I'm very impressed with this program! He really focuses on addressing the issues instead of applying a superficial fix like similar American programs do. Totally agree. My orthopaedist gave me the wrong diagnosis after a five minute consult. Three months later I was in extreme pain, had nerve damage, couldn't walk, needed spinal surgery and rehab and missed six months of work. If he'd taken the time to really listen and maybe ask one or two more questions I would have had a chance at conservative treatment.

wow, I'm really intaking new information (like I didn't even know what ARFID was) and learning to be empathetic from this doctor! The bugs on plate for Hoshi really made me regret not thinking as serious, like I never knew it could be so bad!
Also when the doctor said 'she could just be trying to please me and saying the right things', I was impressed as someone who has depression and anxiety, many of us hide/lie what we're feeling and say/do what our therapists tells us. The amount of times I've lied and said I'm better and ended up in a hospital or psych ward, yet this doctor pointed this out and always knew there was that possibility.

That must have been so incredibly hard for the kid to go through. When dealing with food and weight an appearance, you really need to be careful with the mental/emotional/psychological aspects of things, so I hope he didn't develop any bad habits or mindsets. Go easy on yourself ❤

I feel bad for Kiki when he had to start the diet, when i was younger i needed to start the same diet as him (kinda), i couldnt eat gluten and i still cant but to know that i had to do that diet to see where i was allergic for. Frustrating but he’ll get trough it!

@@spiralpython1989 I am neurodivergent and I often eat the same things but I find I am generally not anxious at all trying new things. It's just if my fave meal option is present, I will choose it every time. I also do not like cooking and do not find it interesting. So I will read or write instead of cooking because if I have free time I prefer to do something I like more. So I find the same reason why I pick my fave foods over and over is less anxiety and more "I am pretty sure I will prefer this over anything else...why eat something that I think is second best?"
But my diet is much larger than this girl's. And if my favourite foods are not available and I am hungry I will choose something else and not generally be too put off. I can eat the same food over and over and not get bored. I ate a Beyond Meat veggie burger with soy cheese and an espresso every lunch for 1.5 years. But I don't have the same condition as Hoshi.

@@MarieSallaupHalse so same. I am actually better at trying new foods on my own and keeping it a secret, or with my boyfriend on good days (also nice because if I don't, he just finishes it.) Or simply the dishes my mother in law makes (her cooking is sooo good. I actually don't hate spices with her stuff.)
But at my parents? Hell no.
      They'd constantly make comments etc.
I can't do it every day. Sometimes I have a bad day. Then I definetly cannot and if my boyfriend tries, it goes wrong. If we were going to make something and suddenly it is different. I also freak out.
