In my opinion, after my severe tragedy💔 a loss of my husband due to a massive heart attack in 60 seconds, my husband was dead💔 leaving me to take care of my three children and my grandchildren🕊️my siblings 😭 Just brush their hands off. Wipe them clean and left me to deal with it all by myself . I I have now come to realize that we all need someone to lean on, especially during the very hard times 😢 and the ugly things that happen to us. It's not just sometimes it is 😢 always that we all need someone to lend a helping hand during the tragedies in all our lives. Love 💕 from others is the only remedy once you are on your bended knees 😢 asking for help 🕊️🕊️🙏🕊️

What *do* other people say? Freddie Mercury, Roger Daltrey, David Bowie, some of the greatest singers in rock history have said that Bono is a true singer. He doesn't get enough credit for his songwriting, though. He's got to be one of the Top 5 lyricists in rock.
Les342 absolutely. The edge just rocks with his guitar solo’s. How many bands out there that started when the members were in their early teens and are still going strong and have the same 4 band members. That in itself is amazing. They have so many great songs.

They are the best band I've ever seen live and I've seen a lot of bands live. Bono is the best front man in the world. He just connects with a crowd like no one else. His voice can go into the stratosphere when he feels the urge. The band stays in the pocket of the song, AND I believe they use a click track (LM), which kind of helps explain why they always play so tight. I'm 42 now and ever since high school, they've been there for me.... Passion on a grand scale.
His voice is absolutely phenomenal. Truly amazing, the lyrics would make puppies faint.
It's just recently that I am beginning to listen to Bono AKA the group.U2. So for the last 3 days I've been following his interviews, watching his concerts and getting idea of what this man is all about. I am happy to report that he is one of the most recognized faces in this world.🌏 It is true because he is a philanthropist and a man determined to make this world better then it was before he arrived ⚡🌏⚡ I'm happy to report he is doing just that. Besides the One organization that he started to prevent any child from starving to death. What he has done is monumental work with speaking to leaders of many countries, if not all the countries on this globe. To make a connection of love and peace throughout the whole world🌏⚡ Bono doesn't doesn't just talk to talk. He walks the walk. Wherever that might lead him to 👍whether it be the Far East to Russia to Africa. That man has been there and that man has seen and he has conquered. He is my idol. Due to all that he has done and shown all of mankind. His dream is that his humanitary work that we will follow in his footsteps one day as we continue on with him❤ hand in hand to find peace n love in this world 🌏⚡🌏

I was 17 when mine died in '85. And I still do cry with this song for the same reasons you do. I'm pretty sure Bono in Chicago in 2005 must have left a tear inside when he sang this for his father, too. Hang on... People who were loved that much, never really leave us, trust me.

I recall the story of when Bono first brought this song to the rest of the band they were concerned about how open he was about such a personal matter, they weren't inclined to do it initially. But a great song is an inevitable thing, no stopping it. I am grateful for the song as it has given me some moments to reflect on in my own troubled relationship with my father before his passing.

Man I love this band... A bit sad I noticed them that late. In 2001 I couldn't stop listening to Elevation, after one from my older brothers school class, played counter-strike with some very talented guys, who together in named their CS clan after that song. This song however, is much more personal for Bono/Paul Hewsson. But it just proves, what a great band U2 really is. From more strange songs like "Numb", to personal songs like this and "The First Time", to party-like songs as Elevation and Vertigo, to iconic songs like "Bloody Sunday". It's like they master the whole spectrum of music, plus they are a great liveband.
Wish I could have been to their concert, last time they played where I live. Hope I get a second chance to do that :-)

The best Band of the planet
This was filmed at the riverside studios in London in 2004. They played five tracks from the vertigo album to be used on cduk. There was about 200 people in the studios. I was there and it was amazing. Kings of Leon filmed a couple of tracks just before u2. It was before kol hit the big time. Good memories. Some people say that bono was miming....he wasn't. They actually played the tracks until they were happy with the results.
Only a deaf man can pretend Bono's mimiking...

Don’t get me wrong they can do it live, but with how much assistance from backing tracks? they keep claiming to be the biggest band in the world…surely the biggest band in the world can they play totally live with no gimmicks? Could they play their show in a pub?
@@tigger1662003 Bono is actually singing and Larry's actually playing the drums but I don't think the amps are on. Sometimes TV appearances require different audio situations. Top of the Pops used to be entirely mimed, it was basically a music video. Old Grey Whistle Test was sort of a response to that phoniness.

This song was written for my father, Frank Sewell. We didn’t get along going up. We fought, a lot! But when he was in the hospital, on his final days,,,,I told him I loved him.
U2 is just freaking great. One thing I can thank my brother for....the intro to all kinds of music at a very young age!! U2 was one of my favs! I still have the Joshua Tree vinyl I listened to as a kid!💜

How amazing a song could be when it fits in different situations in people's lives.
Personally I think that life is tough, and taking always every punch at you is hard. A helping hand is always welcome in harsh moments. I mean, there's times when you have to go by your own, but if you have the bless, the lucky (or whatever your beliefs) of having someone who cares about you, don't let go.
Playing this in 2020 still sounds so good. Even more special now as my brother has just passed away 2 weeks ago. R. I. P. Jimmy xx

This song is basically the most important piece of music written in the last 20 years as far as I'm concerned.
My father passed away, 9 years ago, still haven't got over his passing, wish I could talk to him, tell him how much he means to me and how much I love him , but I can't tell him to his face, I tell him in my mind, first time I heard this song after his passing, I was driving, had to pull over, couldn't see for the tears and wrench of pain inside of me, I saw him an hour before he passed, I didn't say goodbye to him, that hurts so much.
They seem to have a song that fits for every time in life.

It makes us cry because we can totally relate to the part about trying to impress our parents no matter what and we can't always get through to them, but at the end we still love them. And that's what we have left. We love and miss them no matter what. We get it into perspective when they pass.
