14:40 Danny died in a car crash. The steps are car seats, the glass pane a windshield fragment, and the lone pieces of black being wheels. The singleplayer world where the music "Danny" plays is, I suspect, him trying to enjoy Minecraft again and the flower being placed is in memorium of his friend. The world deleting itself is, I suspect, Danny's spirit slowly deleting the world in an attempt to tell Mason to let go and move on which by the time of acceptance seems to happen. Mason seems to finally get the message that sticking around and preserving the memory of Danny isn't doing him any good and his friend has been sending him a message. The video where nothing bad happens and the music "Danny" plays in the newly generated world is where Danny's spirit is truly being preserved by enjoying minecraft and just having fun. All in all, a simple story where a guy who's clearly not been doing much of anything judging by his empty minecraft world is being told by his friend from beyond the grave to "move on and have fun again" instead of beating himself up. Honestly? A sad but sweet story.
This is genuinely one of the most beautiful minecraft args I've seen, no evil being, no dumb creepypasta, just a sad story with a bittersweet ending. Knights did a great job with this one, I'll have to watch it myself
the ending make me teary, this is genuinely so sad. I speculated Danny is a person close to the player and probably gone/dead, the world disappearing showing that the player is simply going through grief.
This is probably the best Minecraft ARG i've seen there's no interdimensional entity coming for your ass cuz you're the perfect specimen or some type shit, it's just pure Minecraft gameplay with some weird glitches, and there's no dialogues needed to tell a story which is pretty impressive, and also the ending is just perfect with the song and the atmosphere.

A little detail : the video "a new world" starts up with a new Minecraft world, but Mason somehow has the same hotbar and inventory from his and Danny's world that was disappearing making that new world a continuation showing that he has now fully let go of his past and now starting over and continuing without being chained from his past.
Honestly this is my favourite channel you've ever covered, it tells a story that stands out from the rest, the way Mason deals with loosing Danny in minecraft is very similar to how normally people deal with loosing someone important to them. The rose was representing Danny from the very beggining and was the one and only thing that made it to Mason's new world, he accepted the loss of Danny but kept a core memory about him...
Man the story is so sweet the whole way through. It really touched me in a way I never though of and let me understand the perspective of losing someone you love so dearly. The reactions and camera movements of the character was also very well done. This was done amazingly.
@@tazyy-ol-me Don't read comments before watching the video. Of COURSE the comments will be talking about the video (that's their whole purpose), so OF COURSE there will be spoilers. What, should nobody talk about the actual video in the video's comment section? Heck no. Watch the video, THEN read what people thought about it. 🤦♀️
@@ZaCloud-Animations___she-her don't you ever find a funny or an interrsting moment in the video and want to talk about it in the comments? But then you get spoilers? Thats it. Also why did you write a paragraph?
The hell episode genuinely made me feel on edge. I love it subverts expectations by leaving the "vanishing blocks" problem and taking Mason into a completely different scenario which felt disorienting. The anomalies have been subtle throughout the series and this just hits you straight in the face which makes it so effective. Especially the part where Mason sees random blocks in the road. It means nothing at first, but the unnerving feeling you get once you figure out the implications of it; blocks any veteran minecraft player would use to make a car for their builds; forms into a tragedy that Mason must have witnessed. It's like a dog whistle to the players who played this game and is nostalgic about it. it's honestly just CHEFS KISS
I have a feeling that “Danny” is dead. The world disappearing is symbolism for Mason’s world falling apart. The rose, and you also mention him being angry, then accepting it. Similar to the stages of grief. As well as the song “Danny” playing. And the road and blocks seemingly scaring him. Glass, stairs, all blocks you would use to build a car in Minecraft. Traffic lights as well. Seems to imply a car accident, with the scattered pieces across the road. Maybe Mason and Danny were in a car together, it crashed badly, and Danny died. Mason survived and won’t let go of Danny. Edit: They were likely either brothers, best friends, or in a romantic relationship.
@@serventium4049 Thats what I theorised of the "escaping to hell" video when he mentioned it again But now I have a question Why is this episode called "escaping to hell" ?
As someone who just lost someone very precious and important to me (albeit not dead, luckily yet, "just" parted ways and hope we can reuinte), I saw coming what this was about as soon as the importance was shifting so much on Danny's castle. And man, this was a hard watch. Honestly, for the fact they used Minecraft out of all things to depict this, it was beautifully made. Kudos to the creator. Time to cry in a corner.
Ngl, I started crying immediately upon seeing Mason's fixation on Danny's castle. I lost my best friend in the exact same way. I'm still desperately preserving everything I did with her, just like Mason did. It was so painful to watch, but at the same time relaxing to see that maybe one day I'll heal like Mason has.
@@Birdsong231 Yeah, that realization hit close to home, despite the fact, that I didn't lose the person, we just drifted apart. We had quite a close friendship in high school and in the last year of it I made a server, where our entire little group played, but it became a hangout sport for the two of us after she broke up with her bf, after that high school ended I got into a very bad cycle mentally, ended falling out with her two times (luckily reconciled after both) and drifted apart as time went on, but we still keep in touch on occasion. I still have the server's world file tho' and I keep it safe and I try to make sure to not delete it.
This is an Arg I can relate to. My brother died 4 years ago suddenly due to heart problems, and while my maps ain't deleting themselves, the quality of gaming, and what Minecraft meant to me are really gone downhill since. Its not the same without him. He cant be replaced, he cant be forgotten, but there is only the empty feeling of missing him. The nostalgia of playing LAN hits hard. I glad that you showcased this to us. Thank you
@@ladyalicent705 its a long journey, but im healing. Not fully, and it will never be the same, but accepting the loss is a must. Its important to continue our life, as the world doesn’t stop for us, and sooner or later we have to get back to our everyday lives
Danny got in a car crash. Think about it. How would you make a car in Minecraft? Perhaps, a button, on black blocks with stairs and glass panes. What do we see on the road? Those pieces.
Something that I just realised is that during “escaping to hell”, Mason was in creative. Given that creative mode in Minecraft comes with unlimited power, flight and invincibility, it could symbolise that Mason believes that he had the power to save Danny but didn’t, and the fact he doesn’t have his items could symbolise his inaction
At the end of "Acceptance" he broke the chest with the rose in, he fell to his death, but was saved by something, carrying the only thing he has left from his old world he played with Danny who died in a car crash, and the "Escape To Hell" video, is him reliving that same incident which he calls his hell, his hell is the day that Danny died.
I believe the titles of the videos give us hints, too. Escaping to Hell tells us that Mason has turned to an unhealthy lifestyle in an attempt to forget, that is, until he remembers the crash that killed his friend. In Border, he isolates himself from everyone. Finally, in A New World, Mason realises that he can start a new life. Of course, he remembers his friend, but he doesn't let that ruin him. Another detail to point out that we can infer is that Mason planted saplings in a futile attempt to keep holding on. He is trapped in a cycle of hope and disappointment. All in all, this is an example of genius storytelling that I can only hope to reach the level of one day.
I’m not normally one for long comments but, This reminds me of the Minecraft book “The Crash”. If you haven’t read it is about a girl who gets in a car crash with a good friend and they die while she only gets paralyzed. In the hospital she gets to get in a type of VR Minecraft where a person’s thoughts can influence the world, she sees her friend in the game and tries to be with him as much as possible but him being there is destroying the world. The book is about her dealing with the grief of the death of a close friend.
Didn't think someone would ever mention this book lmao. I read it 3 years ago, and I remember the protagonist was in denial about her good friend not surviving the crash. I don't recall the world destroying itself, but I do have a vague memory of reading her VR friends die whilst fighting the Ender Dragon, which lead up to the moment of acceptance. Honestly, it's very well written and the ending was quite emotional. I should probably read it again
I wouldn't say it symbolizes Mason forgetting Danny, but more so his world falling apart without Danny. Going through the videos, it's obvious that he stays pretty fond of Danny, so much that he keeps repairing his house amidst the world slowly disintegrating around him. He just doesn't want to lose the feeling of playing with Danny. Think of it this way, you know whenever you're mad or upset and try to play a calming game to help you relax, but nothing seems to interest you and it makes you feel worse? It's the same concept. Mason wants to keep playing this world to help him forget that Mason is gone, as well as to keep his name engraved permanently through the world. But the lack of Danny being there is ruining how the game is meant to feel. He doesn't enjoy the game, he just focuses on keeping everything together and standing, even if he sacrifices his own belongings. Like the video states, it describes the five stages of grief, and by the end of the ARG, Mason has accepted Danny being gone, and that's when the game goes back to how it's meant to be played.
I believe that it means the more you hold onto something you've already lost, the more it'll drive you to insanity. And then after he finally let go of trying to hold on it felt much more "free", because now he isn't stuck grieving over the loss of Danny, whoever he might be to him.
Your pronunciation and variation in tone really makes these videos so much better than other ARG telling channels and I really respect it and appreciate it. If anything, I can ONLY watch yours now. You raised the bar and I'm here for it.
Seriously! This story was so well put together and spoke to me so well even never having experienced something like that. I wish all of you guys who have had to go through challenges losing a loved one will be comforted, it must be so hard man
The lack of bedrock… I already saw another slightly terrifying ARG where _a single hole_ broken in the bedrock layer lead to the void consuming the entire world. Edit 2, lots of people are asking for the name. I don’t remember, sorry :( Possible similar to what’s going on here. What happened to the bedrock in the first place, though? Edit, I think I’ve figured out what the bedrock’s symbolism is. Danny was very clearly somebody very important to Mason, the bedrock’s disappearance probably symbolizes Mason’s world being torn from its foundation by Danny’s death. And bedrock is the foundation of a Minecraft world, right?
Calling it right now,Danny is dead and Masons world destroying is an allegory for moving on, and he's going through the different stages of depression.
@@Cameron20199 Makes sense. Nether episode. Blood red sky as the blood of Danny. the black 'wool' was a tire piece. stairs: metal.. glass.. windshield. That means the car was as follows. We were walking to the front. So, that means, past that, a body, if not, loose items from an inventory. By then, it must have faded away. The nether is gone. The chunks are gone. Eveything is gone. As Mason breaks the last piece of the world, to their castle, begins the last stage. Acceptance.
@@spin4team4096 I believe that would make the most sense. Danny's passing left chunks and severed Mason's world into pieces, leaving almost nothing of Mason's old life. The fact that the chunks containing the flowers were disconnected, and Mason tries to bridge to it, could imply Mason's attempt to reach out to Danny, or his wish to be connected with Danny once more.
i think the supernatural thing behind the dissapearing chunks,is the danny's soul itself, and it is bonded to this world, tormented, not free, and its trying to destroy one single thing that keeps it connected to this world, the castle, the only thing he left behind himself, that keeps him in this world, and mason is just not ready to let go,and the castle serving as a single piece of memory left of danny. P.S. the unlisted video might be the soul of danny showing mason that he's truly gone, unable to be restored, thats why mason runs away from the blinding truth.
10:08 Danny can be inferred to be dead because of that one short video with the music, it was titled “Danny” and he placed a rose and looked into the sunset, showing maybe some evidence of Mason morning his loss.
thats really accurate, and maybe the world disappearing is the memory of danny fading, which is also why mason tries to repair it, he acts out accidentally and angrily, but in the next video he is trying to repair the world because he damaged his memory of danny and doesnt want to let go, so hes trying to conserve it for as long as possible
Damn, I'm glad i got recommended this video. It really shows what i tell a lot of people. That minecraft is the most memorable game ever made for our generation, but it can rather be made of a reminder of your worst memories or your best. For me, the memories this game brings me are so bad I can't even open up the game anymore. Now over a year ago i went through the worst breakup imaginable and it made me lose my job, my home at the time, and my identity. Me and her and this minecraft world it was survival only, had multiple cities, a nether highway, and was set up to get every achievement. I loved this world and it symbolized our relationship aswell but when she kicked me out I was left with only the world and my trauma. For the month after I was kicked out when I got resettled in my place before which was a few states away. I attempted to continue the world alone but the pain was too much to even play it so everytime i only had the energy to walk around it. Everytime i toured it I was only left with the reminder of all the pain I went through. I never destroyed the world as it collects dust in my saves. However, I feel like the destruction of Mason and Dannys world shows the battle within Masons mind. All of his good memories have been destroyed and replaced with both pain and the feeling of emptiness. He tried to start a new world but he was still tied up to the old one so he could not move on, so he returned to what was left of the fragments of his past. Minecraft can rather be a shrine of good times gone by or a graveyard full of only pain, grief, and emptiness. 24:00
“But don’t believe me, just pay attention to the inventories, in fact, the only item that’s different in Mason’s inventory before and after the fall, is the one item we suspected he put in the chest all those episodes ago, _the rose…._ *The one remaining fragment of the Minecraft world that destroyed itself. . .”* This is the literary equivalent of being stabbed in the heart, you need to become a writer Wifies, your skills surpass even Dragoon’s….
This is the epitome of (horror) story telling. Appearing out of nowherewith just 8 videos. The URL appering for one frame. Giving an uneasy feeling and limited clues to what´s happening, the music appearing twice, the movement, the rebuilding, the destruction of his last chunk, the cliffhanger, the coding that was probably done. Simply perfect. Well done Mason. This video was like a movie, well done Wifies. Thank you for such an amazing experience. My eyes are filled with tears.
I love the true meaning behind all the videos and how it tells a true story. I think how Danny died was probably in a car wreak, in "Escaping to Hell," I bet that is why is looks like a road, and the random blocks are bits of the car.
I like to imagine that in that new world, Mason went on to make Danny's castle in the world, as a memory. And added onto it, using Danny's castle as a way to move on, and grow.
Rebuilding Danny's castle was the exact thing that made it impossible for him to move on in the first place, the moral of the story is to _stop_ trying to recreate that which you've lost and only then can you truly move on.
@titaniumvulpes I know. I'm not saying that he's trying to recreate what he's lost. I'm saying that I like to imagine that he used what he lost to make something bigger out of it. He used it as a memory, and not a hindrance after he accepted it.
If I had a nickel for every time a Minecraft arg had a character who shared the same name as a C418 track, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice right?
My theory is that Danny is the one who is "haunting" the world and that he's trying to force his friend to let go because he sees Mason's suffering. It's not the world against Mason. It's his friend trying to help him move on. It would be a good parallel to reality, too. When people are most vulnerable, they sometimes need a helping hand to get back on their feet. It's ok to grieve, but not healthy to let it take control of you, and maybe Danny saw that happening to Mason from wherever you go after passing. That would add another explanation the roads in the nether along with the accident, you take a road to go somewhere, and Mason refused to move forward past a certain point at that time because he was afraid to lose one of the few memories of Danny he had.
@@JelloJio yes! I was also thinking about the rose and dandelion too, it would explain why the flowers were some of the last to delete too, probably Danny appreciating them or trying to tell Mason that he wants him to let go and that he is still watching over him. It must have been hard for both of them.
26:27 ooo ooo. I think i know what this road in the nether might be. So basically danny was in a car, going down the road and got into an accident. (That explains the random blocks) Im guessing Mason doesn’t want to relive this experience so he runs back and gets rid of the portal.
this was truly a great story i loved how you composed it and told it especially with the ending and its deep meaning and connection, great work wife’s… look forward to seeing you in the unstable universe!! :)
I had picked up on the undertones of grief by just the titles of the videos when you showed them near the beginning. The actions in the first two videos confirmed it, with the denial being him trying to just keep playing, and the anger is pretty obvious. The bargaining is of course the offerings, etc, etc. Simple sad story, but still well told. I can imagine that this is a story which really happened, Danny either being a good childhood friend or even a sibling who died in a car accident, likely a repressed memory since the roadway is in the nether. The rose was a giveaway as well, pretty blatant. The themes aren't subtle, but that's okay. I like this story very much, and I wish Mason the best.
the fact a minecraft arg ending is what makes me tear up out of so many more properly made movies and such is impressive, because it shows you need to have a existing, relatable story more than unrealistic things happening, like all those other minecraft args, knights did a good one here
It’s better then Hollywood because it is (probably) an 8 year old child trying to accept his friend’s death and not a cash grab from a multimillion dollar company
27:30 it feels like he had fell to the void , but actually didnt and survived by landing on the new world , bc if i look at it , it feels like hes looking around not believing the chunks arent missing.. edit 1 : thanks for the likes ^^
im about 1/4 of the way through and i feel like this is about grief and dealing with loss. its honestly making me tear up watching him desperately try to fix everything edit: theres so much symbolism and emotion portrayed through minecraft gameplay without commentary ugh i love this
Wifies, the first time i landed on this channel i didnt think much of it. But the more that i watch your videos the more i realize that your way of Analyzation is absolutely outstanding. Keep making analysis of Minecraft arg’s, your style of doing them sends excitement and chills down my spine!
Ok so first off I really appreciate that this video makes no assertions about the meaning of the ARG until the very, very end. It just gives all the facts and lets us figure things out for ourselves- that's really cool and definitely not the norm for this kind of content, it's great!! That said though, it seems like a pretty straightforward one, so lemme put my hat into the ring as for what I think is going on here, even if it does closely mirror what you said at the end: The series is focused on grief, loss and acceptance. Yes, Danny is dead- I believe even before the first video, just for narrative cohesion even if the description makes it a bit unclear. The clue that this is the case is "New World" which is transparently Mason's memorial to his close friend, with the music being a meta hint to the viewer rather than an 'intentional' decision made by Mason while editing. The reason that Mason refuses to leave the world after this despite the somewhat scary occurrences is because he cannot accept that Danny is gone, and is clinging to memories of him. The episodes themselves follow the stages of grief, though not necessarily in direct order. "fighting back" being anger, "repairs" being denial, "hope" being bargaining, "amekhania" being depression, and "acceptance" being what the name implies, as well as in a meta way formally signifying to the viewer that the videos follow this pattern. Other videos give us a glimpse at Mason's mental state, like "moving house" showing that he's stopped taking care of himself and dedicated himself to preserving this memory, and "border" perhaps signifying him feeling closed off from the outside world while going through this process. I believe that "calm" is also denial, but in the sense that he's denying there is a problem at all, immersing himself in trying to be happy by clinging to these memories, thus the return of the music, which I still believe to be a meta decision rather than Mason choosing to add it. This is also the video where we are shown the link to "escaping to hell", which though cryptic, I believe to be a hint as to how Danny died, perhaps in a car accident, signified by the rubble and 'broken glass'. It is not included in the main series because HOW Danny died is not important- it is about how Mason grapples with it. Anyways, that's all I have !! A lot of it is pretty obvious but there's some good stuff in here I think- it's worth noting that the chest with the rose, the offering he gave at the lake, is the last thing he lets go of, but he still lets go. It being the last video shows us that he's moved on. It's a beautiful ARG, I appreciate its simplicity, it's something you can dig into and work out in under an hour which is such a rarity. The messaging is solid, too! Whenever stories like this tackle subjects like grief, loss and mental health, there's always the worry they'll be handled poorly or tastelessly, and that is luckily not the case here. Had a great time with this one- thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Theory. The Minecraft world is their memory and didn't want to forget about Danny so they kept repairing the castle until acceptance where they accepted that holding on to the memory is just gonna make life harder to them so they destroyed it and made a new world and sees it as their life without Danny.
Not so much ‘without Danny’ as in forget about him, which is why he kept the rose. Rather, he accepted that Danny is gone, and nothing could ever, ever bring him back, and that going back to their old world would just continue to hurt him (the decay of his own home was symbolic of his neglected self care), so he accepted that Danny was gone and couldn’t be brought back, but understood that he can live on forever in his heart
Creators like these are so amazing. The story is simple yet it gives me so many feelings and inspires me to create videos and stories myself. I hope Knight gets to create more and is doing well.
if I were them I'd delete minecraft, break my computer, burn my house, become president of my country to delete it from existence with nukes, then proceed to go on the moon and live there
Underrated video. This arg is such a deep, not basic codes in stop-frame, monsters, generating issues etc. Thinking about, this one takes people relationships, you can understand this only if you think a lot, which is pretty rewarding.
I already picked up on the fact this series was a metaphor for the five stages of grief, likely in relation to a deceased friend named Danny, well before the actual analysis part of this video.
Danny is dead. This episode is all about the other dude, but the main thing is Danny. Notice how the only remaining “chunk” is Danny’s castle. The one thing he’s repaired. Notice how the one chunk remaining is the one he repaired the tree from. Danny died, and that’s the reason he stayed. How did he die, you might ask? Look at “Escaping to hell.” You see a road. That road eventually shows tires. A window. The car door. Danny died to a car accident. That’s why his “Hell” is the road. That’s why the “hell” had all those random blocks. Not because they were random, but just like the other videos, it told a story.
at 22:09 Making a theory before everything is revealed, I think that danny, a potential brother, cousin, or friend, died in a car crash (since the nether scene with the road and blocks, and mason gained dementia from the car crash, serving as a connection to everything going away, and since danny's castle hasn't gone away yet, it might be the only thing mason can remember.
Okay so this is what i think happened before i saw half of the vid. danny is dead and he died in a car crash hiting a tree burning the leaves off, in his and masons world its being destroyed Symbolizing masons world being destroyed by the news and dannys world being gone, the reason he stays there is because he misses danny and he keeps rebuilding the last thing he has of him/the castle and hes showing the signs of grief fighting the world and making amends to the world, the red poppy represents flowers that would be at a grave, mason wants to be with danny but when he looks back he Realizes he cant go back and hes stuck,he starts only caring for danny and stops anything else, untill he remembers he should care about himself which is the dandelion, he goes back to danny he stops cating about himself again and goes back to danny only danny, he trys to rebuild his thoughts but then trys to give up on danny and himself and gets to the top and drops.
19:30 maybe in this episode, he repaired the tree and leaves it behind. The episode when he moved to dannys castle, the chunk with the tree that mason repaired, survived, then the chunk gets deleted. Rip.
Halfway through the video and I already have a theory built up: The world deleting itself might have something to do with Mason's friend Danny being dead. Proof so far: -The song "Danny" in the video with the new world. -Mason always repairing his friend's castle, trying to keep the memory alive. -The rose Mason places twice over, and both situations relating to Danny in some way (the first time, he does it with the song Danny playing in the background, and the second time, he does so in Danny's castle). -We haven't met Danny in person yet. I'll edit this when I see the ending and confirm whether I was right or wrong. Update: Welp, I got neither confirmation, nor denial. I'll just take this as a win to keep my ego unharmed.
I think Brok's riddle from God of War sums up this mystery very well. What gets bigger the more you take away from it? A hole. The missing chunks are holes that keep getting bigger as their substance and form are slowly being taken away. It's implied that the world was shared between the player and danny. When danny died, the world lost it's value and the holes got bigger with the player trying their very best to preserve the last chunk with the castle. The last chunk did not vanish on its own because that memory was for the player and it was up to the player to find acceptance and destroy the chunk on their own.
Okay, this was a really interesting video, but can I say that I love your choice of ending music? Evanescence just...REALLY hits that sweet spot for sad and bittersweet situations.
RIP Danny😢 Also I kinda think the world was disappearing because of Danny coming back from the dead, trying to talk to Mason. And the thing in the nether, Danny made that. It was a road, maybe it led to something. Something Danny wanted to show Mason. Some last words from Danny. And at the end, the world coming back, was a gift, an apology from Danny. Also you’ve got a new sub!
I think it's a story about how it feels when everything is crumbling dein around you, your whole life is breaking down and you can't stop it, the last undefeated chunk was maybe some hope resparked, the destroying of the world knights did himself could be seen as self harm, the offerings could be calls for help to trusted family, but overall nothing happened - and so he got rid of everything, and broke the chest - which was him truly falling into his despair and finishing himself off.
Words cannot describe how much i love this, theres no cliches, no monsters, just emotions and memories being portrayed in a game. This is so simple and short yet so complex and emotional, and it tells a story so well written i swear if this was shown to my language and literature teacher she would give this person an award for how well-made this is, how it portrays the feeling of loosing someone you cared about is so on point its just AMAZING. If i suddenly lost one of my friends, id feel like this too, like my world is falling apart. Death is something harsh, but tell me, does it hurt more to be the person who suffers it or the person who has to bare with the death of that someone? The person who could have saved them? The person who could have tried to do so and failed? If i had to bear with that feeling, the feeling of being an useless imbecile for the rest of my life, i wouldnt live long. And it leads me to think, was the end of the last video meant to represent Mason moving on or him ending his life?
🙂

This theory makes the most sense to me
And what if, the spawned tree after the last chunk disappeared, was Danny realizing Mason was suffering, and tried to give him a last hope?

A little detail : the video "a new world" starts up with a new Minecraft world, but Mason somehow has the same hotbar and inventory from his and Danny's world that was disappearing making that new world a continuation showing that he has now fully let go of his past and now starting over and continuing without being chained from his past.
How is he completely starting over and moving on if he felt the need to keep the exact same items?
@@kendallbyrd966I think he meant that although he’s mourning Danny, he still hasn’t let go. He still holds onto a small bit of him and their world.

Thats what I theorised of the "escaping to hell" video when he mentioned it again
But now I have a question
Why is this episode called "escaping to hell" ?
Hey man, unrelated, but i was born the year you created your channel. Just wanted to point that out
@Birdsong231
If it doesn’t hurt you to tell us, what happened?
We would be interested to know..
My condolences, sir.
ikr, losing sm1 close to me was jus like this too...
Thank you

At the end of "Acceptance" he broke the chest with the rose in, he fell to his death, but was saved by something, carrying the only thing he has left from his old world he played with Danny who died in a car crash, and the "Escape To Hell" video, is him reliving that same incident which he calls his hell, his hell is the day that Danny died.
holy hell 💔
Woah. That’s why there was a road. That also explained why he destroyed everything and jumped off. He was done, done with life, done with everything.

the amount of likes is 911. which most likely, couldnt save danny.
@@i_stole_your_milk That’s so dark.
No creepypastas nor malevolent entities, just a minecraft ARG that tells a sad story. I can confidently say that this is an ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
definitly the best one of these minecraft kind of series so far
Yeah HOW AND WHY was this so amazingly poetic for being told in a Minecraft series

@@PlacideusaxIIVsure bro. sure.

OMG I LOVE THAT BOOK
frfr it was a really nice book
Crazy how this is considered "long".
That is NOT a long comment. This is a single paragraph.
P.S. the chunks disappearing probably symbolize mason forgetting things about danny
And then after he finally let go of trying to hold on it felt much more "free", because now he isn't stuck grieving over the loss of Danny, whoever he might be to him.
i feel like its more about dannys health deteriorating
i think herobrine corrupted his world. Think about it the trees have no leaves like if herobrine corrupted his world
i thought it had to do with some sort of cancer battle until the end

The lack of bedrock…
I already saw another slightly terrifying ARG where _a single hole_ broken in the bedrock layer lead to the void consuming the entire world.
Edit 2, lots of people are asking for the name. I don’t remember, sorry :(
Possible similar to what’s going on here.

@@1VinnyliciousME TOO.
Acceptance.
19:39 I think it survived because of the flower: the castle has the rose in the chest, and the other chunk has the dandelion.
What do those flowers symbolise? Maybe Danny and himself?
@@spin4team4096 I believe that would make the most sense. Danny's passing left chunks and severed Mason's world into pieces, leaving almost nothing of Mason's old life. The fact that the chunks containing the flowers were disconnected, and Mason tries to bridge to it, could imply Mason's attempt to reach out to Danny, or his wish to be connected with Danny once more.
and I think that specific chunk survived because that was the same exact chunk Mason decided to help by placing an oak log in the tree.
Maybe the chunks dissapearing is Danny trying to tell Mason to forget about him?
Ooo I like that
i think the supernatural thing behind the dissapearing chunks,is the danny's soul itself, and it is bonded to this world, tormented, not free, and its trying to destroy one single thing that keeps it connected to this world, the castle, the only thing he left behind himself, that keeps him in this world, and mason is just not ready to let go,and the castle serving as a single piece of memory left of danny.
P.S. the unlisted video might be the soul of danny showing mason that he's truly gone, unable to be restored, thats why mason runs away from the blinding truth.
10:08 Danny can be inferred to be dead because of that one short video with the music, it was titled “Danny” and he placed a rose and looked into the sunset, showing maybe some evidence of Mason morning his loss.
And the world disintegrating could be symbolizing the memory of Danny fading
@@KrappyMusicyou genius
thats really accurate, and maybe the world disappearing is the memory of danny fading, which is also why mason tries to repair it, he acts out accidentally and angrily, but in the next video he is trying to repair the world because he damaged his memory of danny and doesnt want to let go, so hes trying to conserve it for as long as possible

You commented five seconds after I did.
THIS 👀
Me too! I thought the same thing. However, not this specific, but the same idea
Additionally, it could connect to how his friend, Danny, may have resulted in a car accident due to the roads across the nether.

It just gives all the facts and lets us figure things out for ourselves- that's really cool and definitely not the norm for this kind of content, it's great!! That said though, it seems like a pretty straightforward one, so lemme put my hat into the ring as for what I think is going on here, even if it does closely mirror what you said at the end:
The series is focused on grief, loss and acceptance.
Only after letting go of it did Danny let him keep the rose.
3:00 how is bro finding ARGs with 2 views
It's his job 🤷♂️
My guess is the person who made the ARG reached out to him
what is ARG?

He probably made it himself
I hope Knight gets to create more and is doing well.
if I were them I'd delete minecraft, break my computer, burn my house, become president of my country to delete it from existence with nukes, then proceed to go on the moon and live there
Then destroy the moon and move to mar
thats exactly what im saying
I’d call Kevin

but what about danny..?

Beautiful video, I normally don't like or subscribe to anything these days but this video moved me
Underrated video.
This arg is such a deep, not basic codes in stop-frame, monsters, generating issues etc.
Thinking about, this one takes people relationships, you can understand this only if you think a lot, which is pretty rewarding.
27:17 absolute cinema 🙌
I already picked up on the fact this series was a metaphor for the five stages of grief, likely in relation to a deceased friend named Danny, well before the actual analysis part of this video.
This is by far one of the best minecraft arg’s i’ve ever seen.
Truly creative, and it tells a story
Danny is dead. This episode is all about the other dude, but the main thing is Danny.
Notice how the only remaining “chunk” is Danny’s castle. The one thing he’s repaired. Notice how the one chunk remaining is the one he repaired the tree from. Danny died, and that’s the reason he stayed. How did he die, you might ask?
Look at “Escaping to hell.” You see a road. That road eventually shows tires. A window. The car door. Danny died to a car accident. That’s why his “Hell” is the road. That’s why the “hell” had all those random blocks. Not because they were random, but just like the other videos, it told a story.
at 22:09 Making a theory before everything is revealed, I think that danny, a potential brother, cousin, or friend, died in a car crash (since the nether scene with the road and blocks, and mason gained dementia from the car crash, serving as a connection to everything going away, and since danny's castle hasn't gone away yet, it might be the only thing mason can remember.
i still like my theory better
just saw the ending
i take it back
Helo
This is amazing

19:30 maybe in this episode, he repaired the tree and leaves it behind. The episode when he moved to dannys castle, the chunk with the tree that mason repaired, survived, then the chunk gets deleted. Rip.

12:20 “how One-block started…” ahh mason
This was really eerie at first (game glitches scare me) but as the story progressed, it felt bittersweet but hopefull
Halfway through the video and I already have a theory built up: The world deleting itself might have something to do with Mason's friend Danny being dead.
Proof so far:
-The song "Danny" in the video with the new world.
I'll just take this as a win to keep my ego unharmed.
hi
Either you never finished the video or forgot, lmao.
"Just start a new world."

im crying after the ending this guy def deserves a sub for the story telling and music choice and RIP dandy

I think this is a happy ending for an mc arg.
accepting it, letting go, moving on, healing, but still remembering.

Wifie, wonderful narration of this
I love it and it actually made me cry ngl 😢
Okay, this was a really interesting video, but can I say that I love your choice of ending music? Evanescence just...REALLY hits that sweet spot for sad and bittersweet situations.
RIP Danny😢 Also I kinda think the world was disappearing because of Danny coming back from the dead, trying to talk to Mason. And the thing in the nether, Danny made that. It was a road, maybe it led to something. Something Danny wanted to show Mason. Some last words from Danny. And at the end, the world coming back, was a gift, an apology from Danny. Also you’ve got a new sub!
i got chills from the ending, amazing video

The amount of emotion put in this 27 minutes is more that a 100 movies
Why is it always old Minecraft that's SOOO terrifying😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏
The weak render distance, the lack of details, the overall nostalgia and emptiness.
that feeling that there's something just beyond the world's fog, the nostalgia and simplicity, the isolation, the old textures
@@supercharged5-39 Same thing, Same thing.
I love your videos, keep up the good work man
I think it's a story about how it feels when everything is crumbling dein around you, your whole life is breaking down and you can't stop it, the last undefeated chunk was maybe some hope resparked, the destroying of the world knights did himself could be seen as self harm, the offerings could be calls for help to trusted family, but overall nothing happened - and so he got rid of everything, and broke the chest - which was him truly falling into his despair and finishing himself off.
Did i almost just cried to a random and stereotipicall minecraft arg?

Lumi from CaL: *_NO_*
Words cannot describe how much i love this, theres no cliches, no monsters, just emotions and memories being portrayed in a game.
