  • I was searching ebay and Facebook marketplace for a Trangia Mini T28 and came across the T25 Duossal at a bargain price.
I would not have bought a new one at approx $200AU but this was a bargain.
Duossal is a combination of stainless steel and aluminium and I think it is the top of the range model for Trangia
it's used but still in excellent condition so I could not pass up the opportunity to buy it.
I bought the Trangia orange bag to keep everything clean in my camping kit.
It did not come with a kettle so I bought a GSI stainless steel kettle and use the Trangia pot stand to ensure the kettle sits well in the T25.
I also found the magnetic "wand" that will make the placing of the simmer ring on the burner easy.
I also found the Trangia 300ml alcohol fuel bottles in red and green on ebay from a European seller.
All up great additions to my collection of Trangia storm cookers

I also bought a 2nd hand 25 DuoSsAl Trangia recently. I'm amazed by the quality. The composite material is quite thick at a reasonable weight. This will spread the heat into the pans evenly. Also the cleaning can be done quite easily

Good to see this video. I have a set made from stainless steel from the 80s and a duossal set from the mid 90s. Both are as good today as they were when purchased. My "everyday" set is the titanium one purchased around 2000. The early duossals had some issues with delaminating but I have never had any experience of this. I still have the cups and candle lanterns from way back.

I got an alocs version of this which has a handle on the simmer attachment, and a slot on the side so yuo can move it without removing the pot, but that magnet trick is brilliant!

Just unscrew the wind cover and then place the simmering thingie on top to snuff out the flame. :)

Lucky bugger getting a kit in that condition second hand.
Personally, I find the hard anodised better. More non stick than the duosol and safer than the nonstick version. Great kit though.
    Have fun with it.

Have you tested all three versions? I bought the HA version but not sure if I made the right choice!

That thing is massive and heavy. Also slow. I don’t understand them. Car camping I guess.

Just wondering what you know about the 25-23 2.0 D and the wrinkles I've seen on my new pots and was described in a printout with my pots? Is it as common and a non issue like they make it sound or is it a really bad cosmetic thing ?

      Hello,
Yes, I have wrinkels on my Duossal sauce pans. Daily use for a year, but no problem so far.
