    Trangia was the first outdoor cooking kit I used. I've tried a lot of others over the years, but I still always come back to my Trangia. It's far from the lightest option out there, but it is a really nice kit. I also like that they never outsourced their produktion, but kept in Sweden.

      🇸🇪👏👏👏, I bought a Silva sailing compass for my boat in January..... only to see 'made in China' on the box 😟😞.

    I read the clasp should be on the side and not the lid to prevent denting or damage. It's a bit tricky to line up but Trangia recommends to not have bucket on lid.
    I really like my 27 Trangia. I have the kettle and when I fill it up with alcohol I get enough to cook dinner or breakfast, talking eggs and bacon, and then boil the water for coffee all for two people.
    Then I let it burn dry because I find it leaks sometimes and I don't need the seal to be pliable.

    Nice informative video. The numbering system is the order in which Trangia released each product. So the 25 (their first storm cooker) was released two products before the 27. That HA model looks very classy.

    Looks to be a pretty good piece of kit. I think you'll find it is Hard Anodised and not Hard Ardenised though. It gets a thubs up from me.

    Trangia 25 was first made in 1925, 27 was made in 1927, 28 in 28. That's what I learned in a forum on the Internet, so I know it to be true.

      Yes I agree, I have a set of trangia size stainless steel pots and use my eagle products kettle or gsi kettle I know its heavier but more robust, even a titanium set would be kool, appreciate your comment and support 😀 👍

    Never had a problem keeping fuel in the burner - been doing that for 35 years.

    • @wildernessnomad3785
      @wildernessnomad3785  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to hear it m8 it might be down to the fuel type and duration of storage but have found it clogs and up and has a somewhat corrosive effect on the burner, to be honest its up to the individual what thay do but thought I'd share my own experience on it, thanks for commenting and watching 👍

    • @RustyKnorr
      @RustyKnorr ปีที่แล้ว

      Quality fuel is not corrosive, nor will it “clog up” the stove.

    Wouldn’t it be good if the instruction booklet told practically all TH-camrs how to pronounce ‘Trangia’ correctly - the G is said like garlic or girl, not like German or gel.

      Do you know how many viewers over the years have complained about how many videos have been posted by so many people giving their views on Trangia but not finding anything new to say; hang on I am losing track.
      Why are you, the complaint, wasting your time?
