- In this video, I'll add the Creality Ender-3 V3 KE to Cura Slicer and use this Slicer to slice models that I can print on the Creality Ender-3 V3 KE.
This 3D Printer with Klipper usually comes with Creality Print to slice models that you can use for this printer, but I show you how you can use Cura Slicer for this printer as well. The method I show is making a basic Profile to get you going on your Creality Ender-3 V3 KE and Cura Slicer.

This is the best guide and most successful Cura profile for the KE for me so far. Tried a few but this has given me the best results
Oh wow, great to hear!
I ordered my KE yesterday - so found this very helpful and insightful. Thank you
You're very much welcome and thank you for this great comment
Thank you so much for this, i couldn't print a thing with cura before, you're a godsend🙏
Thank you very much. Sorry for the late reply
Amazing tutorial, would recommend to anyone that has an ender KE
Thank you very much
The Ender 3v3 specifically says the OS is based on Klipper so it seems logical that the KE (Klipper Edition?) also is.
Yes, it is Klipper Edition... it's the only thing that makes sense.
Thank you for this!
You're welcome!
Agree. Creality needs to invest more time in slicer profiles.
The machine is pretty good but the software is utter garbage.
Hey Chuck, indeed, they need to invest in the slicer profiles from other well-known Slicers, next to their Creality Print.
I'm getting some nice prints with Cura now with my KE, still maybe a bit tuning, but it is a start
Hey,I have a ender 3 ke .I followed this like you showed. Now I can't print.keep homing and then calibrating then giving me key 2111 unknown exception error. Please help .using cura
Do you know how to change nozzle diameter in the klipper software i seem to be locked out from doing so,,,,thanks
Hey Kevin, you have the KE? On the KE but also on the K1 the Klipper firmware is closed and you cannot change the nozzle diameter. In the Slicer, you don't have this option directly, but you can change it in the settings from your printer. you can find it in the tab Extrusion1 from the Printer settings
i've got 2252 error after this setup and its print just a long line except 1st layer test do you have any ideas?
I thought Creality used Klipper bot the v3 ke? Heard it in a few reviews I watched before I got this printer
Yes, the Creality KE is based on Klipper, but Klipper isn't in the Gcode flavor. I did look for it when I did this video, but it wasn't there. If you check the Voron Designs in the ADD PRINTER, you'll see that the Voron 0(for example) is running Reprap Gcode Flavor instead of Marlin.
is this the same for the ender 3 v3 se version? looking to buy a 3d printer and am used to the cura slicer
Hello, yes, you can do the same thing for the Creality Ender-3 SE too.
thank you!!!!
Thank you too!
I used the same settings you provided with my KE, the prints came out perfect thanks a lot.
But the speed is way lower than the first benchy I printed. which took only 16min with the benchy file that came with the printer. with your settings it took 55 min, do you know why?
Someone mentioned to me that the Benchy on the USB drive is a "speed Benchy", and is somehow calibrated to be very quick. Every other Benchy I have tried slicing is about an hour. No clue why though
Thank you. The slice shows a different duration and the actual printing time on the KE. This video was made to show people that they can use a different slicer. I have printed many other models in the meantime and the prints are faster done then mentioned in the slicer.
Yeah true, I don't know which settings they have used and how it was sliced. I did try to go faster, but I didn't had too much time to find it
I generally like Creality Print the only down side is that I can't Pause At Height to swap filaments. I need that for HueForge prints.
Something I just tried last night for this out of Creality Print was use the slicer to go through your layers and find which layer you want to change filament at and note down the number. Save your gcode directly to your PC and open that file in notepad and search for that, for example search LAYER:26.
Directly under that line in notepad create a new line that just says PAUSE.
Printer will then pause and wait for resume to be pressed when you reach that layer. Not a perfect solution I know but its a work around.
Hi, maybe you can edit the gcode with a M600 line at the right height...
Whats with the live streams? did you have a break, or stopped the friday streams?
Yeah... a little break for a while, maybe this Friday
Made my Day!!! Thx a lot!!
Thank you my friend
ajudo bastante muito obrigado
muito obrigado
I keep getting spaghetti after 5cm of height. Can you export your settings and share them somewhere? I think I might have missed something.
🤔 that’s weird… I think you missed something… can you check it again and start a new profile. Check if your printer has some offset
Thank you so much!!! this the best tutorial ever! So I have a question, do you recommended me work with full speed printing?
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you. You can go full speed, but going with less speed will give nicer print results. You should try out what works the best for you
@@Zachary3DPrints No worries! Thanks a lot!
thanks
You're welcome!
Can I connect to the printer on Wi-Fi or do I have to use the USB drive?
You can add this printer to your WiFi network by following the needed steps. If for some reason you don't want to do that, you can use the USB drive
@@Zachary3DPrints I try connecting and it doesn’t come out in CURA?
If you have added this printer in Cura, after slicing you can export the file via USB drive
Hey my printer won't connect wirelessly to it, and I don't know how to give these files to it without it being wireless
Doesn't look like you're going to get an answer. I have the same problem. The only slicer that finds the printer is Creality print. Tried a few including Orca and they just don't find the printer, even when I put in the IP address. So, still waiting....
@@warwickwas same here idk how to connect it tho WiFi 😢 😂 and I tried putting it in the USB didn’t work
Hey, sorry for my late reply. I don't know if you found a way to connect to WiFi... but you need to follow the set up with Creality Cloud, as far as I know, I didn't try without using Creality Cloud yet.
Hey dude, everyone gets an answer... it takes a bit of time. If the printer was setup with Creality Cloud, it should have a IP address, after that you can use the IP to send files over.
Hmmm, OK. I'll see what I can do... give me a week
what about the v3 SE?
There already is a built-in Cura Profile for the SE. Look at 2:20 (4 entries down the list)
I received an error code ( Warning Key 2111 Unknown Exception) after the bed leveling step in printing process. I added a printer same as you did in Cura. Added the G29 g-code line. Changed a lot of print settings. I'm wondering if maybe my version of Cura is causing a problem. I'm using 4.12.0 Which version are you running? I'm just looking for any help. I absolutely HATE the supports in Creality slicer. Big fat blocks. All I'm really familiar with is Cura, had I known upfront the KE wasn't compatible right away with Cura I would not have bought this machine. Ah hindsight....
I have exactly the same problem. It must have something to do with the start code . Have you found a solution yet? I have noticed that the error occurs because the nozzle cools down too much after the second homing. I was able to partially avoid the problem by setting the nozzle to 180 degrees at abl (in the printer's fw). However, it does not take over the temperatures of the filament profiles
Same here, i doubt this dude is going to answer after almost 2 weeks.
Hi there, I did use Cura 5.6.0. in the video, and I checked again, I do have the G29 in the start gcode and mine is working normally without any issue. I hate also the supports in Creality Print... they are the worst... maybe I should do more videos about those...
Anyways, I think that Creality should make more profiles in other slicers as well, so people can choose
Hello, I only have added the G29 into the start print gcode and it works fine... I did several test prints before I made this video. The hotend fan and both part fans are also working as they suppose to.
The printer does run a printer sequence before starting the print as in the start print gcode
Hey @Carvedfromlife8949, I do respond to comments... I'm not always able to do this directly, since I have a very full agenda, but I do respond! Can I help you with something? I'll promise to respond asap 😉
CAN I USE THESE SETTINGS FOR THE V3 SE AS WELL?
Hey buddy, I think that it would work better to use a Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro profile adapted to the SE specs.
THANKS FOR THAT, FOR MAC CREALITY SLICER SEEMS TO CRASH ALOT AND THE PROFILE FOR THE ENDER SE IN CURA IHAS NOT BEEN GIVING ME GOOD PRINTS AT ALL NOW THAT I SWITCH TO THE S1 PRINTER PROFILE IN CURA THERE IS MUCH IMPROVEMENT. STILL I WANT TO BRING OUT FULL POWER OF SE ANY SUGGESTIONS?
@@Zachary3DPrints
Most of the times I use Prusa Slicer for my 3D printers, especially for the Creality Printers, in Prusa Slicer I use the Ender-3 S1 Pro. Did you tried that one?
Cura 5.6.0 has a V3 SE profile built-in
You gotta root it and get it going in Orca slicer. I uninstalled Cura and don't use Creality Slicer, lol.
Yeah I don't know why people are even bothering with creality slicer. There is also Cura profiles people can import from GitHub. But honestly, Cura rarely does anything better than Orca, in my experience.
Hey, thank you. I'm working on Orca Slicer video
Пожалуйста кто нибудь на русском языке не спеша обьясните
Спасибо, у меня нет перевода на русский. Русских субтитров нет?

Awesome guides but one thing : Not an expert about GCODES but on my gcodes generated by creality it is mentioned clearly FLAVOR : Marlin
Thank you Kaiser. Before I made this video, I have tried different settings in Marlin and all came out with the same defects. I have checked the Gcode files and all said Creality OS, even using Find function did not give the Marlin flavor somewhere.
Which Printer did you use this on?
