    Hey, I have a few problems with my 3d printer i got for the holidays.. the printer i have is the creality 6 SE and when is printing, the filament doesnt actually go ON the bed. It curls up and stays next to the nozzle. Another question is before the printer starts printing, there is some excess filament coming out. should i remove the excess filament before it starts printing? should i heat up the nozzle, tighten the belts, or do something else? Nice Video, and I hope i can have some answers. Thanks!!

    Gotta question, if you have a 3d printer that you just purchased, and I know you mentioned the belts being already tightened up enough. How would you know for a fact that the g-code file is bad? Is there a way to physically look into the code line by line if needed and make the correction? Or is it just a matter of dragging and dropping if you have like printers and same flavor firmware to do it that way?

    I have a 3D printer that when I try and heat the hot bed the printer shuts down and restarts.
    It is an IDEX printer, when I heat the nozzles, they heat up fine, when I move the X-axis it moves fine. Z is fine and Y is fine as well, so I eliminated the steppers having a short or nozzles. The company sent me a new hot bed, I plugged it in and it did the same same exact thing. No viable burn marks on any component on the controller board that I can see. Any ideas where to go from here? I want to say it is the power supply but I do not know how to check this. I have some basic electrical knowledge but have now gotten in deeper then my knowledge. The wires have all been checked for resistance and show good results. i measured voltage in and out today at the cpu said voltage in was 121 v voltage out was 52v that seems hi to me as the cpu tag says 500 w and 24 v and 21 amp what do you think i should try now ?

  • @ChrisJohnson-tn1mo
    @ChrisJohnson-tn1mo ปีที่แล้ว +3

    One thing I’d like to add to layer shifting issue’s is that it could be a situation where your nozzle snags on the print itself and gets hug up enough that it pulls the whole bed a little because those clips aren’t all that strong holding the bed in place. I find that I either needed to slow down my print a little to avoid jerking, nozzle issues with over extruding due to a worn nozzle and of course z hop to compensate. So when before I start my prints now I make sure to check that the bed is squared up. That way if i see layer shift I can first check that the bed didn’t shift on me.

    • @jonathonantonio1973
      @jonathonantonio1973 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had a layer shift in one of my recent prints and while I didn’t witness it happen unfortunately I’m pretty sure this was the cause. It was a statue with long hair and I didn’t support the bottom of it very well.
      The bottom of the hair snapped off it’s stand in the same layer the layer shift occurred. Somehow miraculously the rest of the print continued without issue and I was able to break the parts at the layer shift and glue the whole thing together.

    I'm actually struggling with a weird problem. I have an ender 3 v2 and for the past 3 or so months my prints started having these weird stringy blobs everywhere. I'm thinking it could be a retraction problem cause it mostly happens when my printer head stops printing to go to another part of the model. And the top layer sometimes has blobs on top which kinda hook the nozzle and cause the prints to break from the supports or even fall over entirely. I used to have faith in my printer and go to school or whatever while it's working on a 20+ hour print but now I'm scared to even sleep while it's printing.

    I purchased a two tone pla from amazon and the extruder keeps skipping. It only does this for that particular pla brand. I raised the temp up to 230 on the extuder, put the bed at 60 degrees and it still caused the clicking sound. Is there supposed to be higher temperatures for those materials? I am at a loss! I've kept leveling the bed and all other PLAs work. I just removed the two tone and put a single color PLA and it worked just fine.

    Ok I need some assistance. I've been printing for 5 months now. I've made some great stuff (thank you Frank) the current problems I am having are, Nozzle build up and won't stick to the glass bed unless I use glue sticks. I need some help sir. I haven't found anything outside of leveling the bed( I've leveled the bed 8,000 times it's as level as it will ever get. so I need some help please.

    I wish I could just send my printer (creality s1 plus) to you and see if you could figure it out. Crazy layer shifting and I have done everything you suggested. Creality themselves looked at it and couldn't fix it and refused to replace it.

    First & foremost thanks for the videos! I started following a month back & now I just unboxed my own Neptune 3 Pro. I do have a question - any recommendations on where to buy spare parts? I can’t seem to find much on Elegoos site… things like filament detectors, etc. thanks again!

The raft keeps printing perfectly, but starts to bend up off the bed once it is finished, causing the whole print to fail. Question: My 3d printer just won’t print. It will meet all the temperature requirements to print a file but after that it just won’t move or do anything at all and I tried pressing the Pause and Stop option to cancel the print but both are unresponsive, no matter how many times I press them they just don’t do anything.
    How do I fix it?

    so im new at this 3d printing thing and i just started mine today, i was wondering, if im not using my printer, do i turn it off overnight then turn it on when i use it again? or do i leave it on and take the filament out? ive been looking it up and i cant really find an answer cause its just telling me if i should leave it on while printing. what should i do?

    These questions might be a bit out there, but i rent a room and i have other roommates so the machine would be standing in my room.
    Healthwise is that a bad idea? Melting plastic and all.
    How bad is the smell? Does it stick, will the entire house smell like it?
    Will I or any other roommate be able to sleep when the machine is running (in general, i know sound differs per machine)
