    Hello Sir, excellent comparison, I didn’t realize that the 3300 sprayed that well, seemed pretty quick. Thank you for the video. I had a buddy tell me one time” if you’re not on the verge of a run, you’re not spraying it right”😂. Have a good one!

      Hi Bryan, The Sagola was a 1.4 so it speeded it up from the 1.3 and imo makes it a nicer gun to use for this particular clear coat as it needs plenty on as there not great flow, obviously I over did it but you get my meaning 😀 😉 👍
      I appreciate your comments, thanks buddy 👍

    Hi Pete. That Walcom seemed like it had noticeably less overspray compared to the Sagola. Love these comparison vids. Cheers 👍

      Hi mate, yes, the Walcom does make less.
      I didn't realise that at the time, it had a 1.5 tip in it. It seemed to really pump it out, and now I know why 😅😅.
      I really like doing the comparison vids as you really notice any differences. Everything is completely fresh in your head as you are using and doing everything at the same time. Only the gun is different
      Cheers mate, thanks for watching 👍

    Hey Pete I hope all is well with you and your family , I do like my Sagola 3300 GTO , but I find I don't really get to use it that much due to the other guns I have but I'm hoping I can get a Walcom one day , they look like they can put down a really nice coat , would really like to try one out , cheers mate

      Hi Roger, Yes, alls well here mate thank you.
      The difference between these two in the handling stakes is stark. After the Sagola, The Walcom feels featherweight. It really does.
      I can see the merits in both, and you wouldn't notice that huge difference if it wasn't literally going from one to the other.
      Performance wise, there isn't anything in it. Both are good, but the Sagola in that colour scheme is certainly the looker 😃
      Cheers mate, hope things are ok with you 👍

  • @andrewntoth1

    Interesting comparison pete 👍 , I understand what you mean about the slim kombat feeling fragile , they feel like they're going to snap just tightening the fluid tip , I digress kevlar is used in body armor suits though , so it can't be too weak! . The weight difference is really noticable when you have the gun in your hand for 4 or 5 hours at a time though . Also I have noticed both my kombat and xlight weep out of the tip a little when they have just thinner in them (have done from new) which can be slightly annoying at times . Sagola definately make very truck like guns , does the 3300 have that same silly ring at the top of the trigger that the needle goes through? (Like the 4600 does ... to digress again , I still haven't fixed my 4600 from spraying the side of the air cap , unfortunately didn't get very far with sagola on the subject either 😕 )

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mate, I haven't noticed any leaking from my Slim Kombat or Xlite, although they aren't left with thinners in for any length of time.
      No, the 3300 doesn't have the annoying ring that moves about as on the 4600 , thankfully 😀
      I guess you're right with Kevlar being strong. It's all in the head I think, when it comes to these things
      Cheers buddy 👍

    Great spraying, Pete. That run is nothing compared to some of my test panels. 😅😂 I've about given up on 2802 for the moment as spraying such clears with those characteristics is hard for a full respray when you're trying to avoid a bunch of overspray in a homemade booth. MS clears definitely don't need as much pressure in my case, and lay down better.
    As to those guns, the Sagolas are really reeling it in with the performance. If only the price would come down in the US. As to the Walcom, I had no idea parts were harder to get here, probably more expensive. I just checked for a Slim XLight air cap, needle, & nozzle. $133 + shipping. OUCH!

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Mate, I should be used to these panels so a run did surprise me, especially as it was with the smaller tipped gun as it turned out 😉.
      I will eventually stop using the 2080, I bought a lot of them. It was 8 full kits as they were a silly price, so I am slowly working my way through them, I have about 2 left, It's definitely harder to get a finish with it.
      Yes, I'm told the spare situation in the US for Walcom isn't good at all.
      It's not just at dealer level it at the importers.
      They are saying some spares are just not obtainable, this is totally unacceptable, the UK importers tell us they can get whatever part that's needed, providing its not obsolete of course but the US importers are say they can't gets some parts for current guns which is stupid.
      There have to be 6 or 7 people who have said a similar thing, all in the US over the past 18 months, some you will see on here some via Instagram.
      I now give them the email for the Italian factory to see if they can get any joy. It's walmec@walmec.com if anyone needs it.
      Cheers Boss 👍

      @peteshobbies5383 if my skills were as yours, I'd stick with the Upol. It's not a bad clear, and you definitely have seemed to master it. I have to spray a thinner clear to get off the gun finishes like yours.

    Hi Pete, great video once again mate and it was a very interesting comparison, the Sagola is a very nice looking gun I do like it in the black with the graphics on it👌
    As you know I'm not a lover of the Walcom guns as they always feel plasticky in the hand and they feel cheap and not very well made but if you take the time to look at them they are actually quite well made but I find them to lightweight which is probably due to me being heavy handed as I prefer the heavier guns, I haven't used my Walcom Slim Kombat for a long while which is a shame really as it looks quite nice as it's a special edition, maybe one day I'll use it again🤔
    As for the finish you really can't split them as they both did a good job and you did well to not get any runs with the 1.5 tip in the Walcom😂
    Thanks Pete👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi John, Thanks, mate , I did enjoy using it with the 1.5 in it , at the time, I thought the Sagola would be the canon, but they both were 🤣😂.
      The light guns do feel really flickable, which I like, but it also gives the feeling of fragility, which maybe isn't deserved 🤔
      As people point out, if your holding a gun for 5 or 6 hours a day with a full pot, then weight does make a difference .
      Cheers mate 👍

    • @JohnWD40TC02
      @JohnWD40TC02 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I think because they are light people think they are cheaply made but that isn't the case, when I first got mine I thought the same but it's just made of high quality lightweight material which is very strong.
      I can understand that using a normal gun during a working shift could be tiring but for me (I expect you are the same) it isn't a problem as I don't spray 5+ hours a day which I'm quite pleased about😂👍

      @peteshobbies5383 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @JohnWD40TC02 Yeah, I'm the same, I'm never been using a gun for that long for weight to be a problem.

    • @peteshobbies5383

      Hi buddy, they are both good. If you are talking about the series2 WS, then they are good and easy to set up compared to series1.
      The WBX is as good, really. It's a bit faster if you prefer that, but neither are fast compared to the fast guns like the Sata 5000 , Sagola 4600 etc

    Why do you waste so much thinners flushing guns and then dumping them out onto a rag? Why not dump into an empty container and after like ten flushes you probably have enough to clean a gun. I have three mixing cups with lids that i dump thinners into of various cleanliness and its awesome to spray a job and then dump a whole cup full of reused thinners before a light flush with unused thinners at the end. Also defeats the need to pre flush before you spray because you you had so much thinners to clean with in the first place. When you first start cleaning your gun, it makes no difference whether the thinner is perfectly clean or not, and as you accumulate more and more of it, cleaning becomes kind of like using water so the guns are so clean you can't tell whether it's had paint in it at all.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi buddy, It's an idea, although I can't say I use a load of thinners, the only stuff I would want to keep is the virgin stuff I put through before filling with paint or clear, it isn't that much, as I say, it's an idea and I may give it a go, thanks 👍
