- He's All That (2021) is a remake/ reboot of She's All That (1999) - a lighthearted teen comedy featuring Rachael Leigh Cook in both films- first as the main outcast girl, and in the reboot, Addison Rae (Padgett's) mom. The new He's All That reboot is a gender swapped remake of She's All That, where Addison Rae has to transform the school outcast, played by Cobra Kai star Tanner Buchanan, into her new prom king when she finds her ex boyfriend cheating on her with a backup dancer to his new music video.
Addison Rae's character Padgett has to redeem her reputation online, specifically on TikTok, and become prom queen with her new boo Cam.
The movie also stars Madison Pettis, Kourtney Kardashian?? and a slew of insane product placement from Lucky Charms, Nissan, Doritos, Frito Lays, Lays, Sun Chips, Smart Food Popcorn, Ford, CORE water, Pepsi and their root beer brand, Pizza Hut, KFC, Cheerios, etc. Basically anything anyone eats in this movie is chips, pizza, and cereal.
So sit down and grab your favorite sponsored snack and let's react, make some jokes, and do ~commentary~ on this movie together.

I don't know if it's people just realizing this or what, but like, this is how a majority of movies are funded. Watch any big movie til the credits and there's always a big special thanks to and extra special thanks to sections. These movies couldn't afford to pay tens to hundreds of millions out of pocket so they rely on sponsors to pay for most of it. Its really not much different from TH-camrs getting sponsors to make sure they get paid.
Bruh... I'm mad I didn't think about that. Because JEEZ they be posting anything on there. If it's "money making its own money", they'll approve it enthusiastically.

@@ejburgess I would agree, but once you know what yr looking for, it's VERY obvious. Especially with Coca Cola, they hold those labels facing the camera or cars where u see nothing but the same brand of car everywhere like with twilight and Volvo. I don't know if it's a curse or a blessing but it makes watching movies interesting
My favorite recent example of this was the Pepsi logo killing the villain in Madam Webb

I love how, for one, in a live stream of a popular girl going to surprise her significant other only to discover he’s cheating on her live, the girl that had a reasonable reaction to discovering she was being cheated on is the one who get humiliated, not the cheater. And for two, her so-called friend filmed the whole thing and didn’t think to turn off the stream! She is literally the worst friend ever! “You’re still live…!” but you’re the one holding the phone, turn off the stream! This whole plot is only possible thanks to this terrible friend.
I agree, but tbf, isn't that the friend who was plotting against her the whole time? Unless she didn't start doing that until the bet, it seems pretty on brand actually

I think the worst thing about this movie is that they cut the guys hair for the "make over." Why are they always cutting guys long hair for make over scenes, that shit is hot af

I love movies full of good looking characters pretending they eat junk food and sugar laden cereal because the product placement says so.
Makes me think of Gilmore Girls. How Lorelei and Rory eat a lot of junk, sugar, and drink copious amounts of coffee. Lol I love that show but it was like if I ate like that I would not feel or look good.

I feel like you could tell that she enjoyed filming this and was trying her best and that’s what I love to see

Lol weirdly enough in the beginning about the whole reaction to "meth messes you up" you do get desensitized to gruesome descriptions of people when your mom is an ER nurse. My mom has regaled me with some interesting stories over dinner and I have to remember that some friends I talk to don't want to hear that kind of stuff, especially when eating.
i love how the tattoo for losing the bet is literally the smallest tattoo on a spot that you could easily cover up with a tshirt and no one would notice lmao
After going through 1 minute and 26 seconds of the video I decided I should watch the whole movie in order to enjoy this video to the fullest. As someone who doesn't watch many movies like this, I have to say, the freeze-frame on the hiccup really helped me whenever the second-hand embarrassment hit in.
I have to hand it to movie writers for being able to make someone "the outcast" by pretty much copying the personality and style of my best friend, who is incredibly liked by everyone around her and practically radiates friendliness.
This made me wonder if the movie would have just been about exercising and going on a diet if they decided to make Woo the prom king instead.
Real talk though, what baffles me the most here is how everyone acknowledges this as an issue, yet they still for some reason continue doing it in teen movies, as the tropes of the nerd (who god forbid, has some hobbies they enjoy) or the girl with glasses and a ponytail are pretty shallow and invalidate some people.
Personally, I think the decision to make the MC someone whose popularity is (at least partially) due to her pretty good people skills backfired quite a bit, as it exacerbated the teen romantic film problem of basing the character drama on miscommunication.
-How hard is it to tell him "I started talking to you, because of a bet with a few friends on if we could make someone who isn't popular into the prom king. I originally was going to ask if you could come as a favor, but I now have feelings for you, and I feel it would be disingenuous of me to not tell you that first." Remember kids, communication is the key.
While the acting was a bit off at times, it was still leagues above some other netflix shows I made the mistake of watching.
Overall, most parts of this movie made me feel like I was watching a great satire at least? 7.5/10
Also the casting for Jordan was perfect. As everyone knows, the people who peak in high school magically look like they're 5-10 years older the instant they graduate.

It has nothing to do with the Seltzer and friedberg crap movies that came out after it or even the scary movie sequels after the second. It gets lumped in with those which weren't parody just "Reference pop culture, fart joke" Date movie, epic movie, scary movie 3 through 27, and Even the latter day Leslie Nielsen movies ruined parody. NATM and Walk Hard tried to save it.

One part that should be mentioned, is that to advertice this movie in argentina, netflix decided to give the movie an argentinian dub that it's horificly great, not only for how bad it's made, like they recorded in their cells on the bathroom, but on top of that, the expresion that we used sounded ridiculus with that dub
