Thanks for the video. Clever of you to use the new slide lock to push out the old and simultaneously insert the new one. I probably wouldn't have thought of it!
I followed your directions after watching the video twice to make SURE I had the lever right side up, etc and it worked PERFECTLY. Only took a few minutes, and while I was in there, I replaced the muzzle spring with the NDZ performance accessories kit and went with the 20 lb replacement since the stock is 18 lbs.
Great video. Clear and straight to the point. One thing I would like to mention is on the CA compliant version of this pistol there is a magazine lock lever. You will never be able to get the slide off until you use a screwdriver to push down the magazine lock.
Thanks again! I just received my extended lever and it took me about 30 seconds to install it. I used a small flathead screwdriver to hold the spring down. Your video saved me much time!
@@rickysreviewsandhowtos I kid you not...in my view this is the most beneficial modification one can make to this firearm. I was 'miserable' before, now it's a new day! haha
Just take your factory one and a dremel type tool with small diamond tip bits and make the stock part more aggressive! That way you get the grip but low profile! I stripped the black off and polished it up a lil so the piece shines a lil!
if that's what you want to do, great! I prefer mine to stick out a little more so got an extended piece for like 10 bucks and 30 seconds of work. also can make it "Stock" again in 30 seconds this way. but it's a good idea for anyone that doesn't want to buy the replacement. thanks for the input
Awesome video! Thank you! Just got my SD9 and this is an upgrade I definitely want to do on it. Did the slightly extended takedown lever change the way it fits into holsters at all for you? I’m curious if it would make a difference in something like a kydex holster.
I used 2 different holsters and dis not have any issues, it is minimal as far how much it extends out but just enough to make a big difference when trying to remove the slide. Glad the video helped
Thank you so much for the clear in frame video. Just changed the pin on my S&W SD40 VE using your method and worked like a charm
Glad it was useful!

I agree, it makes breaking down so much easier, mine already had the hi viz sights, I might replace the spring kit or trigger but I'm not sure
Great video!
AWESOME thank you so much !!
Thanks Richard Ive been looking for this video forever.

what sights are those and did you have any issues with the screw to put the rear ones in place?
those are actually the stock sights. They had two versions these are the "high viz" sights so I actually did not replace them
