You made that so straightforward. Thanks.
Thank you! Was having some issues with my printer and this actually managed to tell me this issue and helped me fix it.
Thank you for your help sir!
People, I updated the screen and then the printer. It turns out I used the same memory card for both updates. I didn't get a blue screen, but everything came out in Chinese and in several languages overlaying everything. In the end, I formatted the microSD again and installed the screen update again, then I used the SD card that comes with the machine for the firmware and it worked perfectly for me so far.
Sir, you are a fing genius. I got an Ender-3 V-3 SE and it crapped out on me after I printed one thing. Your video relieved a lot of frustration for me.
Thank you friend. Awesome to see you get some sh*t sorted!! Hit up my FB groups if need some help
Is it possible to modify firmware on SE to allow printing at 300C? I have replaced the heater with 60W one.
You could put the Nebula Pad on it, which will give you Klipper.... Then anything is possible
Are there any benefits or added features to the update? My SE has been running great since xmas and I'm not sure I need to update. thx.
I don't know the specifics, but, Marlin and Klipper, are both under active development, and, I would very much want to keep Marlin up to date. Creality tends to fall behind as it is. I'd update it.
I did this earlier, and the LCD said it was updating and was always stuck at a certain percentage and would not complete. I then tried a different micro SD card and formatted it to 4096 allocation size, then copied the folder over and tried it again and it worked.
Question, the nebula pad can also get printfiles via wifi or lan, rather than annoying usb stick or sd card swapping?
Second question, is the Creality Sonic Pad similar to nebula, re wifi and/or ethernet?
Both are The same. Sonic handles 4 machines. Nebula 1. They are Klipper. Everything is done wirelessly. K1, K1 Max, Ender 3 V3, Ender 3 V3 KE, CR10-SE, come with it.
@@3DRundown yeah, we sell K1 and K1 max in our shops. Though they call their Klipper "Creality OS", in violation of the GNU license, which I found a bit strange.
Thanks for your reply, I believe Nebula should be the way for me to upgrade since I can't do multiprint anyway (2 more printers, fron 2 different companies)
Meh, I don't lose sleep over that stuff, but some people do...
Nebula is a good call.
I have a problem where it seems to be stuck on the "Auto Z offset in progress" screen. The "nozzle heating" icon is not blinking, and no parts of the printer seem to be getting warm. Do you know what the issue might be? Or what I can check? I have tried multiple times reflashing the firmware to both the screen and the main board. Still no success.
Same, but for some odd reason, images and text don't show up.
Read some people who had similar issues when not using folder/not folder correctly. And some that need to rename files because of the filenames are too long....
Not tried this myself.
When doing the leveling, only numbers appear and not the leveling data as shown in the previous version, however when editing the leveling data it does show the information of the points where you level with the cr-tocuh?
You don't need to EDIT the leveling Data. It will create a mesh, and use that mesh, to adjust your 1st layer
Does the bed leveling work better running this firmware over the 1.0.4? I run 1.0.4 and need to edit the grid to get a good first layer on some spots on the bed.
@@johanflodkvist80 The same thing happens to me, the automatic leveling is very unreliable even after having leveled it manually, it usually changes the leveling by itself, that is, maybe in one print the first layer is perfect, but in the other with the same file it is slightly a little higher which can generate small gaps in the fill lines of the first layer, and I always have the doubt if the cr-tocuh is working as it should.
Does your GCODE have M420 S1 in it? So far, my SE hasn't had any issues with 1st layer
@@3DRundown yup, M420 S1 is present in the gcode. I guess our beds are just less flat than your bed 🙂
But Im looking forward to upgrading the firmware to see if that improves things.
I have an ender 3 pro and just installed the direct sprite extuder. Im having trouble with my prints now. Any chance you could help me out? I would greatly appreciate it.
Elaborate....
@@3DRundown after installing the new extruder and nozzle, the infill isn't connecting to the walls. It's stopping slightly short
You went from Bowden to DD.
Be sure you've got the correct Nozzle Size installed, and set in your Slicer (I assume 0.4).
Retractions need to change. Sprite will be 0.8mm/45mms
PID Tune, if your firmware allows
Set your Esteps to 424.9. But, you may need to calibrate that manually to dial it in. I don't usually find that necessary
I changed the e step and retraction distance already. I can't remember if I changed the speed or not. Could it be the slicer or firmware on the printer?
I assume you are adjusting your speed based on what's best for each model. Have you tried working with your flow rate? Trying different infill? More walls? The usual suspects? Perhaps estep value is not working out? Flow rate is too low... Experiment with some small test prints.
Hey, are there any new features or anything worth the effort on this update?
I haven't found a change-log for it. But, keeping up with the latest version of Marlin is a good idea. Creality tends to fall behind, and it's good to see them at least keeping up somewhat
@@3DRundown yeah, it definitely it's behind, I just got a v3 yesterday. I have a v2 with Mriscoc firmware installed and it it's LIGHT YEARS better, than the stock firmware on the v3. Can't wait for developers to make the cool stuff for the v3!
Your V3 should be running Klipper...
Hello, I tried to update the firmware but it appears in different languages really strange. I also tried to use different sd cards (clean ones) and still doesn’t work, any help please?
Should be an English version to DL. If not, you should be able to navigate the firmware to the language select screen and switch it to English. Maybe can find a video that shows where the language option is, so can follow in whatever language your seeing
Hello,i have a blue screen error.I did update lcd screen first just like you did.The screen has been successfully updated. Then when it comes to updating the mainboard, there is no update only blue screen.I have 16gb sd card.I formatted exactly like you did.I can't understand the problem. Please help me.
If the machine attempted to read the firmware, and it failed, or whatever, it will not read that same filename again. For a new attempt, rename that filename. Can be anything. Even just adding a number. Do that, and attempt again.
@@3DRundown Yes, I did that too.I gave it a different name.12.bin,1234.bin,firmware.bin...
İts not working
So my problem is I have a Neo3 and I have a chromebook. I updated the software, and it says I have no files on my SD and so the company gave me another file and it still doesn't recognize the file. I unzipped a file from another file and put it on the SD but it still doesn't see the file.
Need a memory card, 32gb or less, formatted in Fat32. Make sure have the correct file, on the root directory. Rename the file to something else, before trying again
@@3DRundown then it'll work on the chromebook?
All you need, is to put the file on the card... then the card goes in the printers, so, can use whatever you like, as long as the file gets the the card.
can the wifi box 2.0 do updates o/a ?
You bet. Hook it up, and push the firmware from Creality Cloud. It's super.
@@3DRundown thank you so much
@3DRundown can you do a video of show how to fix the gearing of the Extruder I think I said that right.
Got a frozen blue screen tried updating firmware and still frozen screen
Did Screen and Mainboard?
Memory card is 32gb or less? Formatted in Fat32? Rename firmware file before trying again
1st :)
