Hands down the best farming/food mod in Minecraft. Add so much needed depth in the cooking system and intrigue into farming. As well as being super aesthetic and vanilla friendly, not to mention tons of add on mods. Definitely one of my top 3 mods and almost never play without it.
@@atuazab Even though croptopias one of my favorite mods, i gotta say farmers delight is definitely better in some areas. Especially with the cooking, feels really vanilla and way more immersive then in croptopia. but i usually just get both lol
@@atuazabI don't really like Croptopia's "cooking" system honestly. It's just crafting but you have to put in a non-stackable item as well that makes crafting more tedious. Farmer's Delight on the contrary you can actually place your skillets and cooking pot and cook IN them
I love the fact that this mod is basically quality over quantity. Sure, it doesn't have tons of crops and food like Pam's HarvestCraft and Croptopia mods, but Farmer's Delight's mechanics and aesthetics are so polished and synergize so well with the vanilla game that I don't miss having fewer crops.
I mean come on Pam's harvest must be the weirdest and most confusing mod ever. And when you watch some of her videos instead of talking about the mod she is talking about her sad love life and whatnot.
Exactly! It’s proof that mods don’t need thousands of biomes or features or items to be good. If Mojang released this as an update there’d be a considerable amount of people complaining about its “lack of content”.
this is exactly the reason I love this mod! I can't stand playing Pam's Harvestcraft when my entire inventory gets filled with clutter of seeds and I can't even craft a sandwich because there's 12 more intermediate ingredients I need craft.
If Mojang decides to do a "Farming & Culinary Update" they should asks Help for this Mod's Creator, because almost everything in this Mod Fits in Vanilla Minecraft!!
Yeah, fitting with Vanilla Minecraft is exactly why Monjang would never do something like this. They'd rather add a new mob that drops nothing and does some completely irrelevant to anything.
I adore this mod. Besides the amazing utility of some of its blocks and items, and even besides the wonderfully powerful effect of its food… There’s a sort of coziness within the aesthetic of the mod. I love that.
This feels like a successor to the good old sandwich mod from back in the day where you could lay down break and stack stuff, albeit way more developed than that
I believe there is an addon to Farmer's Delight just for that. Cuisine Delight allows you to put whatever ingredients you want onto a skillet, fry them using a mini-game and then serve it on a plate as a custom meal.
this mod is soo cute and comfortable. it really blends so seamlessly into the game, and it’s so expansive while also being very simplistic. farmers delight rules :D
Yea Minecraft game devs need to focus more on the agriculture - food department. It's still like that after all these years😢. Our newest cooking equipment is just the smoker. We need more cooking tools.
@@DBT1007and technically the campfire since you can place food upon it and it cooks it infinitely, I always carry one for this purpose. A mending fishing rod, campfire, and a single stack of steel in a single stack of Flint. The flint is good for replenishing arrows because it is the hardest thing, and you never know when you're going to need another iron tool for emergencies, but you can also craft flint and steel in order to light the fire in case it accidentally gets blown out.

Don’t get me wrong, I love mods but I just can’t be bothered to update and download the things necessary for them. Having these things in the vanilla game add more value to it.
Straight up didn't know about the rope climbing feature of tomato's! That is absolutely amazing for automated farms, because that means you get 3 times the results per seed!

It’s mods like this that make me feel Mojang have lost their touch. Official updates are so bland and disappointing compared to what mods offer. Very cool, thanks for the showcase!
they are owned by MS, MS wants Java to die, its own marketing is anti Java, anti mod community and they openly want to replace Bedrock as well for that reason, MS doesnt like supporting mod friendly games or game which raise gamer standards (eg why they bought and put Rare on the shelf for years) even when it makes $$$ from Bedrock it wants to replace it, when ever it acquires something related, it will try to change it to a game that doesnt support mods or raise standards. thats why everything they touch goes down hill and java/bedrock updates have been weak sauce for years (MS has a massive indie and small studio grave yard of bankrupting devs) and all dev efforts have focused on Minecraft skinned games, looking for something thats sticks which they can use to basically get all the java and bedrock players to jump ship to, which fits MS preferred business model, some updates are also were done intentionally to break popular mods that are now paid mods...so people say Mojang, but its really just MS dictating everything.
@@JINGWA64 As much as you may dislike Microsoft, it's important to remember that Minecraft would've been left dead in 1.9 had Microsoft not bought the rights as Notch was abandoning the game. Microsoft may not be handling it the way we all hope, but it's better than it's creator leaving right after the most controversial update.
I think it's cool that we are getting a new generation of minecraft mods. I remember watching videos with extremely modded Minecraft and those mods now don't match the version, but now we are getting things like this, and alex's caves to play with
How I didn't know about this earlier, I have no idea. I wish Mojang was this creative and this willing to make cool farming/cooking updates to the game! it just feels like all we get is new travel or combat mechanics, which leaves out a huge portion of the fandom who loves the game for it's cooking aspects! Love this mod. I just wish that with so many add ons in cursed forge, the OG mod makers could reach out to these extension mods and compile all the side mods (prehistoric delight, Italian delight, Nether delight, end delight, ect) into just 1 mod product. It would really help new moders so much knowing what is official/works well with farmers delight and what is not. Lol. I think I have like 10-12 extensions of delight right now. 😅 Still need to test if they all work.

This reminds me of a particular stick figure animation fighting a chef... On a different note, this update is great! Having many ways to create food and learning culinary arts is neat!
The mod also adds a unique enchant for Knives: they can also get an enchant called Backstabbing that increases damage from the rear. It's a nice little realistic/pop culture addition that doesn't really fit the mod's theme, but does make knives viable as a weapon choice.

Farmer's delight is genuinely the best cooking mod ive ever seen. It would fit absolutely perfectly in vanilla and i'd love to see it officially in the game.
also, ropes are so useful, especially early game when I see a big cave that doesn't have an easy way up, I just put some rope down. also rope clutching has saved me a couple times so always carry some rope with you!
Mojang, please add more crops, food recipes, and cooking supplies . That’s all I ever wanted in Minecraft! I am tired of eating nothing but potatoes and carrots on wheat toast.
mods like this and pam's harvestcraft always just scratch the right part of my brain. something about just farming and food just clicks so well. i wouldn't ever be going to the end just be endlessly enjoying mods like this in my world
Best food mod in the game no dispute. Focuses on the experience of cooking and has good balance of the mechanics instead of just cramming content to get a whole messy list of a million different broken stuff like other food mods
Between this and Pam's, Minecraft has some really, really good options to pull inspiration from whenever it gets around to making a Feast and Famine update.

This is awesome! I've been really wanting an update like this but you've exceeded my expectations of what it would be like. It may not actually be an update yet, but if i can download it somehow for the bedrock version of minecraft, i will be soaring through bliss.. happy as apple pie lol, super useful 🍎
Just a tip: The best way to gain a lot of straws is to ether make a Wheat farm or a rice farm then use the knife on them as your chances for getting straws is greater for those 2 farms rather then using a knife on grass. This helps when you want to make a lot of rope or floor matting or safety net and such :3
You can also find seeds in Dungeon type chests (dungeon, mineshaft...). :) Nice showcase! The sheer amount of details isn't at all bothering because of how you tell them. If anything, I'm now hungry, ahah !
Recently experienced this mod and absolutely love it - has to be one of my top 5 mods of all time, now! Ooo now I need to find a modpack that has this mod and the wine brewing one from RLCraft

A lot of food mods (and mods/people in general) mistake quantity for quality. Instead of adding tons of new crops that each only have a few recipes, Farmer’s Delight adds a few crops that makes tons of recipes! Easily a staple on my modded playthroughs.
Didn't know about the 3 high tomatoes or the difference between bowl meals (comfort) and plate meals (nourishment). I never realized it was the dish it was served in that made the difference.
This is one of those mods that 100% needs to be in vanilla. Food and cooking have been neglected in Minecraft since the beginning, and this adds lots of depth without destroying progression or balance in other places.
This is my favorite food mod without a doubt. I also like the Let's do Meadow mod and Let's do Wine Also when was the tomato climbing vines added? I never knew about it.
I've been addicted to playing the modpack Better Minecraft and I've been using shaders on top of it (Game changing). This mod came along with it and man what an awesome mod

I believe you need a block two/three blocks above to add ropes downwards above a tomato plant
Just tried this in Creative and the plant can grow higher than 3 with bone meal it seems!

*Fun Fact:* Maybe the episode 32 of "Animation vs. Minecraft" was inspired by this Mod. The Tomate Seeds that appear are literally the same texture.

As much as I love Minecraft, the fact Mojang doesn’t seem to be taking much if any inspiration from modders is honestly a bit absurd
So many of these features are intuitive and should already be in the game, mushroom colonies and fertilizer blocks for example

Used this mod in my smp session and it’s a blast! Works great with the Alcocraft mod

A lot of food mods (and mods/people in general) mistake quantity for quality. Instead of adding tons of new crops that each only have a few recipes, Farmer’s Delight adds a few crops that makes tons of recipes! Easily a staple on my modded playthroughs.
Didn't know about the 3 high tomatoes or the difference between bowl meals (comfort) and plate meals (nourishment). I never realized it was the dish it was served in that made the difference.
So this is why Alan just make an animation vs Cooking loved it.
Not to mention all the cool add ons for the mod! This mod and the Create Mod are the only ones I bother using add ons for. Totally worth it!

This is one of those mods that 100% needs to be in vanilla. Food and cooking have been neglected in Minecraft since the beginning, and this adds lots of depth without destroying progression or balance in other places.
I love cooking and I love video game food, so this mod is perfect for me
