  • The Stinger GT is still with us and Kia is continuing with this RWD performance sedan. On the outside you will still find that sexy sport back design, 19in wheels and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside there is a full leather interior. Under the hood is a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 that is pumping out 368HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 Kia Stinger GT a BETTER luxury sedan than a Mercedes AMG C43?

Awesome review!! This is one fine car! I'm leasing the GT-Line. Awesome styling catches stares and sparks up conversations everywhere I go. The proportions make it classically attractive, inside and out, and with the Sun and Sound package you get a sound system with two subs that really delivers rich deep sound. Handling dynamics add to the joy of driving it so it never feels dull or boring plus the additional horsepower/torque give it plenty of pep to get around traffic easily. I high recommend this Grand Tourer to anyone who enjoys driving and doing it in style. Leasing it makes very affordable. I thought of opting for the 6 cylinder but ultimately did not feel the additional money was worth the extra half second faster 0 to 60 time. It's quick and nimble! Besides, you don't want to speed by, you want admirers to get a good view as you cruise by. I searched the market closely and carefully and nothing is as affordable and good looking as this GT-Line Stinger is. Truly the best bang for your dollar! Every time you walk up to it, you'll smile because the Stinger stands out, in the best way, its classy from every angle and so very well proportioned. You will not be disappointed. We have a black stinger that we wrapped in satin aqua (and left the top black). We also removed the Kia badging and put some custom Stinger badging on it. People always ask what type of car it is and are surprised when I tell them it's a Kia. Absolutely love this car.

The Stinger is really a good car; I've owned two of them-a 2018 GT1, and when my lease was up, a 2020 GT Line since I didn't need all that horsepower. I was a VW/BMW fanboy previously. Alas, my dream car for the past 5 years has been a Giulia, which I finally pulled the trigger on last month after some research and praying the 2022 model I got (just like the Veloce you reviewed not too long ago) would be relatively reliable. I miss my Stinger-the styling makes my heart flutter, and I had ZERO squeaks and rattles on both; excellent build quality and excellent Harmon Kardon. Drivewise, it of course doesn't handle like a Giulia but I'll be damned if the delta between driving fun and balance between the Stinger and Giulia is not too far. A testament to how Kia really knocked it out of the park with this one!

The GT-Line starts at approx 36 and the headlights don't look like poo anymore. LOTS of cars are "locked down" on repo lots and aren't selling at dealer auctions. At some point the floodgates have to open. If you can wait, wait. The best time to buy is when you don't need to.
Market is already correcting, and premium sport sedans are going to be one of the "hardest droppers" next to gas-guzzling full SUVs. Trend expected to roll downhill into next year. Nov/Dec is best time to get into CURRENT (and last year unsold) models.

Those fake grill vents and rear grill vents are actually brought-over from the optima when the stinger was designed for 2018. The optima had those since it's redesign in 2011 (pretty sure) so they definitely look a little dated. They should do a partial redesign of the stinger, in my opinion, to incorporate those sharper and very modern looking elements from the K5. They should also update the interior to infuse that slightly more upscale image and keep those quality of life simplicities it currently has. Great review!
