I think extra performance would have really helped separate the Scorpion in being the halo version of the Stinger, but how about a special badge of a Scorpion somewhere on the car, like how Dodge has the Bee, Demon, and Hellcat badges. Corvette has a Stingray. The Mustang has a Cobra. Why not have a badge of a Scorpion on it. I think that would have really set it off.
Is it a new emissions thing or they are waiting for the sales to pick up? I would have gone with slightly wider tires in the rear. Did a Scorpion Yellow (or whatever color) theme; Black Chrome Scorpion badge on the trunk lid, Scorpion yellow seat belts on the front and rear. Embroidered Scorpion lettering on the headrest, All that silver- gone. Replace it with a nickel black finish. Bronze/ Brass color finish on the paddle shifters and the Start/ Stop button and on the underside of the shifter. Top of the shifter with the crushed carbon fiber. Crushed Carbon fiber replaces all the other Carbon fiber and around the air vents. Lastly- Ambient lighting on the interior and the door sill. I don't know why North America can't get a TFT digital display on the dash- An exclusive Aggressive Scorpion edition start up and Sport Mode + would have great for the 400+ HP and Scorpion color matched calipers.

With a JB4 and some aftermarket air intake snorkels you can easily get over 400 horsepower to the wheels with a Stinger. About $1,000 worth of mods is totally worth it. Those mods take the 0-60 mph down to 4.0 and 12.12 in the 1/4 mile.

Well, it does look better, I think there's no question about that. But it would be nice if they gave it a bit more than the TRD treatment, and gave it a little HP bump and some handling or braking improvement.
I agree. I've been eyeing both the Stinger and the TRD. Would be nice if we saw the GT logos in a prominent red color at the headrests with matching red seatbelts and of course some badges similar to Toyota's TRD.
The Stinger is more sporty looking and the G70 is more luxurious looking. My old self likes the G70 more. Thanks for the review Joe. Great job you and Lori are doing! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
I can't stop checking out this car when it has that color.... color, body, wheels, curves, edges... that Stinger is just so freaking sexy. oh that paint color... gets me every time. hope to test drive one someday..
The best part about the stinger is the AWD option. Other than the germans (BMW and Audi), nobody makes a good looking AWD sedan or coupe. For those of us who live in a snowy icy climate, those cool looking rwd or fwd cars really aren’t even an option.
Agree, 400 horsepower would have been the Business, for that price point but it's still a very cool car! Good review as always and thanks again Raiti and Lori!
I would take a manual in a sports/sporty car any day of the week compared to the best automatic anyone has to offer. That's just me. It's just so much more engaging to drive. I have a '19 Mazda Mx-5 club/Brembo package with a manual. It's not even a car I would consider even if given to me. Now I'm not saying automatic cars aren't nice but you're taking all of the fun out of it when doing away with a stick. My two cents
Thank you for covering this. I was looking for what the latest upgrades were on the Stinger. I love my 2018 Stinger GT2. I love it, and the features they have added to the 2022 that make this model even better. If you are on the fence, go check one out. They are amazing and the price is good.
I have a 2021 Stinger. My only complaint is that at the price point, we should have more horsepower then 365. A Camaro has 455 stock, a challenger 392 has 485 stock, a red sport Infiniti has 400 stock and so on so forth. We should be in the 450’s without a doubt. The compliments I get are nice because you don’t see a lot of stingers on the road but still more performance would be nice.
Nice car and another great video. I think $1295 is a good deal for the Scorpion edition. I am with you on the lack of Scorpion badges, seems like a missed opportunity to not have a little scorpion on the back end somewhere, or maybe the sides. Extra power would have been nice as well, though i suspect it would be at a cost. If you really want to be the Scorpion King though, gonna have to blast 'Rock you like a Hurricane' from those speaker while going on throttle!
If that had an Audi badge,it would be an 80K plus car easy, this car's a steal at 53K,not mention the long term maint costs being a Kia means you can keep it in good shape without going broke at the dealer, the redesigned badging was a genius move as well, this is one smokin lookin rig,not to mention just driving something other than an SUV makes you an instant rebel😄

You’re absolutely right Joe! I’ve made my decision on what vehicle I’m going to purchase when I come home from overseas. I appreciate all of your awesome content. Thank you Lori for your amazing camera work. You are amazing as well. This Stinger GT2 Scorpion Edition is my pick from the lottery! Thanks again Joe and Lori! 💯🔥
I’m overseas rn on a deployment lol I’m thinking of doing the same
Just bought a GT Scorpion. Truly an amazing car.
enjoy ur moment while you can.. its end of an era
I really miss seeing what Android Auto looks like when you're reviewing the infotainment. Is it possible to start that up again (even with just a burner phone)? Surely it's relevant to more people than SiriusXM.
agreed
Thanks fir the feedback!

1 - Few extra hp to bring up to 400+ hp and some performance updates such as accents on seats and dashboard.
2 - Functional heat extractors.
3 - Blacked out stinger and kia logos for this scorpion edition along with panoramic sunroof.
4 - Add blacked out Scorpio 🦂badge above Stinger name in the back.
5 - Address ZONKS Raity mentioned.

Saw one of these at the Kia dealership by my house today and instantly fell in love. Stopped in and one of the sales guys there was cool enough to let me check it out and drive it and hooooly cow is this car sweet! It has such a luxurious but aggressive presence about it and it scoots really well. The interior quality and all the features are awesome too. Definitely keeping this in mind when my current lease is up. Thanks for the awesome review as always Joe!
It's really gonna bite u hard when u see a scorpion edition stinger.
Right in the neck!
Lol 😂 Scorpion sting not bite
I have the GT2 tourer edition with red seat belts. This is the third Stinger in 5 years. The best car I have ever had. Perfect balance between price, performance, utility, and design. Wolf Grey with black wheels is the best. Now knowing is already discontinued, I will buy it once gets depreciated a couple of years in the leasing. Best car Kia ever made!
Thanks for sharing that great input from your experience.
Kia’s have been turning my head lately with their cars and SUVs.
Tell me about it! They did such a great job!
Hands down the most surprised I’ve ever been the first time test driving the Stinger in AWD. Probably should have bought it but fell in love with the sound of American V8. Sound is the biggest room for improvement for the Stinger IMO, everything else is fantastic
Thanks for sharing your input from your experience!
@@RaitisRides my pleasure !! It’s funny I bought a Challenger but rave about the Stinger when car talk comes up as it caught me by such surprise. It would roast an RT and give a Scat Pack fits in a 1/4 mile to boot. Ps love the content, hands down my favourite channel
Damn never thought Kia would make sick looking cars!
I saw this car in traffic in a yellow color! I tought it was a supercar. This car look even more amazing in person. Its crazyy
Using the scorpion is a very smart product marketing decision.
They should use a scorpion logo on the hood
I agree with you!
@@arrogen2831 I like the way that you think!
@@arrogen2831 I’d sure buy it!! Plus my birth sign is Scorpio so win-win!!
Went with the black one and tinted the windows super dark - Love It!!
Best part is the my golf clubs fit in the trunk :)
This video just seal the deal for me, I just need to save up and get one.
I have '19 GT 2, fabulous car. People stop me, stare at the ceramic silver color and ask what is it? No problems so far at all, fun to drive and fast! I had a '98 Vette before this. The Kia is as fast and very comfortable for 4 people. Even by today's standards, it is up to date with safety features.
Nice car. Should have been given more hp for this “special edition”. 400 hp sounds right.
every single freaking car company does this, all these sports performance cars, the genesis, kia, i30n etc all start at such low HP why is this? they never bring out something that's just a beast, like the c63 n mustangs n shit. i don't understand lol
They should have stitched an image of a scorpion in the headrest.
Maybe the best looking stinger you have shown us.
I see so many cars that I admire and want, then how on Earth do I make such large money to get as much cars that I want without thinking twice!!!
It's frustrating when you think about this but realise that it's not easy to afford!!! 😅
It's very important for one to have different streams of income☺
I've got interest in investing but afraid of doing it on my own to avoid loss from my own end 😕🥴
that's why you need the help of a professional who trade and understand the market more to earn good income.
These professionals understand the markets like it's there own farm and makes maximum profits for investors.
I have been investing and doing it on my own but end up losing all
Just last week i lost $7,450🤨😮
I'll recommend my professional Mr Barry, My first investement with him earned me a total profits of $28,300
And ever since then he keeps delivering
Every single video I wait for the “ON THROTTLE!”
Lol 😂
That shit is funny asf 🤣
I like :
The new clean kia logo
The spoiler is a nice touch
The wheels
The Camera
The carbon fiber part in the interior
I don't like
This body color
The fake vents
The overall busy design
Overall Kia has improved in the recent years good job 👏
Now that is a sexy car . Love the color and I am actually considering this stinger now . Thanks for the review bro 🤟🏼
I love this vehicle. I have the 2022 Stinger GT, the same color as this one. I love that this one has the updated camera and the blind spot/ top view display. I agree theres no identification showing its a scorpion. Having a scorpion logo on the back would be cool!
I am so glad that I can share it with you Kay!
When you are right. You're right. Joe
Oh, 50 grand, nope. I would get a Mach 1
Mustang
And that stinger will smoke a Mach 1 in 0-60, and 1/4 mile time, all while getting better gas mileage, and carrying two more passengers in the back seat
@@erikdrummond7004 What about a scar pack
@@erikdrummond7004 The Stinger sold only 13000 copies in 2020, down from 17000 copies in 2018. The days are numbered for this $53,000 car. Kia just dropped two models from their US lineup.
SUVs are no longer just popular; they’re omnipresent. Unfortunately, that spells doom for well-respected sedans like the Kia K900 and Cadenza which is be discontinued
you do the best car reviews on youtube bar none. love your videos, and your wife does good camera work. love to see her in the videos
Thanks Larry! We appreciate you so much!😎👍🏻
This new K/A stinger looks great .
This my second time watching this video because I'm in the market for a 2022 stinger and your video have been really helpful...
With a JB4 and some aftermarket air intake snorkels you can easily get over 400 horsepower to the wheels with a Stinger. About $1,000 worth of mods is totally worth it. Those mods take the 0-60 mph down to 4.0 and 12.12 in the 1/4 mile.
Or, if you measure 0-60 the way Tesla does, about 3.3 seconds :D
It will not hit 400whp lmao. Maybe to the crank lol
@@Fr33man1988 it actually is more like 410 horsepower to the wheels. Runs 12.1 @ 116+ mph with just a piggyback and basically no mods.
Im getting this car shortly..definitely gorgeous...my friend just bought this with everything possible.. its fast..its sucked me into the seat 0 to 60 sooo fast..i was shocked..now i want it and im getting it.😁
i love your sense of humor! you’re like, “you can store all your coins you’ve been saving for, you can even have about 12 snicker bars here” 😂😂
Thanks for letting me share the cars and some laughs with you!
I never miss your reviews. I pray you get to a million subscribers soon. 🙏🏿
Well, it does look better, I think there's no question about that. But it would be nice if they gave it a bit more than the TRD treatment, and gave it a little HP bump and some handling or braking improvement.
You are so very right!
I agree. I've been eyeing both the Stinger and the TRD. Would be nice if we saw the GT logos in a prominent red color at the headrests with matching red seatbelts and of course some badges similar to Toyota's TRD.
Every car reviewer needs to take notes fr this man. Always fun. Also the car is amazing!
The Stinger is more sporty looking and the G70 is more luxurious looking. My old self likes the G70 more. Thanks for the review Joe. Great job you and Lori are doing! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
American flag? Its a Korean car. Buy American.
@@SuperKshepherd You are correct. I’m American. 🇺🇸
I agree. I have a G70, and I prefer the more luxurious G70. In my opinion, the G70 looks better.
@@LS1007 Me too but you pit an american flag after your post commenting on a korean car. Does that make any sense? Enjoy your day.
@@SuperKshepherd Makes sense to me.
I can't stop checking out this car when it has that color.... color, body, wheels, curves, edges... that Stinger is just so freaking sexy. oh that paint color... gets me every time. hope to test drive one someday..
Overall a nice car, but the rear spoiler seems like an after thought, they should have gone with duck lip spoiler.
Or have the option for one or the other, or like the r32 gtr wings can be modified with a carbon lip on the top
@@markosgarcia8297 true, options would have been even better.
The best part about the stinger is the AWD option. Other than the germans (BMW and Audi), nobody makes a good looking AWD sedan or coupe. For those of us who live in a snowy icy climate, those cool looking rwd or fwd cars really aren’t even an option.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one!
Man when I find the right used one it might just come to the team! It should have 400 plus hp the spoiler should've been adjustable aswell.
That is a very good point about the Stinger.
Agree, 400 horsepower would have been the Business, for that price point but it's still a very cool car! Good review as always and thanks again Raiti and Lori!
This car would be even better with a 6 speed manual. Fingers crossed Kia does it
Don't hold your breathe!
Will never happen, people don't buy manual anymore
Yes we do👍
That won't ever happen with this car. The 8 speed in it is so responsive that it would be a disservice if Hyundai AG does that.
You are so very welcome Daniel!
Nice spec on this one Joe. 👌🏻
God bless you raiti and your family 🙏🏻
The way the car moves 👌 I wish it was louder
Same here, it’s really got me considering the Elantra N. Can’t wait til they roll it out
Another great review! Dug the scorpion jokes, it was a misfire with zero scorpion badging. Way to go Lori!!
Hey Mathew! Thanks for letting me share this Special stinger with you. I totally agree that it needed something a little more.
The salesman tells me be careful that scorpion does sting.
lol
Ceramic Silver any day, ALL day. Not that this car wouldn't look good in any other color, but that Ceramic Silver is just absolutely striking.
Been waiting for this.
The refreshed rear is nice. Seems like a scorpion should have a power boost over the standard GT.
Yeah but you can always add a Burger Motorsports JB4. Easily knock a full second off the stock ET with Ethanol Blends (E30).
Totally agree on extra grunt for the special edition. Great review!
Might even be a dealbreaker😔
