Trangia Camping Set 24-T and 27 and 25 cook sets
Hi mate thanks for watching.
My new Camping Set 24-T has components that can be used with the Trangia 27 and 25. You can use the Camping Set without a Trangia on a fire, gas stove or other alcohol or spirit burner.
The fry pan and 2.5 litre billy pot fit on the 27 and the kettle and 2 pots for in the 25 Trangia
The non-stick cooking surfaces are a great addition to the standard Trangias.

Trangia Camping Set 24 - T

Hi mate thanks for watching. I bought a new camping set from Trangia. The black non-stick 24 set. The fry pan, 2 pots and the 2.5 litre billy pot have non-stick cooking surface. The lid fits the fry pan and billy pot. The outside surface is black. Which trangia cook set can this be used with? See my next video
Tailgate Table

G'day mate I needed some extra bench top space when I cook and eat a meal out the back of the ute. This is a removable table attached to the tailgate with hinges with removable pins. The legs for the table are height adjustable using cut down tent poles and these legs fold away under the table for transport
Charcoal Starter Chimney Stove for One

Hi mate this is not an original idea. it's been around for years and there are many people on TH-cam who have made one of these. It's easier than firing up a weber Kettle. I have used a cheap charcoal starter chimney from Bunnings and made a few modifications It all goes in a Kings compressor bag Hope you like this little project
Swedish Army M40 cookset and stove and M39 Gas Mask Bag

After buying the Windshield I showed you in the last video I researched why it was made in the shape it was. I thought I had no hope of buying the M40 or M44 cookset that went into the windshield but luckily a military surplus store in the UK obtained a supply and sold them on ebay. The set I bought has the stainless steel frying pan and pot, the aluminium windshield, the military trangia stove...
Swedish Army Stove and Windshield

This is part of my cooking stove collection. Although 50 plus years old it still is useful in minimalist camp cooking today. With the addition of a DIY or bought grill you can use small pots or cooking containers. I bought this online thru eBay from a military surplus store in Lithuania although the items are surplus from the Swedish army. I think I paid about $36AUS for the 3 items including p...

Trangia Accessories - What's good to get
มุมมอง 16K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Once you have your Trangia there are a number of accessories that will enhance the use of the cooking system. I'm no expert but after viewing a whole lot of videos on TH-cam you soon get the idea, based on other's more extensive experience, that some accessories are a good buy. I run through what I have bought in addition to my Trangia 27. One item I did not include in my video was the Trangia ...

Hi guys! Thanks for dropping by. I've bought my first Trangia. They have been around in this iconic design since the 1950's. It's a complete cooking system - pots, frypan, windshield and spirit burner - everything you need to cook a good meal out camping, hiking or at home if the power fails or in an emergency weather situation. Kings 120 W solar blanket impacted by shading
มุมมอง 1613 ปีที่แล้ว
With an amp gauge connected to a Kings 120 watt solar blanket I tested the impact of covering one or more solar cells on the blanket to see impact on amps produced From a high of 5 plus amps the covering of cells reduced amps greater than percentage expected. The "pulsing" of the amp and voltage reading on the gauge needs further research maybe its my solar regulator.

I’d recommend the billy can as well. I’ve got a Trangia 27, and although I do cook pasta and rice etc in the pots, if you’ve used the pan to fry, I don’t like using it to cover the pot whilst the pasta is cooking so I invested in the 2.5litre billycan. The whole thing fits neatly inside the billycan and doesn’t add that much bulk. It’s got it’s own lid and just makes it that much more flexible.

Good to see this video. I have a set made from stainless steel from the 80s and a duossal set from the mid 90s. Both are as good today as they were when purchased. My "everyday" set is the titanium one purchased around 2000. The early duossals had some issues with delaminating but I have never had any experience of this. I still have the cups and candle lanterns from way back.

Hi from a Brit expat living in Malaysia. Nice video 👍. As soon as I saw one of these in my YT feed, I had to get one - spurred on by the fact that I ordered a 25-7 UL HA from the UK at the end of November but it's still held up due to Royal Mail strikes before Xmas and now a cyber attack of the Royal Mail.😠. Normally it's less than a week to receive stuff I've ordered. Mangaged to source my T28 from an outdoor shop in Indonesia and it arrived in les than a week. Took it out to my local woods the day it arrived and cooked pasta to go with my cuppa ; it's an awesome piece of kit for solo trips and I look forward to many years of use from it. Hopefully my 25-7 will arrive some time this year when the Royal Mail sorts itself out. Have also subbed to your channel. Cheers buddy and stay safe 👍🇲🇾

From camping, fishing, kayaking, day tripping, boating, etc. It's not a toy like some thought it was at first. It'sa powerful little kit. Not only for backpacking but for anywhere you choose to take it.

Good video. Thank you. I pretty much upgraded my 30 years old alu series 25 with the same choices as you. I managed to also get the non stick pots at a very good price so went an now totally non stick. I didn't buy the Trangia gas burner. There are third party ones by GoSystems and others out of China which are about a third of the price of the Trangia in the UK and fit and work perfectly. The great benefit of the gas burner is the overpipe which heats the gas as it feeds into the burner and keeps a consistent burn in cold weather. The little cutting board is a great accessory. I switched out my kettle to the GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Steel Kettle. Fits the series 25, and has a very wide lid opening so makes storage of the handle and burner easy. And its stainless. The other accessory I have is the Trangia pot stand. It's expensive for what it is and you could make one, but it allows pots of all sizes to sit on the stove. It's an accessory I now can't do without.

Great video and I just have to say that this kit is absolutely outstanding! Used it throughout my military service and it was actually what I cooked on for a daily basis over a couple of years. Every single meal was prepared in such a kit when being in the fields more than most people will ever be. Still using it to this day, but not for lightweight hiking… I’m starting to get older and must prioritise low weight instead…

Its a great bit of kit, I’ve also got the SS model in good condition - I love using mine, although the simmer ring doesn’t work well for me as a snuffer, I’ve had it fully closed off at times and the flames still pour up from the simmer ring holes - as high as flames with or without it. Best way I snuff is to invert the lid and drop it in top (to protect the rubber gasket). Actually, the best way I’ve learnt to cook on it to limit burning things is to tip wind shield upside down and put pot (or any type of pan) on top of shield, with metho burner on ground - works a treat.

Mate, we got plenty of snow in Oz now so sure a snow shoe for your Trangia will be suitable. Hope to get to the Alps some day. The gas burner is excellent but I tend to use the alcohol burner when I just want to get out for a day and want to not have to listen to the hissing gas burner sound but rather enjoy the silence. The multi function of the plastic pot lid is good but I try not to use it as a cutting board, cost way to much to cut up veggies on it.

Nice set! Would say the stamped marking on the inside of the flap is the manufacturer´s stamp. 1940 makes it 80 years old! Svea (pronounced as one word, not an abbreviation) is the producer of the kitchen or kitchen parts. They have made many kitchens and products related to them. m/44 is of aluminium, can still be found as they were also issued as part of the civilian defense materiel. In Sweden the so called kuksa is kalled kåsa (cosa for you English speaking lot). Kuksa is a Finnish variation. Great to see our beloved "filth pot" being imported all the way to Oz.
