an innocent cooking mod really just turns into an existential masterpiece about the player finding increasingly creative ways to utilize an animal's part as well as a dichotomy between sacrificing your friends or starve to death (even without butcher's delight), by ways of addon creators. i love it
this is when I realized that the video was 58 minutes long. holy. damn. P.S. If anyone is reading this, apparently the dev also has made a TON of addons to other mods that give Farmer's Delight recipes to crap like the Aether, mindblowing.
' There should be a feature where Villagers can eat the food that the player has placed and then give the player a discount on any item if their satisfaction bar is full. Different Villagers could also list their dislikes and likes on what food they prefer. They could even have favourite foods too as well as how they wish for the food to be prepared, unleashing the creativity of both this mod and whatever the player wants the final product to look like. There could even be a star rating to tell how well the player has made the dish too. This would either increase or decrease the potency of these dishes as well as fill up the hunger bar more or less... If a Villager eats it, they would either consume all of it before dropping free items or increase their prices of items as well as shake their head. A new type of villager called The Chef could be a great addition too, not only can you use these types of villagers to shop for ingredients that are too risky to collect in the fresh start of Minecraft... They could also teach the player new cooking recipes from their findings with little live-time cutscenes to lighten up the mood rather than just giving the player the recipe like in normal Minecraft. (The player also may need a book and quill to write down all that the chef Villager does so they can repeat the process. The player could even share their written recipes with the chef villager to expand the cuisine in Minecraft... If they like it they will proceed to attempt to make it to see if it's possible and edible) ' - Chrome

There is an addon for farmers delight called “chef’s delight” in which there are two new villager professions and one is a chef and I do not know about the other profession
I always thought it’d be neat to be the one guy in the group that actually likes food mods and cooking or farming. Sure, you won’t get a wand or buster blade from it, but you’ll readily have all the buffed foods you could ever want or need while everyone eats bread and steak. :) Trading food empire aw yeah.
Honorable addon mention to Unusual delight, a mod where you can eat plenty of Monster-related food. For one example, zombie piglins and zoglins drop Zorkchops, which you can cook and make a sandwhich out of em (I think).
you forgot to mention that a skillet with Fire aspect doesn't need a heat source to cook food you just have to hold what you want to cook in your off hand and then right click while holding the skillet in your main hand.
The create mod has 2 addons that add compatability with farmers´s delight and it´s mod, create slice and dice, and central kitchen, you guys should probably try it, trying to autimatize the creation of every dish is lots of fun

It makes all root crops(except wheat), and apples be like a whole block, additionally adding the ability to strip melons and seed them. Another little fact, if you have Supplementaries in your mods, you can instead use sticks as a way to grow tomatoes to 3 blocks high.
fun fact about this, the tomato crops will turn the sticks into ropes, making a theoretical rope farm (if you.. really hate collecting straw that much?)

just looked up butchery and i'm shocked to see its even *more* gnarly and gruesome than butchers delight ;-; I can appreciate the increased amount of animals that you can harvest, but butchering bears AND villagers??? (i am downloading it as we speak)
butchers delight has a food addon that gives different cuts of meat, and it's compatible with the cutting board to yield the normal meats for recipe use. it winds up being an even better drop rate than using it by itself actually!
6:06 Something that was overlooked (but is relatively insignificant) is that rotten tomatoes can also be used for composting (as in the vanilla composter). I played with it a while ago and figured that out while composting excess wheat seeds/crops
I really wish Butcher's Delight made it so that killing animals with the butcher's knife was how you get the carcass, not just in general. Just because you killed the animal does not mean you did it in a way that'd preserve most of the meat. It'd also make it easier for pack devs having to juggle item drops.
But you would only destroy the meat and carcass if you hit the thing with a sword 20 times, hittinh 2 to 3 times would preserve the meat, there would be slices in the meat but it wouldnt be all destroyed
i believe a similar mod of the name Butchercraft fixes that problem, carcasses only dropping if killed using the mod's butcher knife. It already comes with farmer's delight as a dependency, so they're compatible too.
Butcher's Delight def looks a tad rougher than the others, but the general idea of it isn't terrible, a further complexity to getting sizable amounts of meat. Would probably depend how much of the drops are influenced by Fortune and the like if you could enchant a Cleaver with it. Still a good set to keep an eye on if I ever pick up Minecraft to mod again.
Honestly I’m so interested in farmers delight as used in conjunction with the as of yet unreleased create:aeronautics mod, the idea of lazily floating around the world on a floating island with a cozy little house and farm with a happy little garden is just so interesting and makes me feel fulfilled

I remember back in like 1.6.4 when the butchery mod existed. It was basically the ancestral granddaddy of the Farmer's Delight addon that lets you butcher mobs like cows, pigs, and sheep. In doing so you got bones as well as meat and if you wanted to you could spit-roast the mob carcasses too and get cooked meat instead, which was really cool. At the time though younger me thought of it as some kind of horror mod with how hollow and creepy their faces became after being skinned alive, not to mention the fleshy texture and whatnot. Some other mods I hope to see come back to life as old mods like that handheld lantern one that gave you the Amnesia lantern that you could fill with oil and stuff, as well as mods like Enviromine (I know some variants exist like Tough as Nails for water, but only Enviromine added a true wetness/sanity meter like Don't Starve.), and MrCrayfish's construction mod. The construction mod wasn't anything too fancy, just a structure mod similar to the new Create Schematicannon and schematic blueprints, only instead of going block by block the structure you built would have randomly assigned "stages" as you hammered the construction block, making the house or building construct in stages ranging from like 5-12+ based on their complexity and size. As a guy who played a lot of this Facebook game called "Zombie Island" (which was basically Farmville but with zombies), I LOVED that construction feature as it was always amazing to see the buildings progress from a crumbled scaffolding mess to a fully finished product over time. Create's schematics are all always built one block at a time, one layer at a time, or all at once in creative mode. There's no life or energy to that kind of building process and once it starts you just leave it alone until it's done unless you run out of shots or materials. With how much interactivity and hands-on work you have to do in the various Create addons they really kinda dropped the ball with the schematicannon.
I love how EVERY showcase to this mod has been a unique one. Its critical acclaim is well deserved, as farming and cooking can be a real good way to pass time waiting for resources to smelt or if your looking for something different to do

This was a great mod(s?) showcase, I really like cooking mods and think Farmer’s Delight does it the best, and these addons are perfect in their own ways (especially the stuff with the Nether). I loved seeing the structures from When Dungeons Arise used as sets too, I love that mod!
A brilliant overview, thank you so much Recently i have been trying more fabric mods, and i have noticed a sad thing about this mod in the fabric versions: they do not come with a recipe book normally! Nor do they work with recipe mods. They rrquire an additional mod to implement. Its very unfortunate as i would have to resort to external sources for recipes for less well known mods like brewin and chewin, so thank you for going into such depth. Keep it up!
Butcher’s delight unfortunately takes away any secondary drops that some animals may drop from other mods. If any animals listed in this mod drop secondary items from other mods, then avoid butcher’s delight. I love the concept, but everything i use to get was just not dropping unfortunately. 😕

I like your sense of humor and presentation The builds are nice and the skins make very nice skits (best music was Butcher's Delight, Rocky and Undertale references are amusing) I got jumpscared by the soyjak, I'd rather not see a grotesque thing like that
I have a cool idea for this. So we know how villagers have blocks that give them jobs right? Well what if in this mod there was a new job occupation for villagers. "The chef" He'd use the cooking pot for his occupation and he'd trade you recipe books on how to make the food in the mod And for chewing and brewing there would be a bar tender villager who'd use a bar tap for its occupation and he'd trade in recipes for drinks too And last would be the baker who'd be a villager in a bakers shop who would trade recipes for sweets and that would use a bakers oven for they're occupation to make various sweets like cakes or pies
Damn now i'm picturing how immersive this would be if applied with the Origins mod, in a faction/civilization modded server. Like imagine a nether dwelling society thrives by exporting nether cuisines and resources to the over world

Honestly, the quality of your videos are amazing, and I can see you put a lot of effort into them. You're extremely underrated. Most people compare you to text_conjure, which is fair, but I think the style of your videos are unique in their own way and I look forward to seeing more from you.
I think I've found the perfect mod-
15:35 🤨oh
..I think I've found the perfect mod for me and I'm only in Farmer's Delight! Time to watch more!!
Those little dark moments at 15:35 and 33:07 were pretty funny.

Me clicking on the video: Oh, how cute, a little farming mod.
Immediate first clip: _Meat Locker_
I think we can say that greztrez is THE NEW textconjure!
There are some really weird ones like Refined Storage Delight, where you can cook Storage Processor Stew
i think i found my new favorite minecraft channel
Can’t wait to create a ginormous beer/cheese empire
love your vids man, peak minecraft mod reviews ngl
this is a masterpiece of a review, keep up with the good work man
I like your sense of humor and presentation
The builds are nice and the skins make very nice skits (best music was Butcher's Delight, Rocky and Undertale references are amusing)
I got jumpscared by the soyjak, I'd rather not see a grotesque thing like that
did Brewin’ and Chewin’ ever get its 1.20.1 port yet?
it's actually coming either next month or by the end of summer. creator mentioned how close the rewrite is!
fun fact: THERE WAS A WHOLE HEAD AT 15:36
perfect for a Dungeon Meshi modpack
love your style of editing, keep up the good work
Delicious in dungeon ahh mod pack (very good)
This video is my safe place. It is so peaceful and relaxing, also I love the little roleplay. ♡
delightful watch! really enjoyed watching ^^
I have a cool idea for this. So we know how villagers have blocks that give them jobs right?
Well what if in this mod there was a new job occupation for villagers. "The chef"
He'd use the cooking pot for his occupation and he'd trade you recipe books on how to make the food in the mod
And for chewing and brewing there would be a bar tender villager who'd use a bar tap for its occupation and he'd trade in recipes for drinks too
And last would be the baker who'd be a villager in a bakers shop who would trade recipes for sweets and that would use a bakers oven for they're occupation to make various sweets like cakes or pies
Damn now i'm picturing how immersive this would be if applied with the Origins mod, in a faction/civilization modded server. Like imagine a nether dwelling society thrives by exporting nether cuisines and resources to the over world
17:32 how were your baaaaals
