he's a nice guy. i don't think he did anything wrong. he treated her like a human even though he wasn't into her romantically, and he was honest and didn't string her along or insult her.

I have a friend who is now skinny after being a larger lady her whole life and she still has no luck in love (it’s her behavior like this lady) & I have another curvy girlfriend who has never been rejected in her life, most men don’t care much about our size as much as we think of it 😅 I actually got more attention when I was 26kg heavier 🥲

There’s a mechanism in us that does not allow us to be attracted to everyone. If we were, we would be screwing everybody. Never take offense to somebody who doesn’t find you attractive. Consider it a blessing that you find out early on, and you can move on. I do like the banter between these two they were very cute in that way.

She doesn't see her own behavior and then just puts the blame on her weight...
She's obviously a woman with "issues", and once you settle into a relationship, her problems become yours. Worse, you could be the one blamed. Men overwhelmingly want peace, and it's doubtful you'd get it with her.

The main thing I found uncomfortable is that she didn’t put money on the card and expected the guy to pay. I do prefer if the guy pays on the first date (just personal preference) but I will always be ready to pay in case.
I must say he was the most polite 'rejector' I have seen this far on first dates New Zealand. It was so obvious she is not somebody who appeals to the masses physically. Lovely lady and I'm sure she is fun to be around if you're in the same circles. But unfortunately being an interesting, quirky character has its downsides. You kind of need to find somebody EQUALLY as interesting and quirky as you, which can be challenging

There was just nothing left to the imagination. He seems like a good person for being honest, paying for dinner, and giving it a fair chance.

When you're a big lass, sometimes you get friend zoned more often than regular girls and you tend to fit in best "with the boys" - so you pick up habits that make you more "brutish/butch/masculine".
She relies heavily on humour to attract mates because it's how she attracts male friends and they're her best friends. I think working on her self esteem, self worth and self love would be a benefit, she comes across too desperate. Unrealistic. I know many unattractive people who tried that and it did not succeed. They are still single. Looks play a huge role even if people don't want to admit it. Even if someone has a positive self image altough not attractive that does not mean the people whom s/he likes will also like him/her back. At best s/he would have to settle and end up with people s/he does not really like. That is life.

Those who are unrealistic, expecting a specific kind of person, are likely to be disappointed. With this woman, I think she just wants someone who cares and has put appearance as a non-factor because she is aware of her situation. If she could continue being realistic, drop certain bad habits and add a bit more positivity, she could find someone. She already knows not to expect Prince Charming, whereas some people in her situation remain in denial.

Her table manners are repulsive and the toilet humor is childish and cheap. She is better than that or she should strive to be better than that: elegance and mystery will always be captivating, no matter your size.
When you reach a certain point in life, you’ll realise that being happy and authentic to yourself, is more important than trying to fit into this perfect little box set by society, or impressing strangers who don’t even care about you. Many people only reach that point in old age, then regret holding back and caring too much. She’s a free spirit and it makes her happy. I guarantee that there’re plenty of men who will love her as is.

She's very child-like for her age. She laughs at things a 9 year old child would laugh at. Her clothes don't flatter her huge frame either. With the right outfit she could've made herself look alot slimmer. The blue hair is what you would expect from a teenager. She seemed more focused on poo rather than her career and life. @Kat-mu8wq Yes, pretend to be something you're not. How often do you see your kids' teachers? Or co workers? You're not just going to walk in like u just got out of bed. Or talk to them like you would family and friends, or even have the same mannerisms. When you meet someone for the first time you want to make a good impression. The best thing you can do is conduct yourself in an appropriate manner so it's not uncomfortable. it's courteous.

The young lady has tons and tons of personality. It was obvious that she really liked him, and she was trying extremely hard to make him like her. Her strong personality was definitely making an impression on the gentleman, but I could see that physically she simply wasn't his cup of tea.

When meeting someone new, you should be well aware there is the risk of them not wanting what is best for you. A lot of people are selfish and immature. I was cheated on for years and got a disease because I was too naive and forgiving. I am much happier now, and single by the way. If a good guy come along, great, if he doesn't I will continue to enjoy my life fully.
