My mom only lets me and my brothers drink it on special days like when we get good grades or birthdays and it is addicting, but my mom doesn't want us to get sick so she told us crazy stories when i was like 7 and now im 13😂
It's really absurd but in many cultures (expeciall southern countries) it is normal to give your child coke. my dad's from kosovo and the last time I went there to visit relatives , there were litteraly babies who had the sweetes of drinks in their sippy cups. It's absurd but they all somehow turn out healthy and skinny --
@@daddylingo9295 my parents are from Kosovo and I‘ve never seen that. I have seen my little cousins eat sweets (like actual gummy bears with sugar on them) but never coke in a bottle for toddlers. Multi Vitamin Drink, yes, but not so often coke. My mom also didn’t allow me a lot of coke when I was younger and most likely on special occasions. Meanwhile my mom was tricked by the title of multi vitamin and thinking it was actually a little bit healthy✋🏼 But I also know they are in general a little more careless when it comes to the diet of their children which is kinda sad😕
I don’t want to bash anyone but when your CHILD is drinking 6 cans of cola a day and eating a takeaway pretty much every night that’s in my opinion neglect. Totally unacceptable
This is insane. Our daughter went through a textures phase and so we met with a dietitian. Best advice she told us was, “a child never died of starvation with a plate full of food in front of them,” meaning that the child can say no to eating all they want and that’s fine. They’ll start to understand that when they are hungry, they’ll eat.
i tell my daughter to brush her teeth and she sees me brushing mine and shes loves it im a new mom im seeing all theses comments it is concering to us parents to the moms who do cook healthy good job
@@sandy5149 Cannot agree with this enough. True ARFID and sensory avoidance in neurodivergent individuals do in fact starve with a plate full of food in front of them.
Shit. If they have to be trash parents, couldn't they at least give the kid caffeine and sugar free fizzy drinks? I know it's still bad but it's at least a token effort at caring.
I’m genuinely surprised that the little boy drinking 6 sodas a day was ONLY borderline anemic and not suffering from anything else. Thats a disturbing amount for a grown adult, let alone a literal BABY.
The audacity this woman has complaining about the fact that her baby can’t sleep and keeps her up *while she’s the one giving him 6 cans of Coca Cola loaded with caffeine* Ugh.
I get annoyed at my husband if he drinks coke in front of our kids because of the example it sets them! So bad, it’s complete neglect of the child’s needs!!! I hope they genuinely want change!!!
Growing up, I used to be so jealous of all the kids whose parents let them keep sugary snacks and drinks in the house and get fast food almost every night. I’m so thankful that my family put in the time and effort to teach me better eating habits
Oh hell yes, my family cooked home-cooked meals every day, and now me and my husband make home-cooked meals every day for our two kids. One and four years old
My baby had an eating disorder and would vomit if you even touched his tongue with food. I knew he should be eating real food but every meal turned into him crying and then me crying. We got help after a few months. I didn’t know feeding therapy was even a thing. Turns out he had a sensory based eating disorder and his gag reflex was triggered at the front of his mouth. We spent almost two years in feeding therapy. We had to retrain the reflex, then develop a routine where the table was a pleasant place where he was encouraged to touch, smell, lick, then put the food in his mouth and then spit it out….then eventually chew it up and eat it. We worked so hard. I’ll never forget that first meeting with the therapist and her getting him to eat a freeze dried yogurt bite. I sat in the corner with tears rolling down my cheeks. She let him go play with books and toys in another corner and then turned to me and gently said “ok, so no more crying mom. You will never cry at the table again. You can cry when he is asleep if you need to, but he will not see distress from you about food ever again, understand?” I committed to it. My now 6 yr old eats broiled fish with veggies, his favorite food is chicken salad and while we have an occasional fast food meal, he knows that is a rarity. I make homemade pizzas and cookies here and there so he isn’t deprived of the fun things, but we talk about our food and how it helps our body work right and feel good. It’s been a long journey but I’m doing the best I can.
It really seems to be a common cause that the parents are too stressed and panicked about the toddler's issue, and then they see the parents' reaction, and decide to hate the food even more 😅 saw that recently with my niece.
@@DanaGoldbergMD I started with our pediatrician. In Tennessee there are free interventions, but we chose a private therapy group instead. At that time his feeding therapy fell under the speech therapy umbrella, feeding therapy wasn’t recognized as a separate thing here then, so a speech therapist conducted it but she never worked on his speech, just his eating. We went once a week but I worked with him every day for three meals and two snacks.
Haha yep. These "parents" are straight up next level lazy/ negligent. Take them all to jail. This is so not okay. If I knew someone personally who treats their kids this way you know I would call CPS on them constantly. Those kids teeth are gonna be non existent by the time they are 20. Eroded to nothing. And maybe lower IQ/ brain damage due to decades of malnutrition from childhood. These parents are handicapping their kids and fucking their health in more ways then one. We would have to ask an expert what this diet does to the human body if started from childhood but I bet the list would be long of all symptoms and stuff that can happen.
Babies eat what you give them(mostly). It's important to let them taste a large variety of foods as their taste is still developing. If you only give them takeaways they'll only want that sort of food.
Soon as he started laughing an showing no concern for what professional was saying :/ I knew he was gonna be little to no help. Would have been red-flag for me an told him piss off. He really can't 10-15mins to cook a simple meal?

@@phatdayz I could bearly watch because of how irritating that guy is.. I wish he would just have a serious conversation, stop the smirking, excuses, laziness and all the bs and just be a good Dad.
The day our first child wouldn't eat healthy food because we fed her Mcdonald's a few times a week, we quit going to fast food joints. Took her about 3 or 4 days to get over it, but she ate more healthy foods without a fight after that. We just slowed down our after work hours and took the time to cook better foods rather than rushing to get to the next thing. We realized we were making our 4 year old child adapt to our fast lifestyle rather than slowing down for her in order to give her a better life. When we had our second child, it was much better in this regard. We learned.

I was a soda addict since I was a child. I decided to stop drinking it because of my anxiety disorder. I’m 6 months clean and I feel great ! Im working on the fast food habit.
Same, it’s not like they don’t have money and only have the option to make poor food choice,, they’re letting 2 yr old pick there diet! Kinda ridiculous if u ask me
As messed up as this is, the fact that "all of the families desperately want help" is a really good first step! Maybe we should encourage them on this journey rather than shame them for the situation they're in...albeit the situation is their "fault", but at least they're trying to get better!
I was picky, yet obsessed with in-n-out when I was younger, so my mom would just take an old takeout bag and put her healthy food in it, and called it the “Secret Menu” From the restaurant. I ate every last bite. My mom was a mastermind when it came to that stuff.
This!!!! My 5 yr old loves McD nuggies I think this is a great idea!! These parents make me feel like a super mom wow!! So much soda for such a small baby!!
After person start to eat healthy food it has no taste only at beginning, as some say..... but later person will feel all kinds of tastes of this food. The no taste is part of the chemical detox probably.
I was shocked and disgusted when the Dad of the toddler said "I have no control over what he eats". Of course a parent has complete control over what their toddler eats. It makes me happy though, to see how all the parents in this video made the effort to change their own eating habbits for the health of their children (and themselves).
I THINK when the father said he has no control over what his child eats, because often times, especially in a working class home, men feel meals are the woman’s job entirely. And since he works by day,he obviously is not at home when the child is fed breakfast, lunch and or snacks. It is the responsibility of BOTH parents to ensure what the family consumes. Do not buy fast food and items with empty calories should not be allowed in the home.. Plan ahead to make foods at home. It does not have to be complicated menus . But planning home cooked meals, even three times a week, and NO sugary beverages, would really help parent and child to live a healthier life.
@@annbutowski6379 absolute bull, if you keep watching the day the wife works one day and be doesn't. He literally sulks about not getting fast food and not coming ffs single parents manage to work and raise kids but it's too much for a father??

"You got mcdonalds money!" "We have food at home!" Im watching this and thats all I can hear ringing in my head. Thank you Mom and Dad for being firm in your parenting.
That reminds of 'Everybody Hates Chris', the Dad Julius was the only one bringing cash in but they didn't have tons of money and if the kids wanted stuff, he would just ask 'do you have X money?'
Indeed. Are they lazy to cook or the fresh food is expensive in UK? I am Asian where fresh fruits and vegetables are abundant. For us eating KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut is fancy meals for us. But for them like daily meals it's crazy and scary
Why the hell are they giving their kids mcdonalds and kfc at this age. I wasn't allowed it until I was about 7-8, and even then it was 3 times a year kind of thing.
@@maryagawronski9455 It's pure laziness, fresh food in the UK is relatively cheap. As a child, I wasn't appreciative of my parents' healthy, homecooked meals which they made for us from scratch every, single night without fail which we ate around a dinner table. Proper parenting is a hard, thankless job but I'm grateful now that my parents put the work in and raised me well.
Same! I’m thankful for my working parents who still cooked, and I do the same for my kids. Today I got up early and worked, then put together some cooked beef, a leafy lettuce salad, rice and a cucumber dip for my family. I was so sleepy and exhausted but I’m proud of myself.
the dad teaching his kids to eat in secret and hide it from their mom (therefore implying there is something to hide) is a recipe for an eating disorder
This is why we still need home economics in schools. Instead of getting rid of it make it mandatory for both guys and girls. Too many people can’t cook for themselves
Definitely. And if they have parents who aren't bothered about passing on normal life skills, where will they ever learn it? It should definitely be taught at school. Everyone should grow up and know how to look after themselves as an independent adult. That would have a positive effect on people's choices later in life too, increase in self respect, confidence and people will be less likely to be reliant on 'needing' to find a partner. I've know a few older men who seemed to get married because they want a cook, cleaner and nanny for their children, basically. They just wanted someone to take charge of their lives for them and be a second mum to them 😐
I'm lucky if my 9 year old eats a piece of fruit, a small bowl of cereal with milk, a ham and cheese sandwich on white bread and then a dinner of some kind of meat & veggies. He barely ever snacks on candy, he barely ever eats more than that- but he does LOVE salads, fruits, veggies and all kinds of foods; he loves sushi, Indian food - you name it. I can not comprehend my kid eating that much junk food and non stop fried crap and garbage. It's horrible.

@Morris No. I wouldn't say so. kids should see a very restricted amount of sugar, certainly, but while sugar is longterm dangerous because it builds up over time, and is absolutely dreadful in large amounts. Alcohol is a literal poison to humans and will kill someone short-term as well as long term. Just because we've found some forms of alcohol that we can safely consume in watered out, relatively small dosages (we measure alcohol by the thousandth) doesn't mean it's not harmful.

@@stefancoban59 type 1 diabetes is now being linked to diet due to new research on mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis, a bacteria acquired from contaminated dairy and meat products. The infection is pretty common, over 60% of US cattle are infected, though I don't know for UK. It's also been found in retail chicken and pork, though highest risk is in ground beef. The cows that are culled due to the infection are usually used for ground beef. This is theorized to be why populations with a diet high in dairy and/or meat have significantly higher (up to 350x) rate of type 1 diabetes compared to populations eating more plant based diets
I can relate with the second parent as my son was exactly their son. He won’t anything healthy and freshly cooked food when he was a toddler. As an Indian I love to cook everything from scratch and my husband and eldest daughter all love to eat greens and fruits. Even my paediatrician asked me to give him everything he likes even if it’s unhealthy. I bought and cooked French fries, chicken nuggets, pizzas etc just so that he eats something. It was really frustrating and I felt so guilty feeding him fastfood everyday. I just did one thing differently before I give him his choice of unhealthy food I made him eat one bite of freshly cooked food and one fruits bite. Honestly that's not even an excuse. The child knows if he cries and dumps his food they'll give him junk. Kids aren't dumb. Babies aren't dumb. He knows that they'll give it to him if he cries. I get that he almost died, but it's ridiculous... they are adults and if your child is hungry he will eat. Don't feed him lunch if he won't eat it. Make him wait until dinner. And if he doesn't eat that make him wait until breakfast the next day. What? Do you not want to hear him cry? Eventually he'll stop when he realizes you aren't giving him what he wants. He's crying because he knows! If you don't want him to cry stop giving into him!
Omg this made me so annoyed when she said that! You come second when you have children - plus isn’t cooking for your child something of a necessity? Not wether you can be bothered or not!?
Yeah. You could easily even buy a pre made healthy meal at the store, or even a salad. There are plenty of healthy meals at stores. Even the microwave vegetable meals would be better even though it isn't too healthy. Of course cooking is healthier usually, but anything healthier would be better
My mom suffered from some fairly bad depression when I was young, even during her worst moments when she wouldn’t eat, she would still make sure I was fed healthy homemade food. The first family is unbelievable…
Depression is different for everyone, I have on going sever depression and I’m bipolar.. it’s so hard for me to cook all the time. But we don’t eat out all the time only once or twice a month. These people seem normal not even depressed but who am I to judge. I’m so glad your mama always made sure you were fed with good food 😊
I had horrendous PND, and didn’t care for myself as much as I could’ve, nor did I eat much, but like your mum, my daughter always was cared for properly and fed healthy meals, no matter how I felt and how tough it was. Mad respect for your mum. I know how tough it is. And it’s lovely that you understand and appreciate how hard it was for her, and that her love for you outweighed that :)
At least the mom in that family is trying, the dad doesn't take responsibility nor is he trying to rectify himself or his actions. And it shows on his face and body
Right?? My parents would never let me drink soda at such a young age. I think the first time i ever drink soda is 7+ years old. And they even won't let me to drink it often. I could go on with life without even touching soda for few years. This vid is so upsetting :')
She's not extremely obese, that's not the same as healthy. You don't know what else might be going on. Also she's still young. By 40, your metabolism won't be as forgiving.
i never even knew babies can drink cola... my mom said if a baby drink cola even just a sip will get sick and die... that's why when i had a baby sister.. i get scared whenever she gets near or crawl towards me while i'm drinking cola...
In the states in kentucky theres a huge problem with people like addicted to Mountain Dew and people literally give babies soda and 5 year olds have to get their teeth pulled and drilled :(
" no control of what he eats" as a parent that's the most unintelligent statement I ever heard. You started off like that so now the child wants what he wants. Coke is addictive to even an adult, giving them what they want so they don't have to deal, bit at least they are looking at it as parents now but can't watch anymore 💚
The first family: nothing like making the girls resent their brother by saying he's the reason why the sweets are gone. Why not be honest and say because they ALL are unhealthy?
Exactly. When she said "You're not the problem. The problem is your little brother" I got so annoyed. The problem is the parents and the bad eating habits they instilled in all the kids
my dad was an Italian family raised chef, we ate a good overall mediterranean diet....the problem came when my parents divorced. I lived with my dad more than my mom, when she picked us up on Friday night the first stop was to our favorite fast food. My dad mocked her for making Mac and cheese "in a box" and junk food...I think when she died my brother dealt with it by going to the gym and I dealt with it by eating and my dad was so stressed and busy he never really explained why the processed food and junk food was bad. Got worse when I had my own. money I ate for friendship, comfort, and to rebel in a way I would say. But this is truly disgusting.
I've seen that with some people who are otherwise good at making food choices and making meals, but then fail to actually explain why it's important. Either because it's just something they've learned, or it seems selfevident to them.
We went every other Friday for a happy meal. Mostly though it was for the moms to gab while the kids went to play in the ball pit when those still existed. I doubt a single burger and a few fries followed by an hour of playing so hard you're red faced and panting was that detrimental to our overall health lol. Some of these parents need to learn the meaning of moderation.
Cuba’s dad Simon frustrates me. He thinks he’s being cool and fun by sneaking in junk food, he doesn’t realize that this is disgusting behaviour which can most them die sooner than they should. Absolutely disgusting!
Also noticed that Simon is considerably overweight. And that whole, "We won't tell mommy" thing-WTF is wrong with him, other than being uninterested in being healthy himself? He might choose that for himself, he's the so-called grown-up, but to sabotage his wife and effectively kill his kids? Where are his nominally ineffective self-control and his desire to see his kids grow up to be healthy? What a mess of a dad. He should be asked to remove himself from the rota and be limited to supervised visitations for a period of about 6 months. Give him the time to be taught how to parent, and keep him on supervision until he obliges himself to follow the program. This makes me think that he just doesn't give a rats' patootie for a nutritional program aimed at helping his kids. He's just self-indulgent and petty.
She has a heart attack at 19 while she has 2 kids. And after that she continues to eat foods that are bad for your heart and give them to her child. This level of selfishness is inconceivable to me 🤯
@@evamarcuello9866 kids need to eat healthy for their development. Mothers neglecting their children’s needs is heartbreaking and would make anyone’s heart sink.
That jab from the narrator “it’s not shocking at how much sugar he eats in a day, he’s just a miniature version of his mom” Oof. lol Kids only emulate what they see often, and the poor kid has a horrible diet solely because she does. I was surprised to learn she was as young as she was, also, and thought for sure “late 30s, definitely” - not even close!
@GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS everyone prioritizes the components of their budget differently and also has different expenses. I get takeaway, on average, twice per day (including starbucks in the morning). I spend about $800/mo on food, and it's only for me. But it's my largest expense outside of housing (and taxes). I don't buy hardly anything else. If you look at my credit card statement it basically only contains multiple entries of Starbucks, Panera, and Chipotle.
I watched this awhile back and couldn't believe this was even real. It wasn't until I started working at a preschool when I saw similar to this. One of the teachers children attend, he's 3 years old and she lets him have so many unhealthy snacks and treats. She allows him to drink dr. pepper and whatever else soda she would bring with her. I was completely shocked, it's no surprise he has such a horrible behavior too because she doesn't acknowledge it nor put a stop to his outbursts. she just says oh he's just a baby, he his behavior will get better when he gets older...no...no it won't
Hahahaha right now im dying of laughter! Your right, but kids are bad ass stuborn! It can drive you mad🤣🤣 i have a kid myself and he is exact in the fase where he doesnt want to eat greens like all children do at some point and sometimes it makes me so mad and crazy, i want to let him go to sleep hungryy.. but you feel so bad as a mom.. but that will never stop me from keep trying! And his ass is gonna eat the greens eventually! And he does! some days are good some are bad. you just got to keep trying each day! But these mom give up because they let their kids manupulate them. Meaning to say you can't controle anybody and expecially kids. Ecept maybe if you do the whoopings. Which i dont advice. That is controlling and your child eventually wil hate you or be afraight of you and anyone else pressuring them.
This reminds me of a lady I saw in Spain at a grocery store called "Mercadonna" and she kept saying "OmG... I just can't , I don't know how to handle him". A 2yo.... I was 15 and thought, how can someone have a kid and not be able to handle them haha

I was a teen mom. I had my daughter when I was 17 years old but I always made sure she had home cooked meals for supper every night. Once in awhile it's okay to cheat a little and have take out, but children need nutrition and structure. I never had a problem with her refusing to eat my food and she usually finished everything on her plate. Children will eat whatever you eat, so as long as you eat good so will your child. Being a teen mom isn't an excuse.
My parents were pretty strict with food for health and financial reasons. We ate out once a week only, and usually it was not fancy but "nicer" chain places and local restaurants. We were allowed to order anything we wanted (within reason) even if it wasn't a kids meal. We usually ordered side salad and a cup of soup, entree salads with a protein, grilled tuna with steamed veggies was one of my favorite things at steakhouses, and at Chinese I'd get tofu and broccoli. I was under 13 lol 😂 My parents usually ordered a heavy appetizer like cheese fries or something fried which we all split and then we didn't get fries with the meal, etc. About once a month we'd all split a dessert. Little things like that gave me better habits than most people I know. Not to mention I started helping my mom with the cooking on weeknights at age 6. By the time I was 10 I cooked every night. I have no idea what it would be like to not know how to cook, I find that absolutely unfathomable!
@@rapa2894 i also find it so hard to believe when people tell me "they don't like to cook" or "don't know how to cook". Their parents really failed them if they didn't teach them how to do one of the main things that keeps them alive. I learned most of my cooking and baking from my nanny. Plus nowadays all people need to do is google a recipe to learn how to cook. So if there's anyone out there who says they "can't cook", there's no excuse because we are living in a time when you can literally google absolutely anything! I blame it on laziness. I will never understand how anyone could find cooking to be boring. I think it's beautiful and great for the soul!
Agreed. I was a teen mom too and I did not allow my kid to live off sweets and fast food. In fact I never gave my kid any of that stuff until she was older, and even then it was in moderation. My kid loves healthy foods. These people drive me mad. They should not be reproducing if they can’t get down one of the most basic things about raising a child. They all need to be majorly educated and need to be WILLING to learn how to not only eat better but be better parents.
Same here!!! I was 15 when I had my daughter(same as the girl in the video) my daughter is almost 9 now and eats great! In the video you can see when they were at the grocery store the boy asked for pears and she said "BLEGH no, you don't like pears".. that shows me right there, it's her fault. It's not that he don't want to eat anything else, it's just all she gives him. She even had a HEART ATTACK in her 20'S! like Jesus Christ! Feed your child properly!
Me too! I offered my daughter all kinds of foods from the start. And did the same with her 3 younger siblings. They are the most unpicky kids I’ve ever seen. Sure there are foods they don’t care for but they are very few. We’ve always just dished the kids up the same as us (smaller portions obviously) and it’s never been an issue.
This reminds me of one of my friends growing up. Her mom never cooked. My mom made her scrambled eggs and she said it was the first time someone had ever made her eggs homemade. This was when we were 15
When I was a child my parents didn't restrict my access to sweets and chocolate. I was allowed to help myself to fun size Mars bars right after breakfast. I've always struggled to control myself with sugar and chocolate ever since and really feel like the lack of early control has left me feeling basically addicted. Early education around healthy food is so important.
Don't despair. It's as much about training our palates as it is retraining our brains. Both can be re-wired quite easily by replacing a bad habit with a good one. Make your replacement snack/reward something you really like to eat but without the calories...or guilt!
On the flip side, we never had sweets, chips or soda in my house. My mom really tried to set my sister and I up for success with healthy eating. Fortunately we had tons of fruit, veggies, yogurts, cheese, lived on a farm with a garden we could freely eat from. Endless healthy options, didn't have our first taste of process food/sugar until our first birthday but when I got older I had no self control of all the stuff I didn't have as a kid, horrible binge eating and self hatred afterwards. It's been a decade of trying to relearn for myself and now that I'm pregnant, my future child. I think it's about balance and moderation, I'm still learning everyday! These videos really help me understand where I can do things differently, trying not to focus on "better."
The kid wanted a pear and she just says no? Like what harm is it to buy ONE, if he actually doesn't like it because he hasn't had it no harm. But if he likes it then you know something HEALTHY that you can resort too like ????
Right!! Im not a fan of tomatoes but I've always offered them to my daughter because they're healthy, and she loves them! Im so happy she does. I buy them just for her. Same with mandarin oranges, I despise them, but always offered them to her, she loves those too!
Kristine Plummer good job mumma! 👏🏽 I do this too, just because I don’t like something I’ll still get my kiddies to try it and majority of the time they LOVE it 🙌🏽💕
I come from Italy. Sometimes I feel like we are taking our food culture too seriously. But then, I see documentaries about poisonous food epidemic in China or like this one and I am proud of my culture. Thanks to my mum for working full time and more, but always cooking us meals including proteins and vegetables. Even my father was cooking for us rice and produce for our vegetable garden when she wasn't home. Granny used to make home made pasta every day. Never went to mc donalds in my whole life. Now I am trying to pass it on to my children.
Same here, but Middle Eastern.. i still grew up in America, but i understood nothing about my peers in school. Sometimes i think maybe i was more well behaved and 'smarter' because i had a proper diet :/ I never thought the other kids had it better with food but my sister did for a minute but when she tried it she hated it
I am from India, and I also felt that Indians think way too much when it comes to food. But after watching these documentaries, I am so thankful that my parents and grandparents, and the entire community taught us to make healthy choices. We were taught to read labels at a young age, my school also had programmes that encouraged healthy eating. When I say I love vegetables, I am met with incredulous looks. That's sad.
The first mother feels devastation that her son got his blood drawn and cries but has no problem giving him 6 cans of soda and loading him up with salt each day.
I try really, really hard not to judge parents. But the moment I saw her give a literal toddler a bottle of coke .. there’s nothing that could possibly justify that. Even if you take into consideration the level of education, income etc., it's not up for debate - you don’t give this stuff to kids that age.
My mom used to serve me huge cups of cola as a kid and I always hated it lol. It makes her cringe now but she was just clueless during that time about how unhealthy it was. I think if parents were educated on the dangers of junk food they wouldn't be so comfortable giving this crap to their kids.
My 10 yo son never tried coke in his life. Not that we didn't offered him to try but, somehow he always refused. He didn't like the taste of it. Like, he always knew it was not good for him.
I have an almost 20 month old and I could NEVER imagine putting soda in my sons bottle. My son gets milk or water and the occasional apple juice or cranberry apple. I could never image giving him coke or any soda ever!
I literally went to the comments right after that part. It’s so sad how the children have absolutely 0 control :( would probably be eating better alone
"He likes McDonald's, he likes KFC." He wouldn't even know what that is if you didn't introduce him to it. And you're saying he's hooked? Let me give a child drugs and say, well they like the drugs. 😡
Shoutout to all the parents who raised some of us on good home cooked meals & focus on health Bigger shoutout to those who didn’t have that & found a way to get healthy meals on their own Even BIGGER shoutout to those on their current journey to find a better life for themselves. You’re not forgotten. Your health matters ❤️
Thank you! I definitely wasn’t raised in a healthy diet. I’ve been working very hard on turning that around the last several years. Not always perfect, but it’s about progress not perfection! And I found a love of cooking in the process 😊
I've had a mixed diet all my life but you do feel so much better after a full home cooked meal with lots of veg 😋I'd hop on a Sunday roast before any takeaway any day 🤣
I was raised by a mom that ONLY stocked the fridge and pantry with healthy foods. I never tasted chips, white bread, candy or soda until i was much older. I was that weird kid with yogurt, fresh fruit, carrot sticks and a whole wheat pita sandwich with turkey, veggies, cheese and alfalfa sprouts in the lunchroom at school. It was odd even back in the mid 1980s-1990s, and I resented it at the time (wishing for Cheetos, pudding cups and fruit snacks.) Today I'm grateful that she taught me good eating habits young and I didn't get all strung out on sugar and crap with no nutrients. Especially when I hear from friends what they were fed growing up. ETA...if you only offer healthy, good foods, your kid has no choice. Be hungry or eat well. They will eventually eat well. I've never heard of a kid starving just because they were only given healthy foods to choose from. Even my picky eater younger sister didn't die while being forced to eat healthy, nutritious foods.
@@Shayna11NM Only allowing children to eat healthy foods is actually not good, as can set them up for an unhealthy relationship with food or even an eating disorder. A child’s diet should be mostly healthy, but it’s okay for them to have junk food sometimes. Aslo, sugar making children hyper is a myth. It’s a placebo effect.
@@amandah5128 I agree about not making some food "forbidden" so they develop eating disorders. Of course treats are fine in occasion. I'm talking more about toddlers just learning about food being given fast food that contains excess salt, fat and is highly processed. It was an actual treat though, because it was something we didn't do frequently.
Yes and pears have a lot of nutrients and that 3 year old is severely lacking in nutrition so at least if she gave the pear to her son that child would get some nutrition but instead the mom if like nah you wouldn't like it even though he is severely lacking in nutrients

Same. It was honestly better that way
My baby had an eating disorder and would vomit if you even touched his tongue with food.
Where did you get therapy? Was there a specific protocol? My kids struggle with variety.
@@DanaGoldbergMD I started with our pediatrician. In Tennessee there are free interventions, but we chose a private therapy group instead.

You see it's about perception, education and the will and intent to make sure you are receiving every nutrient and they are being absorbed properly.
Awe. Your mom sounds wonderful. And very Clever!

Watching the dad add more salt to the baby’s fries was terrifying.
That part pissed me off.
Then he gives the baby 6 cans of cola a day...in his bottle, no less!

After person start to eat healthy food it has no taste only at beginning, as some say..... but later person will feel all kinds of tastes of this food. The no taste is part of the chemical detox probably.
he is not a dad, he is a full idiot

Knowing I’d get sick if I ate junk food as a kid forced me to eat healthy. There was no tantrum out of me
That reminds of 'Everybody Hates Chris', the Dad Julius was the only one bringing cash in but they didn't have tons of money and if the kids wanted stuff, he would just ask 'do you have X money?'
The problem is not the children the problem is the parents. I have never seen anything like this in my life.
I still do. I only get fast food on special occasions and chips around once a week. But due to covid I haven't had fast food for 4 months now

Definitely, I've seen this shift happen while I was growing up. When I was in elementary and early middle school my mom would be around when we came home from school and we were allowed just one snack and it couldn't be right before dinner.
It definitely changed when I was older. I noticed my mom started snacking more and then everyone did since the snack food was around
we used to have take away only on friday every second week
My mum cooked and you were given the meal which was healthy. No choice that or nothing, they had very little money. I understood that and was grateful for anything. I learned vegetables were tasty, no money for meat every day. Dessert was a rare treat, homemade, usually involved apples.
It’s so satisfying to see parents realize that their children’s negative behaviors are a direct result of their own actions.

I am trying not to judge because God knows we all make mistakes and these people are brave enough to be public about it, but I am going to judge. HOW THE HELL do you put coke into a baby's bottle?!?! How are these parents mystified by how their babies magically feed themselves junk food all day?

It does not require a change in a lifestyle so much to cook a meal, come on...
Yeah. You could easily even buy a pre made healthy meal at the store, or even a salad. There are plenty of healthy meals at stores. Even the microwave vegetable meals would be better even though it isn't too healthy. Of course cooking is healthier usually, but anything healthier would be better
I’m assuming you haven’t got to that part in the video yet.

My mom suffered from some fairly bad depression when I was young, even during her worst moments when she wouldn’t eat, she would still make sure I was fed healthy homemade food. The first family is unbelievable…

Literally! He’s laughing like it’s a joke. His child could die and he can’t put in an effort to help.
Yeah and teaching his kids to be sneaky and lie

Same here. And they didn’t teach me how to properly clean my teeth so I had some damage to them. I still am breaking these habits at 22.

I can't think of a reason why anyone would feed their toddler KFC and over-salted fries frequently. And yes, I got to enjoy birthday cake, ice cream and even the rare Happy Meal. It was an actual treat though, because it was something we didn't do frequently.
The kid wanting a pear and the mum saying "eugh" was so heartbreaking. Wtf is wrong with her ???
She actually added “you’ve NEVER had a pear” poor child
She's too young and immature to be a mom.
Yes and pears have a lot of nutrients and that 3 year old is severely lacking in nutrition so at least if she gave the pear to her son that child would get some nutrition but instead the mom if like nah you wouldn't like it even though he is severely lacking in nutrients
Now I'M craving pears!
I had a friend like that. Wouldn't let her kid try tofu.
Showing the parents the childs perspective was a great idea
