- Targeting flabby arms and enhancing overall arm definition can be effectively achieved through a combination of resistance training, proper nutrition, and consistent effort. One of the most efficient exercises for toning your arms is the tricep dip. This powerful move focuses on the triceps, which comprise the majority of your upper arm muscles, and can be performed virtually anywhere, using a bench, couch, chair, or even the edge of a sturdy coffee table. To execute a tricep dip, position your hands shoulder-width apart on a stable surface, extend your legs out in front of you, and lower your body by bending your elbows until they form a 90-degree angle. Push back up to the starting position and repeat. Incorporating this exercise into your routine, with three sets of 12-15 repetitions a few times per week, can yield noticeable results. However, exercise alone isn't enough; nutrition plays a critical role in achieving a toned physique. Focus on a balanced diet rich in lean proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates, while maintaining a caloric deficit to shed excess fat. Also, staying hydrated and getting adequate sleep are essential for muscle recovery and growth. Tyvm Doc! I have an important question for you tho - I'm not super knowledgeable about FOOD CONTENT, & I know I'm not alone. Idk WHAT FOODS, CONTAIN WHAT!? Fat, calories, carbs, protein, vitamin, sugar, etc- are all familiar WORDS.. but for those of us who haven't read"nutrition for Dummies" -CAN YOU PLEASE INCLUDE EXAMPLES OF WHAT FOODS WE CAN EAT, FOR WHAT DESIRED NUTRITIONAL BENEFIT??! I'm not dumb, but I get confused about knowing I should eat carrots for vitamin A, or drink milk for vitamin D.. are all breeds high in carbs? About this stuff -PLEASE talk to me as if I'm NOT smarter than a 5th grader! I'd be extremely grateful!

I injured my shoulder somehow, no idea. When the pain wouldn't subside I went to the Chiropractor. I'm tiny and the doc is a big guy. Man he came from behind, wrapped his arms around me and I cracked like a bag of walnuts. At least 8 BIG pops. He said ice it and showed me exercises. I loved the wall push ups you showed. That's going to make a big difference. Thank you so much. You've greatly improved my recovery. ❤

I hear ya. I’m 68 and I am pretty ok weight wise, but I have many physical issues due to childhood abuse and neglect. So, I have a lot of problems and it hurts me so bad that someone else did this to me. Now, I suffer and it is so sad to me. So, I found Dr Mandel and he actually gives me hope for those things I can help.

I know I wont get a reply, but. I lost over 50 lbs so far. I can't do a lot of exercises due to chronic pain. I really need to get rid of the flabbies.....lol At the moment, I can't put weight on my wrists. Is there anything you would suggest I could do? I have stretch bands, treadmill and exercise bike.
Start fasting as long as you can with just water, tea, coffee - no sugar or food. And see what miracles that brings your body. Love and light and healing ❤️
Get some light resistant bands, and there are many different resistant exercises. You can do to utilize the muscles and start strengthening them. That will increase your metabolic rate and will get you to feel much better. Good luck. 😊

Notifications set to ‘ALL’ love all your content. I have a small farm so I get a lot of exercise but triceps and belly are my challenges. I used to leg scissor chicken fences but I don’t have them short enough anymore and I don’t think to do it because i have so much going on but every time you post a short and fairly easy target exercises I do them right there on the spot. I carry heavy pails of water and bails of hay so my back fat has actually disappeared but not belly is my main issue. Thank you Dr Mandell ❤

Up until 11 years ago my arms were very muscular from loading and unloading freight, and also alot of outdoor gardening and landscaping. Then I had a bad leg break ( the other leg already had a bad knee), and suddenly after 11 years of inactivity Im looking at myself totally ashamed of my arms. They used to be over muscular; the type that had stand- out spider veins, which as a woman, I hated. But here at 66 Im ashamed to even wear summer tops.

The German professor and doctor Ingo Froböse once said that muscles don't age.
He also says that muscle cells are constantly repairing and renewing our organism. Therefore, even the oldest cells we have in our muscles are only about 15 years old, so they are still “youthful”.

Steam is the best thing that open pores. So put boiling water into a bucket/container, place your head over it - not too close or you will burn your face - with a towel covering your head and shoulders. Do this for about 5 - 15 minutes. It's also great for opening up the sinuses.

I have tennis elbow so these dips are murder for me afterward. Tennis elbow is very frustrating. I love the standing one! It did not bother my tennis elbow! Thank you Dr. Mandell. As usual you are FIRE 🔥.
You can also stand up and hold your arms at a ninety degree angle and place a pillow between the side of your body and your elbow and then squeeze the pillow as hard as you can into the side of your body (without it hurting you) and relax. Repeat as many times as you can manage. These are also called isometric presses (exercises) for the shoulder and the elbow, because a tennis elbow also affects the shoulder and vice versa.

You're very welcome! I know a lot of other types of rehab exercises that you can do, so if you want to know about different types of exercises for different issues in the body, I can give you examples of exercises and you don't need to go to a gym to do these. All you need is elastic therabands (look it up) and a sturdy chair to sit on and a yoga mat to lie on and a wall to lean on. If you don't have any back issues, then you can also sit on a big ball with the correct posture, which will help with your core strength.

I don’t eat enough and tend to get too skinny and have flapping arms! I am not bragging! 😅 I fell off the roof clearing storm damage and destroyed my elbow and broke a couple ribs and such and was not doing much lifting while in pain during the healing process so it is DISGUSTINGLY flappy now! My point is we are not all suffering with this from overeating! Also not eating enough and injury and not lifting can deflate the muscle mass!

I have a trapped muscle in my R fore arm. I broke my Ulna bone by the elbow almost two years ago. My arms are horrible. I lost a bunch of weight 168 lbs. And they just flop around. I was trying to hide it, but my curious granddaughter found them. Now everything I watch her she will go to my arm and make them wiggle. Drives me nuts. Last time she said grandma, your flabbies are cold! I wanted to crawl under the chair and die, but of course couldn't, because I was watching her. So we has a little talk about how some things are notvpolite to do. Hope it works!
