Finally, she DID have money on her, but she wasn’t willing to part with it for him. Better to embarrass him on TV. She should’ve offered to leave the tip. By saying that other men would’ve gladly paid for her was another way of rubbing his nose in it. Very manipulative and rude of her!

Nowadays, it’s best to plan on paying your portion or half of the bill when you’re going on a first date. If both of you are completely different then there won’t be another date and no need for someone to invest in something that’s not gonna work. If a person offers to pay then that’s different. (I’m a 43 yr old woman if that matters.)
