs from June to September is 110F. THAT'S HEAT. Elcometer has jacked the price up right out of sight. They now are just as expensive as Iwata and SATA.

    • @riccocool
      @riccocool ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They were $370 not that long ago.

      Hi Sataman, yeah, it's all relative. I guess 😂.
      It's hotter than most of us. Brits have to deal with, especially as the products were all for a cooler environment.
      I think Elcometer has completely torn up the Sagola business model and, as you say, have jacked everything up in price , cheers, buddy 👍

    How does this compare to the Meiji finer core, they are not far off in price.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would rate the Finer Core as a step up in build quality and performance, although the Sagola doesn't lack in either.
      As with a lot of these guns, it really does depend on where you are as to prices.
      In the UK, a Finer Core delivered and an officially UK supplied Sagola has a price difference of around 25% , the Sagola being cheaper.
      In Spain, where I bought these, the Sagola is less than half the price of the Finer Core, so it's quite different

    Too hot and it turns to sawdust coming out of the gun.
    I'd rather it be about 72f.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi buddy, You're right. It does depend on the speed of the hardener and reducer speed if you add that.
      This was a fast reducer recommended for temperatures between 40f and 60f, so I made up each coat separately and used it straight away, which works well, if you had a lot to do it wouldn't work at all.
      I have had it go off as it's coming out the gun, I always say it's like candyfloss when it comes out, but sawdust is a good way of putting it.
      Thanks mate, appreciate it 👍
