Your favorite influencer may be turning into Ai... No, we're not talking about Vtubers, we're talking about companies like Meta turning creators and influencers into Ai chatbots. From MrBeast to Kendall Jenner to Charli D'Amelio to Tom Brady, they've all signed some Ai rights over to Zuck. But what exactly are the Ai creators like Kwebbelkop, Lil Miquela, and others doing? How are they making money? And is ANY of this good for society? Today, Theorists, we talk about a very controversial topic...

I wanna point out that with these "perfect" ai models, it becomes tempting to wanna upgrade our own bodies with AI. Heck, I'll be the first to admit that it sounds cool on the surface, but there's also an arc from Teen Titans that immediately springs to my mind. In one episode, a near fully robotic scientist tries to make Cyborg more "perfect" by removing his humanity. I wanna go through the hard trials of life as a human and have ai tech just stay as a tool to be used for jobs we shouldn't have to do anymore. It's tempting on one hand, but I'm personally never gonna look up to one of these "influencers."
If I were famous there's no way I'd sell my likeness to be used as an AI chatbot. I can't imagine what these creators are thinking.
0:39 let's goooo! Sinder in the Style theory video!

To think, the movie S1mOne (Simone) was predicting this very topic, a mere 22 years ago. Biggest difference, in that film, one film company... or really one person... had total access. Reality lets the whole world do it. Then again, we are living in the age of many sci-fi concepts.

I’ve seen Kwebbelkop’s AI videos, and let me tell you, the hate was not from it being a robot. It sucks. It felt like I was seeing one of those brain rot clickbait videos a toddler would watch. No personality, script felt nonsensical… it just wasn’t a Kwebbelkop video. It was clearly AI, front and center. Makes me feel a little _Bloo_ for the future of content creation…
With AI taking over the internet. I’m I’m worried if it takes jobs. If it’s doing this. I’m worried for the future.
The AI wave is definitely coming faster than we can handle and there aren't any proper laws and regulations, well, regulating the use of AI in consumer market. This reminds me of the situation of loot boxes. I would say they are still not properly regulated and are still very predatory in nature, especially in the gacha and mobile gaming space. I can definitely see that happening, where a child is convinced by an AI celebrity to buy $1000 worth of a certain product, makeup or game currency, thinking that it is their idols advising what's best for them
Im am infertile from eating scented candles. The

Okay this is my issue with AI as of late: I'm fine with AI chatbots and AI robots if they're based off of a fictional character that is perfectly fine with me, but the moment it's an AI robot based off a *real person* and it's got the name and the whole namesake itself of a real life person I've got issues because I don't think that's okay or... normal, like at all 😅 seriously whatthefluff...
Could we all report as misleading any AI generated content on social media??? Like, is it possible, because technically it is misleading. For example if someone sees the perfect AI model and ends up harming themselves to be like it? This can happen when the companies don't recognise the model as AI, so there isn't any warning

In the start of the video, the left one was clearly fake. That plain white cinematic background is classic CGI
I feel like DougDoug is one of the few channels doing AI right, he simply uses AI as a tool to be more creative and make his videos entertaining. When you watch his videos I think one of the appeals of it is that you can tell how genuine he is, Doug is just a bald American guy who likes locking his viewers in his nonextant basement
This has such a dystopian future feel to it and yet we don't even have actual life changing technology that betters humanity in a substantial way, truly one of the worst timelines.
I always think when you get something like that and they tell you "if you guessed it put it in the comments" then either the person doesnt comment or probably lies about getting it right..
BUT I GOT IT RIGHT AND NO ONES GONNA TELL ME IM WRONG-
Does anyone else love the calming feeling of taking a long walk or bike ride? Just me?

My questions exactly...
Like they said in the vid, they're mostly sexualised female characters, it's not hard to see the appeal there. for the rest that don't use it for 'that' reason, I don't know the appeal
What's the appeal of following an influencer in the first place?
You assume that someone who is young and has access to their parents’ credit card figured out the influencer is AI before they buy merchandise…

This is quite worrying indeed. An AI revolution would be catastrophic especially for those of us who value the authenticity of human connection. Society needs to be made aware of this to ensure they are mindful of the implications.
It's not surprising to me, I definitely don't like it but it seemed like the next logical step. I'm not planning on watching any AI creators and there will still be non-AI creators, just like we still have books even though movies are a thing.

What's arguably scarier is the irresponsible usage/implementation by money-grubbing humans.
You could notice by looking at colors.
1- one has this weird line and colors on her face are all over the palce (also her eyers)
2 - in this one just look at her clothes, those colors look digital, not realistic

2.1 -again colors on her face are bad
2.2 - her eyes are looking in different directions
2.3 - her hair are clipping into the side of her face or magickly she developed sideburns
Sooooo glad Style Theory did an episode on AI, all the deepfake stuff is honest to god really scary. What irks me is the fact that, for the most part, consumers don’t WANT AI shoved into every product, but somehow every CEO seems to think that we do, and then forces consumees to go through a complicated opt-OUT process for their stuff to not get fed into an AI THAT NO ONE WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Being Autistic, I struggle to read facial expressions, tone and body language - the exact ways you can spot AI. I'm not the only one either.
AI is an inclusivity issue, and I don't see this mentioned enough.
Same here man. I'm not religious but God help us all.
I'm autistic too, and guess what? You're gonna have to deal with it. Yeah, you may have trouble reading facial expressions. That's a given. You can't just ask an entire industry to cater to you. Some things will be harder for you, and you should know that. Of course we need to do better at disclosing what's AI and what's not, but an "inclusivity issue"? No.
We might have to contact our representatives if this goes much further. Not disclosing AI is just not OK - not just for us, but for kids and those with dementia too.
@@superluigidummy And besides, AI is getting better and mimicking human facial expression anyhow so this isn't even going to be a point much longer. Even non-autistic folks are struggling w/AI vs reality, as this video pointed out. It's an issue of transparency, not autism inclusion.

Miquela and other projects are obviously CGI characters. The lighting looks very fake in most images. Animations also look unnatural. However, day by day, it becomes harder for the untrained eye to notice the pitfalls of CGI and AI in our current times.
Miquela and Shudu are indeed both CGI. Not AI. Not sure why she used those at the beginning and called that "AI". That said, with both the exponential progress of both skin texture accuracy as well as AI image generation, yeah the technology is really growing and making it easier than ever for even hobbyists to create almost-perfect realism.
The animation does give it away, but being honest, it's been getting closer and closer.
@@KaliadderExperiments 4K image textures is what is doing it. Used to be that CGI used only 1K images, but now the CGI programs can utilize 4K and higher UV image maps, and if the character is essentially painted so there is no seam it becomes nearly impossible to tell at that level of detail.

Gosh I remembered when Hatsune Miku was the only AI popstar.
Hatsune isn't AI though. The visuals are all cgi, which means someone actually made them by hand, and the voices are just heavily edited actual voices. Same goes for all other vocaloid performers. Most of the AI influencers here are actually AI as in their speech and visuals. Vocaloid is digital, not AI.
@@linklink3069 True, but I have to second OP's point of "I remember when things were just digital instead of AI".

Can't forget that meta is taking all images and reels and training AI with them. And you can't even opt out.
